Strange how all these video's show how "easy" the screw comes out. Try that on a Milwaukee and you'll end up buying a new drill, it's easier than removing the screw.
I've got a Right Angle Drill DEWALT DCD740, it has a 3/8" chuck. I want to replace it with 1/2" one. I cannot remove it - there is no bolt inside. Do you have any idea how to remove the chuck? Maybe just unscrew it? Which way clockwise or counterclockwise? I’m afraid to break it. Here is a photo of the chuck inside: drive.google.com/file/d/1-1lqmPcBhO-fgtZQ1ROEC0iEoMzwLte9/view?usp=sharing
Yeah, I just got the same tool and a replacement chuck to change out and am trying to see if I can get any torx, hex or square wrench to lock into any retainer screw at the bottom of the chuck. I have spent hours trying to see what's down in there and pushing every internal wrench I have down in there to see if I can exert any force to any retainer screw that may be in there. So far, it doesn't look like there is any head that fits any wrench known to man. Or at least me. I went and got a folding torx wrench set in an attempt to get all the way to the bottom to make sure I'm not bottoming out on any choke ring inside the chuck. No joy yet. I might get mad and take a grinder to it and cut it off in pieces.
This is how all "how to" youtube videos should be made. This man deserves a medal.
Now that is how you do a tutorial video!! Thank you!!
Perfect video for this; short, too the point, and well done!! Worked perfectly. Gold Medal!!
Here's a man who knows how to get to the point without a lot of jibber jabber! Thanks!
Best tutorial I have seen in a long time. I appreciate your brevity.
You should do more videos, straight to the point with less than 5 words lol.
Straight to the point , beautiful work
Concise and to the point- thanks.
Good video! No bullshit, just facts!
Best tutorial, just what I needed!
THANK YOU!!! Worked just as you described!
BEST TUTORIAL EVER
Thank you. Great video. Very helpful.
That one has already been prepared. The some of the ones I work on needs to be ground off, then unscrewed. Especially the electric drill’s.

I can't get past the first bit, it's super tight in there, and yes I'm going clockwise.

@@smokytest it looks like in their case it just needs an alan wrench (hex key) and to be turned clockwise
but this is a 2 year old comment so it may not be the best source as they may have revised parts of it since then.
What's with the " Michael Jackson " glove ?...
the jackel that’s funny! That’s the first thing I thought of when I saw this video!
