A video on how to properly train and use an aqua bag. There are a lot of tutorials out there on how to make one yourself, but there's few (none?) proper videos on how to use it. What should you focus on when using an aqua bag?
Love the video just had an orthodox vs southpaw sparring sesh. My great grandma is a southpaw and she had no answers for these combos. I kept my lead foot outside and really gave her the work
As a southpaw the hook is key to taking the outside. Try multiple jabs then your lead hook with or without a pivot to get them to freeze for just a moment as you step outside the lead foot to line up your rear hand. Works equally well for ortho or sp. You can use that pivot hook to line up the rear hand in a more offensive manner. Use a check hook to stuff their combination as they move in. Or use a Russian check hook as you retreat if you have the space. No matter where you want to reposition to, that hook holds them in place long enough to take that position. If they’re bullying you, you can even leave your hand on them and push yourself around, or away from them, to take the angle if your power isn’t enough to buy you a moment.
Very good. I’ve followed your advice about staying with my left foot outside his right foot, and it was a good one. Unfortunately if the southpaw is taller you’d still get a bit in his range, but it’s nothing compared as if his right foot was on the outside.
With your lead foot on the inside, you can work the jab better and pivoting out to your right for a right hook. The southpaw is much more open to liver shots. Feint the right hand with a small step to the left with the lead foot and shift forwards into a left hook.
Never ever disappointed watching ur vids.. thank u so much Tony.. I'm grateful for ur wisdom that u so humbly and willingly share with us.. thank u so much my friend.. much love from Toronto Canada 🤍🙏🏼🥊💪
Pretty early I started sparring with a taller southpaw in my gym, if you have outside foot position, I liked to pull back on his jab, and ride it in, but instead if trying to reach his head which (I'm 6'3, he's something like 6'8) I would slide my right into his liver, then kind of hop turn to my left into a hook to the head. Sometimes you could send a third, either a right cross, right upper cut, or right hook, back to the liver(depends on how you land on that jumping pivot hook thing) before he turns back into you.
My gym is multi sombat sports gym(Boxing kickboxing MMA Jujutsu), So sometimes I have to spar some kick boxers in boxing rule, I found they really like to use southpaw stance when they do boxing sparring. Some kick boxing guys really have good punch skill, Thank you and I think your combos teaching helps for me!
Hey Mr. Jeffries, i was wondering how to close distance safely against a counter puncher? Thank you and as always im snap jabbing that thumbs and im loving the content.
Jab to measure distance and close in to bait the counter punch. Keep your hands up. Throw a straight, then feign a jab or a lead hook and wait for the return, then slip and counter the counter. Lateral movement to the left, lead hook.
Yo Tony ..cool video..i watch ur Videos every morning and then practice it with a friend at work..( did i see a mistake in ur pivot in the first combination,,feet were alined..haha ;) )
im right handed dominant , but i feel more comfortable , in this position , if i go Orthodox , my Left feel shorter , so i like this Fighting style better , my balance is better , moving right is natural for me , but i feel more comfort fighting south Paw.
Tony, if you watched the Canelo Vs Saunders fight I noticed that canelo almost wanted to keep his lead foot inside of Saunders which seemed to reduce the capability of Saunders jab and allowed canelo to counter Saunders back hand alot. Which approach do you think is better?
I am an orthodox fighter ,but when I saw a southpaw fighter in sparing my mind went crazy saying to me WTF .It was very hard to adapt to a new style so before the fight learn a southpath startegy very well.
I tried kick boxing for a month when I was 19 the instructor was telling me do South Pole because of my height he had me spar with a guy in his 40s he hit me in the gut and I was done like a kipper lol 😂 from watching your videos I can see why lol 😆
Because of covid, I haven't really had the chance to join a boxing gym or boxing academy, I do have a punching bag, but im wondering what else I can do to train better for boxing, I'm 17 and still a beginner. ty
Hi Khan you can practice many things.. I got a video boxing combinations - boxing defense with the heavy bag and many more check this video mate ua-cam.com/video/OPuWhgYzvHU/v-deo.html
Sir i have a problem of "push punching". I push the punch instead of snapping.... I am trying to rectify it.... But I can't.... Please please help me sir.... Sir please make a video on "how to rectify push punches"....🙏 Lots of love sir....
Hi Peter were you able to watch this video How to FEINT with Feet in BOXING | 3 Methods - ua-cam.com/video/WHxOy3QXbaM/v-deo.html But I will try to do another video about feints and fakes
I know a Southpaw wants to step to the outside of my foot - and its all they think about - I let them and the instant they do I step in hard on their middle and go hard on them while they are concentrating on doing what they are doing they do not expect me to step in straight.
Don’t get too excited thinking it’ll be this easy…that southpaw will be pretty active in a real fight with that strong hand launching at you while you’re planning your moves.
I used 3 2 3 vs a southpaw in a championship match for 3 rounds with occasional double jab outside foot. 2 combos mixed up won me the match and the tournament. stole the combo from andre ward vs chad dawson.
As a southpaw, should I also have an orthodox toolbox? I find that when I throw lateral threes, I often end up accidentally switching to orthodox before resetting to southpaw with a 2-1. How useful would an orthodox toolbox be for a southpaw?
if you’re boxing, work only in southpaw so you can fully master one style’s footwork. if you’re doing MMA, this is less important but it is still best to only work in one stance.
It can work but it's risky because it can line you up with his left hand, so you CAN jab him as you slide right but make sure you're bladed when you do this

You can also use this combinations against orthodox mate 👍
Lol 🤣
Same here😂
i fight out of the red corner
Yeah nobody seems to realise that everything you can do to a southpaw a southpaw can do to you
The combinations you show are always realistic and really usefull in sparring/fights. Keep it up

The southpaw is much more open to liver shots.
Feint the right hand with a small step to the left with the lead foot and shift forwards into a left hook.
Learning how some one will attack me as a southpaw fighter. It’s essential to learn all aspects of the game so complicated and beautiful.
This really helps for people that are trying to get better
He is a Legend
Glad you enjoyed it mate

I spare a big southpaw tomorrow thanks for the tips Tony!
Did you do good?
@@whiteboijack3970 definitely… foot position is 🔑
Jab Jan body put your head off the line on the body shot and it sets you up for goucho or left hook depending on how good you movement is
But the key is to have your lead foot outside of your opponents before you exchange
Alternate reality
Some Southpaw watching a "How to defeat a orthodox boxer" video.
When are you going to do the video on sparring
One thing I train to do as a lefty and an orthodox could try is to step under a jab, uppercut them pivot hook.
Keep it up, man!
make a video about the right hook. you did a great video on the left hook.
Please make a video on fault punches 🙏
Have ya got any tips fighting a tall southpaw thanks

Make more videos of orthodox vs southpaw im always up against southpaw fights and the give me a hard time.
SouthpAws lead hand is they right hand which means moving to.the left is outside of the6powrr hand which is the left hand
Tony I'm a kickboxer, but is it normal for me to be more planted when I weigh 90kg? Or should I be always on my toes.
I'm a southpaw:) now i know where to be
I am an orthodox fighter ,but when I saw a southpaw fighter in sparing my mind went crazy saying to me WTF .It was very hard to adapt to a new style so before the fight learn a southpath startegy very well.

Every southpaw in here like "Hey man we need helpful videos too!"
What about if they are southpaw but their lead right hand is their power hand?
Does that change anything?
Im southpaw and i can use that techniques too against the orthodox
Always pull your tracksuit bottoms up to knees when boxing a southpaw
