You said you didn’t have a replacement, but it comes with an extra plug in every filter kit. My last countryman had a stripped to and it is much more convenient to drain. It’s plastic so just don’t over tighten.
@@TonyKoppendrayer I meant about the part that the plug screws into. (The filter housing) The first time I changed the oil on my car, the one that was installed in the housing was SUPER tight and I didn’t want to chance it trying to break it free. Next time I do the change I plan on replacing the plastic housing. (Possibly overkill, but it is a cheap enough insurance policy.) Thanks for watching and for the opportunity for clarification!
