Thanks a lot ,
great video.
how much time does it take to do the whole process ? i guess more than 8 minutes.
any estimations ?
Thanks
And do not forget to clean up the oilpan, otherwise you kill the whole engine due to belt crumples in the oilpump.
Thank you very for your informative video. Can all these steps can be taken by using appropriate tools, without taking out the whole engine from the car?
I am worried if some of the components from the wheel side must be removed to access some side parts such as tensioner and idler.
Also, will this steps identical also for non-turbo model of Puretech 1.2 such as one that has been used in latest Opel Corsa?
Thank you once again for your video.
Hello,
Thank you for your comment.
These steps do not require any dismantling of the motor. The change can be made using the appropriate tools.
For the non-turbo model, the steps are also identical, only the tools and settings are different.
We remain at your disposal.
Kind regards,
The NTN team
@@snrautomotiveaftermarket-n4861 Thank you very much for your kind reply! I guess maybe it would be better idea to get another car without belt-in-oil system such as Hyundai i20... but I got your point! Thank you for your informative video once again.
Best regards
How do i know which engine i have withour removing valve cover. What years had the 6.2?
Look at the shape of the valve cover, there's a obvioes difference righ near the oil cap. The 6.2 is quite a bit bulkier. I have a late 2018 2008 and it's 6.3. Look at minute 1:37 vs 2:16. Hope it helps. Good luck
About to have mine done as per the 6 year service schedule. I’m being told the water pump doesn’t need to be replaced at the same time as the wet belt but I was under the impression that the WP should always be changed alongside the belt. Is this correct? Thanks
Give me a Ford SOHC engine any day! Basic tools and the belt replaced in about 45 minutes! I'm dreading my Peugeot needing a new belt!
would be nice to inform that parts of the old belt is most possible stuck in the pick up strainer in the sump ... great video though
That is just the normal PSA belt change. Nothing more… just tell it your workshop. Psa would not pay for the work to clean everything up.
Hello, thank you for your comment. We will take note of your feedback.
Best regards,
The NTN team
have there been any improvements with the new belts that peugeot installed in 2021 and then 2023? or they give enormous risks and problems...
essentially this problem of excessive early wear of the belt only concerns those in the 2012-2020 period or also those after?
Hello,
Thank you for your interest in our video.
In fact, the problem remains the same despite the years. The problem is not the structure of the belt, but the devastating effect of the degradation of the oil by the fuel that attacks the belt.
We remain at your disposal.
Sincerely,
The NTN team
hey! Its possible to do a 6.3 with 6.2 tools??
Hello, yes, but this is not recommended by the manufacturer.
The NTN team
great video, well explained, could you share the torque for each bolt? thanks
Hello,

@@snrautomotiveaftermarket-n4861Hello, thank you for the video and the support. Obviously the link for the technical infos / torque infos is not working. Can you post the correct link, please. Thanks in advance.
Did they replaced the belt with a chain
Hello,
Thank you for your interest in our video.
The belt is indeed replaced by a belt.
A motor with a belt always remains a motor with a belt, it cannot be changed with a chain.
Don't hesitate to contact us if you need further information.
Have a nice day!
@@snrautomotiveaftermarket-n4861 I mean the newer models
@@x.kasiouris5503 The exception is indeed on hybrid engines and the Opel Mokka !

So not in the new 208 with 100 petrol?
Good day everyone, I work at Citroen, in short - the engine is fantastic. Go to service every 10000 miles, oil from 2 months 2024 is 5w30, and belts are changed at 82.83 atmospheres at 80000 miles, and turbo 110.130 at 60000 miles, we learned that cars that drive longer distances wear a belt less - means the engine is fantastic. Greeting
It is a lawsuit level of a bad engine, don't try and lie to us. It is a CRAP of an engine and PSA policy. WHY the phuck just not using a proven chain instead of this idiocy?
Hi how long did it take you good video
Just put a new belt on my car, thnx to this video was a big help.
Did without timing tools but i do not recommend it.
It was good that i marked it very well and used a piece of timing tool from the old 2008 version.
Only 2 things were not easy. The under screw from vacuümpomp and the bolt from crank .that one was stuck like hell
Hello @leukste4, we are delighted that the video was able to help you. 😊
SAY HELLO TO MY LITLE FREND ... the chain 🔥🔥🔥😂😂😂
Great video, could you kindly list the parts numbers required please
Hello,

What are the covers called over the cam bolts?mine seem to be weaping oil
Hello,
Thank you for your interest in our video.
In this case you need to change the O-rings.
We look forward to hearing from you,
Best regards,
The NTN team
why are you using the tool through the filler cap
Because that’s where that tool goes and it’s the only place to measure the belt without removing everything 💁🏼

A wet belt????!!!! Who comes up with this stuff. Good job replacing the belt.
Hello, the usual procedure for this type of operation is to wet the belt to make it easier to install.
We'll be happy to answer any questions you may have. ☺️
do you have oe number of tool
thanks
Have they introduced a chain;
because the belt breaks up
Hi! I have a new Opel Mokka 2021 (New Mokka) with an engine EB2ADTD. I have a strange vibration in the cabin. The problem can be heard in this video (best from 8 sec): ua-cam.com/users/shortsXROtr_3lFKM I have a suspicion that this has something to do with the timing belt or the accessory belt. When I turn off the engine, the vibration intensifies for 1-2 seconds and then stops. I think so because one of the Mokka owner's had a similar problem on a similar car (similar engine) and after replacing the belt all the sounds disappeared. My problem gets worse if I turn off the air conditioning (climate). If I turn it on, the sound is much quieter or there is no sound at all. The mileage is only 10,000 km and the car is 3 years old. Could this sound be the cause of problems with the timing belt, othe belt or rollers?
Hello @AnOn-hh8tu
Thank you for your message.
We advise you to contact your Opel garage as long as your vehicle is under warranty.
This is indeed not normal.
