Still gets a large chunk of my sim racing time. Imagine what it could have become if Reiza had continued to develop this sim instead of moving to the madness engine for AMS2.
The CART mod is great! You should also try: the Supercar V8 (still acknowledged as the best rendition of that car across all sims), Copa trucks (incredibly fun) and the Porsche RSR '70's mod. Basic Brazilian stock car is great too, so are the Copa Petrobras FWD cars (=TCR).
after recently I upgraded some couple of Nvidia and AMD graphics cards, the only graphic cards I keep now is Rx 560, I'm Linux mint user for 10 years, amazingly this AMS1 works very very well on my current Linux mint setup, run even way better than the native of AMS 2, which can play at Linux but sadly doesn't run that smooth ( maybe because of weak madness engine compare to rfactor engine) compare to the AMS 1 which is window game, run Linux mint steam proton experimental compatibility mode, reach low to car high settings at 150fps no lag, or even 60fps play at 3 hours no problem. I don't used wheel and pedals that's the reason why I can run well on Linux mint, AMS 2 just soo broken 💔 I played with joystick at Linux she keep crashing, which Linux crashed at game is extremely rare lol haha, anyway highly recommend AMS 1 of you have medium range potato 🥔🍠 pc, run good on window run great on Linux too. Happy driving
Does anyone have FFB settings for the CSL DD for this awesome title. I haven't played it since I had a Thrustmaster TX. I'd love to give this another go. I always loved the feel of this sim.
Love the physics, AI, sounds, and all that but the real deal breaker for me is the lack of popular tracks and the GT series. I mean you could do that by mods but it does not feel the same when the devs are not behind them.
A good simulator don't need a complex physics engine, just to have a cohesive one. For example, Forza Motorsport ALWAYS had a complex engine since the original release, but were NEVER a good simulator. The isiMotor2 engine is very simple to work and granted that basically ALL simulators that used it to be very cohesive. I still play RACE07 not only because it's content, but how it all works. AMS1 is the same and is incredible how better than AMS2 it STILL is... and not better than only AMS2...
@@KrasnyMajak-he8xh primarily because you have to open certain ports on your internet setup in order for it to work properly. You had to do the same with RF1 from memory, that, and at the time Reiza was only really known as an RF1 mod team, Renato having worked on the 1979 F1 mod.

Installed it today. Incredible underrated game. Nordschleife 😍
Finally someone talks about this sim

@polo199199 I did try the v8 supercars, and was also pleasantly surprised!
Formula Vee and SuperV8 (V8 supecar) are superb. The Formula V12 is insane.
Thank rfactor for this sim

...wait till you try the CART mod for this
@pflynhi I did, and its amazing! That's going to be another vid!

Can it be play also with controller?
@AA-Simon No idea sorry.
Better than AMS 2??
@edwhalley5 the physics and ffb feel better in some of the cars. No vr support though.
@@aubreycolemanracingThanks. I'm pretty sure that VR is available.
That has been the general consensus for a long time.
@aubreycolemanracing The Crew Chief fella made VR work perfectly in AMS1.
Physics wise and sound wise for sure.

This looks fantastic I will say, lol....
I hope it gets steering wheel support, From iRacing it should be..
dead multiplayer is a deal breaker
i wonder why no1 plays it if it is as good as you say
@KrasnyMajak-he8xh for the singleplayer experience.
@@aubreycolemanracing 😂😂😂
@@aubreycolemanracing do you have a theory for why the multiplayer is dead?

No (official/good) Nurburgring + no official GT3 car = 3/4 of online sim racers lost. Unfortunately...
