Once again Michael you’ve knocked its out the park, and what a fine park it is too! I love RGT. I shop in London at the store where the Bond set dressers spotted the brand, stuck Daniel Craig in one and now the brand has gone stratospheric.
@@lawrenceh7182 sometimes I regret moving away from London... Down in Devon now and the nearest place I can find any good is the iron heart shop, and travelling hours for denim I can't afford seems like a useless endeavour!
I buy pretty much every item they've released since 2020. My favorite denim company, their Supply Jacket is seen in a lot of Hollywood movies, most recently Project Adam and James Bond No Time To Die, this shashiko jacket is one of kind, sells out in mere seconds. I was lucky enough to buy one
I've heard a lot about the super slim fit of RGT products so it's nice to see some products that you can move around in. Gret video, mike, that campsite was indeed beautiful. NJ holds many wild secrets!
I love the Silveridge jeans fit they developed with SOP. I have the Silveridge Ecru (White), Cyrpic Stealth (Black) and Green Monster (Blue) and their Indigo Sashiko Jacket - the quality is fantastic, the details are wonderful, and the measurements from the website are spot on.
I just ordered the RgT Supply Jacket in 15 oz denim. It will be my first piece from RgT so I am a bit nervous about what to expect in terms of fit/quality but after this and a few other videos I feel a lot more excited about it. I’m in between a small and medium (5’9 ~150 lbs) so I sized up to wear a sweater under it. Nice video, bro. Liked and subbed.
I want one.. so far my favorite jackets are the Bradley Mountain cabin & chore coats, Rogue Territory Shishiko, and of course the Iron Snail line of Denim/Wool. I don't have any yet lol, besides the B. Mountain chore coat.. best fitting jacket I've ever had.
I really hope they do another drop this year, thanks for sharing. Also, if you need video ideas I'd want to see some shishiko pants. Gustin has a heavy 12oz pair for $109 (I actually like their slim fit but decided not to get them). Railcar Fine Goods has a 12 oz pair with a veg tan patch that looks really nice, its $209 (I just ordered the tapered ones but don't have them yet). Rogue territories is $325 and feel like the cut & pockets look weird on the back (or at least that's my opinion from the photos).. Final option are lounge pants like the Apres from Flint & Tinder.. I love mine, super heavy/cozy , they are the only lounge/pajama pants I wear anymore.
Left Field NYC is definitely a great brand you should do a review on! I love there aesthetic and their products. Their shop in Queens is also one of THE coolest places I’ve ever been to. You should totally check it out!
i think the usual diagonal lines on type 3 helps taper the jacket, cuz the type iii is known for being slimmer than type i and ii known for being very boxy
Man, awesome video. I am new RGT stan, with two Officers Trousers in hand, my own sashiko cruiser en route, and the double front sashiko jeans on preorder! Absolutely love this brand so far, and would agree, one of the top American denim companies!
The two lines on Type 3 jackets is sort of an optical illusion, the tapering of the seams and with how a type 3 is constructed with more of a 3D pattern is part of the design to make for a more flattering ‘snug’ fit that aligns to the curves of the body. If you look at how a 60s type 3 is designed, the seams meet towards the waistband, by the 70-80s, the seams went more parallel than tapering/meeting at the waistband, a la modern type 3s, part of that probably has to do with change of styles and addition of hand warmer pockets. A 60s type 3 IMO fits waaay more snug if sized correctly than modern type 3s
Question; Did you ever end up soaking it warm/hot? Did it shrink? I have this jacket and it fits, like how you said just a tad bit too loose... would be great it it shrank a bit.
Great video! I am a new subscriber and I am slowly going through all your past videos, and enjoying every minute. I may have missed it but do you have any suggestions for quality chambray shirts?
If this video was a flavor. It would taste like Michael with a hint of Michael and the after taste and mouth feel of dry autumn leaves. Also - I’m glad you acknowledged the giant fuzzy caterpillar you were holding it was starting to feel like when someone has something on their nose and you don’t want to tell them and suddenly you go for it and the music in the background suddenly stops so you yell “you have something on your nose!” - no guilt though someone has to do it and today you were that guy.
Hey Michael, loved the video and I hope you feel better! I know you alluded to previous sashiko purchases of yours in this video, so could you give a direct comparison between this and your Momotary Sashiko Jacket?

That white-stitched key-hole, for me, nearly ruins it for me. I know, it's such a small thing but I really resent getting branded and though probably most people that might see me wearing the jacket won't have any idea what it would mean, I would and it would know and it would drive me bananas. I do own one Rogue Territory jacket and it's a denim zip up that closely resembles an L1 leather jacket with it's single breast pocket and discreet side pockets and traditional collar (I know it sounds like I'm describing their usual supply jacket type, but its not) and it's so sweet. Not many retailers aside from Rivet and Hide were seeming to sell it a few years back. It has wool as it's lining and a very nice satin sleeve lining. Feels great to wear and it's nearly perfect aside from only having a small zipper that functions in only a single direction.
They are definitely solid when the items are on point but the quality control is trash I have several RT jackets at L and Xl and the sizes are all different and the jackets are all the same model in different colors .
