Great video. I ordered mine today after watching your video and decided to size up. I’ll probably have to have it tailored similar to what you’ve described here. Great content as always!
Wow, Steve for the win! Seems like a great fit. Ordered mine just now
There large looks great on you! Thanks for always taking these videos the extra mile!
Fantastic video as always. I went for a small. Had the sleeves and back contouring tailored on mine. My tailor did an amazing job. Really appreciate these videos 👍🏻
What chest and waist are you Lee?
Sean Warren hi I’m a 36-37 chest with a 30 waist.
@@smoothsaint8917 Thanks! I think I'm in between Small and Medium so was interested to hear what size you are.👍
I used to have the blanket lined version. Great jacket. Had to let it go due to a lack of room in the shoulders. If I'm getting this, it's going to be in one size larger.
Ordering my piece all the way from Japan, I've gone into contemplating mode of whether if I've ordered one size too small because it was tight on my shoulders. Thank you for solving this wonder for me, now I know that small size instead of XS is going to be too big on the ab and long in the torso.
Good luck!
So I watched the video - bought a large, its absolutely swimming on me! So I'm going to my local tailor to get it adjusted! Pretty much the same as David though, taken in at the sides and sleeves taken up a bit.
Thinking about taking my medium RGT in now............was in between the small and medium but couldnt make up my mind, went with the medium because my BR peacoat in size small is a tad tight 4.5 years later and being the most form fitting piece I own I figured it would prove a decent template for the RGT buy. Another great and thought provoking video; well done as always david!
Many thanks!
Great video David love the jacket. It does fit very well. I hope Joe Darlington is not in your house hitting the single malt while you are in your garage filming this video..!!!!
I like your videos! Always enjoyable!
I got the XL and it was just a smidge snug in the chest. Looked great, but maybe a bit restrictive. got the XXL, but the sleeves were too long. I would say to anyone considering this jacket, consider sizing up. My chest is 44-45inches, and the XL claims to be 46.5, while the XXL claims to be 49.
I agree the medium is better - the extra fitted look IMO is where this jacket shines. Otherwise the bagginess is still okay but doesn’t look like a luxury jacket. Anyways, I think the other consideration you didn’t mention was the color - the medium is lighter and also looks better. This happened to me to I ordered a large and xl and the large was more fitted and lighter looked much better
Totally agree with this
You should check the freenote cloth riders jacket. It's not a bon jacket but it has a similar vibe and it is waxed too.
Thanks for the very informative video. So weren’t the sleeves a bit too large on the Large jacket? It didn’t need tapering around the upperarms?
Lol that intro 😅 really loving the intros 😊
Hey David- I just picked up a Barbour Beacon (the Icons version) and I’m worried it might be a bit too snug in the chest. Did you have your “To ki to” let out at Steve the tailor’s? I’m not too far from Newtown, so I could bring my jacket to him if that’s the case. Thanks for any advice and for your infectious enthusiasm about all things 007!
Since the side seams don’t go all the way to the bottom of the jacket, was there a seam added or was the bottom hem undone, cut, and resewn?
@thebondexperience how tall are you? I've been considering getting a large versus a medium. I didn't like how short the medium felt.
Same here. I guess when it gets waxed the color differs??
Is the access to the pocket now a little awkward on the tailored jacket?
Hi, how must did it cost to Taylor the jacket..
I bought a xl and it's too big 😭
Great intro! LOL
why don't you get a white lotus esprit ? or a z3M pretty cool a affordable bond cars ..
Hey man, thanks for the video any chance you could share your height and weight, will give me a better idea of which size to go for?
I am 6ft about 200lbs what size would you recommend ?
Hi. Possible -
Share / re-share your standard jacket size and weight 🤔
How long does it take to break in fully
I love your video clips. The medium jacket looks silly. It is much too small and tight for you. Jackets are not to be worn as shirts. The large looks fabulous on you. In the past decade suit and jacket manufacturers have been making jackets much tighter than before. However, many men, especially younger men, are working out and building up their pecs. The result is that the jackets don’t fit right and need the type of adjustments made expertly by Steve, your tailor. Bottom line...give the medium to your son and keep the large which fits better, looks classier and, hate to say it, is more age appropriate. Keep up the great work.
Mark Berber love it. And all great points! 😎👍
I'm 5'7 and 143.3lbs, do u recommend size Small or Extra Small that fit to me ??
Thank u man
Great video!
Thanks so much!
I'm going to order one.
It’s hard to tell if Craig is wearing the jacket super fitted in the body from the trailer. Perhaps once the film comes out we can get a better idea of how it’s worn.
As always, awesome video!
Hey Steve. I was wondering how tall are you. I recently ordered the medium but I feel it's a bit short. I may have to size up.
I’m going to wear for actually working in. What size should I get? Website not very informative. I’m 6’1 195 lbs. 36 inch sleeve 42 chest. Any help thanks👍
Hey all, I’ve had a Medium for about a week, and Im thinking I need a Large. Would anyone like to trade?? The sleeves/shoulders are just a tad too short for me
Large looks better on you. Great video.. Subscribed. 😁👍. Is your arm 32/33 or 34/35?
Hahahahha how did I miss this 😂😂😂😂
The larger sizes for the stunt crew and DC, are probably for stunt padding to be worn under the jackets.
Agreed!
can anyone tell me if this jacket stretches out as it breaks in? i purchased this in an xl and fits great everywhere but the chest area and arm pit area seem a little snug. im not sure if i should return for an xxl. sadly im one of those guys that sometimes fall in-between xl and xxl so do want to go through the process of exchanging if i don't have to. any help would be appreciated. thanks
Same boat, had mine a couple of days and I'm thinking the length is short but the arm length would be way to big if I sized up.
I'm curious what size you ended up going with. I'm in between sizes as well and bought a medium. Shoulders and arm holes are too tight, but I feel like the large would be too big and would require alterations.
Worthwhile episode.
Thank you!
Is the jacket comfortable?
@@geoffjohnston1531 Yes it is, but a little stiff right out of the package....it's mean to be broken in by wear....
You best in Large. Honest!
I think the tailored large looks better. But wear the one your Lady likes.( I ment the one You want..choose wisely. )
Lol....will do!
haha!! yes, more intros like this!! Bring back Oddjob! :)
They both look could on you 👍
Hi, I am 5'10 175Lbs with 38/39 chest , should i go for a Small to get the same fit as your medium? suggestions please, thanks
You're about the same build as me, I went for large. Fits great
I went with a small and it fits like how Ryan Reynolds wore it in the Adam Project movie bang on , I tried the medium and i look like I gained a big tummy. Happy with a small and treating it like a leather jacket wearing it open mostly .
@RighteousBrother thanks for commenting. You are the only one I could find in the comments with a direct answer on sizing.
Super bro
Does the medium dig in the armpits a little??
The M fits you better indeed but it probably depends on what you're wearing underneath. If it's thick, the L would probably be better.
OMG This guy.. Even has Aston Martin car :P
David are you considering purchasing the bond 25 watch ?
I am actually!
Hey 10k deposit np....but for me my store says you may get it this year or you may not. They can't guarantee anything but of course it's first come and first serve. I have such a hard time putting out that dough when I don't even know when I can get hands on it. I have the last 300m as well so it's such a tough call.
Definitely, the Large looks way better on you.
Medium looks great David. The large fitted great after tailoring but looked a little long in the torso. Lookin good sir.
Good point on the torso length!
@@TheBondExperience how tall are you?
I prefer the look of un-tailored large more
Corey Sherman I agree. The medium fits like a shirt and the large fits like how a jacket should. Unless people only want to wear a tee underneath, size up.
Large FTW. Medium too tight and the tailored versions sleeves just look off
I hate the random button hole on the jacket
All the gear, no idea.
I think the Medium is too tight for you. The Large looks better on you, even before modifictaions.
The large is too baggy!
The medium is definitely too small on you, it's pulling.
Sí se ve mejor la talla mediana. 🤜🤛
the medium is way too small
Hi boet medium is better on you Jason South Africa
