Why anyone would consider a jacket size that can't even button is beyond me. I am on board with the tailored look but some of these examples are way too tight and look silly. Love this jacket and their color options. Green is my top choice on this jacket.

The grey definitely still looks good on you unbuttoned. If I ever outgrow mine, my rationale is to only button it when it's on a coathanger in the wardrobe. That way the buttons at least still serve a purpose 😄🤔
The olive doesn't get enough love! Looks great on you. I have the grey and the tan (both unlined) and they're two of my favorite jackets of all time, right alongside the FnT waxed trucker :)
You like your jackets much tighter than I do so I plan to size up to a medium, but you have converted me to that olive!

I think you're right in your approach with the sizing of the jacket. It is designed to be a slim fit and worn as such. If you want something more boxy and to layer something under, there are other brands that are better designed for that.
Those jackets all look 1 size too small in you.
Maybe even 2 sizes.
I just got my Spoly jacket last week. I had the opportunity to try on a store two sizes, L and XL; I went with the L even though I couldn't butom it up. The XL was too long in the arms and didn't look that good on me. This design is meant to give a slim look, IMO. Great vid Dale 🙌

Great video Dale, I have this jacket and like yourself I also like the military look . I have a cool jacket called the interval PD jacket from Triple Aught Design I have the Selvedge denim version but they also have a waxed canvas version . It’s a uniquely cool jacket if you get a chance check it out and if you can do a video on it that would be cool too 👍🏼

@@DalesLeatherworks I have been watching your videos for years all great content… but the jacket like I said is military looking piece it’s really nice in the denim styles. I didn’t buy the waxed version because I have a few waxed jackets and it’s look is similar to Selvedge denim jacket. They don’t have reviews out there on this product . TAD has like an introductory review but not much else out there other than that

The small does not fit you perfectly, at all. You look ridiculous in it. Too tight under the arm. Too small. You need a size bigger. Maybe two.
It needs a second chest pocket. I have an issue with symmetry.
