Thank you Ranjit for taking the time to do a thorough test of the features available in the devices. I had a few a ideas I was hoping you could take a look at. Price - I think the price for Pixel and Pixel pros should be fixed at 55k and 85k-90k (if Pro has a better ultra wide lens and the normal one has the same capabilities as the pro for the main sensor. It's a phone marketed as a camera phone with amazing AI. It should come with such options in that case). At least so long we consider $1k a flagship in US. I understand the need to increase the price for taxes and such from USD to INR. But we simply do not have that kind of income here to be able to comfortably buy a phone for >1L. Much less needs to be said about phones costing 1.6L. Heating - Could you please check if it heats up while the magic editor is being used? (I know you mentioned it does). But what I mean to test is, how long does it take for the phone the turn off the gallery app? I saw some initial user reviews on flipkart saying, it is shutting down the gallery app after some editing. But "Some editing" is very subjective. Any number would be really helpful. Usecase - Stretching the above mentioned point a little further, could you check the heating issue if the phone is being used as a a primary recording device in a sunny day outside? The pixel 7s would shut down video after about 9 minutes. I think, a flagship phone in 2023, should at least be capable of constant camera usage in outdoors for at least 30 minutes without severe overheating. (Is that a decent expectation to have? I really dunno😅 If you could answer that would be great.). Benchmarks are never really that practical in day to day usage. As long as the phone can be used for a day without the need of constant battery top off throughout and the phone shutting down after 15 minutes being used as a camera. But Google doesn't exactly provide a reliable experience. Starting from them going back on their promises before to the overheating of the pixels so far after around 3 months. What do you think? Would love some clarity on these doubts I have.
Don't agree with the price part. What apple has been doing this for years in India even after manufacturing is done in India they still loot Indians and Indians don't mind cause wow apple and now they have problem with Google pricing which isn't even as high as iphones? I think 8pro is definitely overpriced but 8 pricing is good at 75k. Maybe drop to 70k but 75k for pixel 8 with 7 years updates is a good deal in India.
@@yellowflash511 I am not gonna justify the price of a phone based on what some other ridiculous pricing is employed by another company. In fact, I did berate the pricing of 1.6L in my comment. My argument is this, the price of $1k is a flagship Category. And in US the avg salary is $50k/year. Now let's take a look at Indian ratio. According to the economic times as of May 26th 2022, if you earn 3L per annum you already at top 10% earners in India. Even if I only count that percentage (which is giving the whole ratio of earning to prices a HUGE discount) even then, the US ratio is 50:1 for earning to price of a flagship. In India, you do the math. It will come to a much lower price than what I quoted. And I am not even arguing that this should indeed be the price for a fair deal. All I am saying is, here we consider 50k to be a premium price and 80k is simply flagship. That should be employed at the very least.
Go for the iPhones They nowadays make more sense and value for money in their respective price for example, play bgmi on 12 for 2 hours, it won't throttle because how good things are optimised (even tho benchmarks are the same as SD870's) but on pixel, it gets throttled to about 48% after 20-30 mins of heavy use meaning you're throttled to snapdragon 845-55 is performance) and 12 costs 35k and pixel 8 costs 65k during the sale. (50% cheaper yet comparable cameras, Better video quality, well optimised UI and apps and better performance with similar-ish battery performance. Imagine when you go for the 15 which competes with the price of pixel with way-waaayyyy better performance, battery backup, video quality, again comparable pictures and after a year when resident evil isn't exclusive to the pro. Pixel is good if they were selling it for 45k-50k. (Think, apart from the AI thing, hardware wise this phone performs worse than the 30-35k iqoo and poco phones and they're charging another 40k for the software and AI things??? Which I don't find fair, so 30k for hardware and 15k for software and AI magic which, iqoo and poco phones don't have)
Isn't any youtuber going to talk about the horrible after sales service that google provides in India? Are the additional features provided in the pro model (software wise worth it), will they be enabled in base model. As you mentioned the pricing is bit high in India so which is the ideal to buy the Pixel.
As always GeekyRanjit are the best. I've watched many reviews of pixel8, but was unable to recognize the differences of features between pixel 8 & 8 pro, but he has cleared all the clouds. 👍
With normal use on WiFi I can get about 8 hours of screen on time but it is with the Pixel pro 8. But this is about emails/weather app/facebook/twitter/instagram/whatsapp/looking something up/updating apps/banking app/football app. So normal use, not heavy use.
I'm waiting for an in depth review but the heating issue not being solved + this pricing is quite bad. As usual this is a good phone for next BBD sale.
@GeekyRanjit, I was waiting for review before buy, is it sensible to buy pixel 8 pro at 89k inr in Japan it comes with pixel watch 2 for free in Offers Please confirm

It's the price hike in India that concerns me? It it's available at Rs. 89K for the Pixel 8 Pro without a Bank Discount and available at 10% off on credit Card, ie. Rs. 99K - 9.9K, I'd go for it!! But it's not worth it considering there's only a handful of Pixel After-Sales Service in my region. So, I'd say if they already have enough after-sales service like Samsung.. I'd still go for the Pixel 8 Pro...

I remember Ranjit recommending the Pixel 7 series after reviewing it. 7 series didn't have those heating issues then. Real heating issue starts in summer! Every other youtuber called it a BAD smartphone later. We really need to wait till summer arrives here in India and then think it as a buying option.
Pricing is really bad on this one. And a buyer will keep waiting for BBD sales. Flipkart and Google are jointly responsible for it.
3rdly why only FLIPKART ??? It's become a monopoly game there..☹️
it's the case with every smartphone bro. if your ambient temperature is 40*+ degree you can't expect the phone to run below 40*, i am planning to switch city 😂😂 after buying this.
I have OP 10 PFO
should i upgrade to pixel 8 or S22 ultra ?? 🤔🤔 plz help
Awesome straight forward feedback to Google!!!👍 Liked it keep it up.. Google don't do cheap marketing like this
sir i m heavy media consumer and i was wondering how will it do in terms of battery..if possible do lil testing and let us know how it does for media consumers. love your honesty
Really love the way you actually test the features. Commendable and that's what makes your videos stand out from other UA-camrs. And obviously, the no non sense and true reviews.
Hi Ranjit, I always rely upon your reviews whenever I have to make a tech call; please do testify Pixel 8 pro in terms of software smoothness in terms of multi-tasking especially with gesture navigation.
I haven't watch any review just waiting for your video. I'm interested in buying this phone.
Hello sir, Is there any chance Google will sell other storage variants of Pixel 8 pro in India in the future or should I import from other country?
Agree on pricing being too high.. Only thing holding me back..Even $100 Cheaper would make a big difference in my opinion
Thanks Ranjit for the genuine review
Kuch awaited review of the year
Hey Ranjit
Can you make a video about how one can manage their battery so that the battery can be used for its longest life.
I know many of people and many many youtubers posted that kind of videos but I would like to see a brief video about battery care of mobile and laptop devices...
Thank you in advance😊
Better ask him twitter rather than here because he is not active in yt
sir u always make best reviews on market..could you make iphone 15 review i have been waiting for it for long time..
Hi Ranjit,
Was waiting for your first impression on the Pixel 8. For your upcoming video want to know which is the best buy (in India) the Pixel 8 vs the Pixel 8 pro. Are the additional features provided in the pro model (software wise worth it), will they be enabled in base model. As you mentioned the pricing is bit high in India so which is the ideal to buy the Pixel.
Plz also share Pixel 8 pro review😊. I am planning to buy Pixel 8 pro from Kuwait. Will I face any issue with respect to connectivity?
As always GeekyRanjit are the best. I've watched many reviews of pixel8, but was unable to recognize the differences of features between pixel 8 & 8 pro, but he has cleared all the clouds. 👍
maybe the adaptive charge in the phone is on by default, so that could be the reason for charging slow after 90%
With normal use on WiFi I can get about 8 hours of screen on time but it is with the Pixel pro 8. But this is about emails/weather app/facebook/twitter/instagram/whatsapp/looking something up/updating apps/banking app/football app. So normal use, not heavy use.
Finally, finally, finally! The wait is over! I have been eagerly waiting for your review of Pixel 8 ❤ Thank you so much 🙏🏽
It will intersting to see how all AI work in long term in Pixel 8 with only 8gb Ram.
And heat management in Indian weather conditions in summers
Miss your terrace garden camera samples
Hi ranjit
What your thought about samsung s23fe ?
Are u covering it or not ?
Sir what about iPhone 15 ? Really looking forward to your review.
I already have mentioned earlier that I am not covering it.
Apple in India = useless
I got Pixel 8 256Gb at 35k in Flipkart Big Billion Sale . I feel it's kind of worthy
I'm waiting for an in depth review but the heating issue not being solved + this pricing is quite bad. As usual this is a good phone for next BBD sale.
Pixel 8 aur Oppo Reno 10 Pro+ me se kon sa lena best hai?
@GeekyRanjit, I was waiting for review before buy, is it sensible to buy pixel 8 pro at 89k inr in Japan it comes with pixel watch 2 for free in Offers
Please confirm
Thank you so much for reviewing the regular eight nobody's doing that all the reviewers look at the pro but a lot of us don't want to carry a tablet in our pocket..
Should I buy I phone 15 or pixel 8 ..I need for. Performance and camera
In 🇮🇳, many people purchase smartphones for around Rs 15,000.
Generally around Rs 15,000 Android smartphone users, use their phones for 2 to 3 years. Then it becomes outdated.
* Rs 15,000 smartphones generally don't get Android updates after 2 years.
Thank you for this Video 😊
Can this phone shoot 4k 60 fps video in sunlight? As other pixel phones can't due to overheating
Hi sir! Can you please help me in choosing between Google pixel 8 and iphone 15 plus?
Which is the best buy?
Pls help
Pixel 8
Please review about network connectivity in depth. Some reviewers have told it keeps switching from 5g to 4g.
Should i buy pixel 7 pro or the new base pixel 8 variant?
If both pixel 8 and 7 pro at same price which would be a better choice, please suggest......
I like the glassy🤓 and geeky Ranjith too ❤
What is up with the S23 FE? Why is no one reviewing it? Is there an embargo still in place?
Really appreciate Sir for mentioning the haptics
Hey Ranjit sir , pixel 7 pro costs less than base pixel 8 which one would you suggest
Hi Ranjit....When can we expect the video of 8 pro along with its in-depth review?
The only person i trust while buying a new phone..Other guys like technical guru ji and all are just behind money with fake reviews
If u have friends in abroad them to buy it for you. Its the only solution
Does this have call screen in India?
Bhai screen quality me difference hai kya 8 pro and 8 me ?
Ya same hi hai ?
Does Call screening feature work in India? And does it understand our local languages?
@Geekyranjit sir, in reviews i generally see 5 to 6 hrs of SOT on average for all phones. I am using S21 Ultra for the past 2.7 yrs, i have never got SOT more than 3 hrs. I am just an average user where i watch videos of 1 hr daily max. Have conplained to both jio and samsung but they just blames on each other but no proper response. Can u explain why this happens
Sir can you conpare pixel 7 with pixel 8 what are the improvements and downgrades.
literally there is nothing.
I had Pixel 2xl and I moved to IPhone and using IPhone 13 now. Is it worth moving to Pixel 8. Pixel 8 pro seems to be expensive.
Hello Sir! Would you be reviewing Iphone 15 ? Have been waiting since a long time now.
He is the only indian reviewer who is serious about his work.. he deserves to be on the top
Yo ranjit which charger you used to charge that pixel 8 which was fully charged within 1.23 hours, I think it's good enough.
is there connectivity issue? like 5G etc
Hey Ranjit
I was eyeing Airtel Black.
Are you using it ? If yes than how is your experience so far. Also I have my Jio postpaid connection with my Mum and dad added into the family pool so is it really wise to upgrade from Airtel prepaid to postpaid?
I have bought black for my parents. It's good.
Which Garmin watch is that. Would love to have a review of it
Hi Ranjit, Why you are not reviewing iPhone 15? Any specific reason!
There's issue with TENSOR Soc heating, battery draining & performance degradation over time
PLEASE ELABORATE ON THESE IN YOUR INDEPTH REVIEW
BESIDES HAVING eSIM FOR THE 2nd SLOT MAYBE INCONVENIENT
PLEASE ALSO MAKE A DETAILED COMPARATIVE VIDEO BETWEEN PIXEL 8 & SAMSUNG GALAXY S 23
Hey ! can you click a 50mp pic with pixel 8 is there a pro mode on this as well ?
When I am considering to buy a new phone the only guy I trust on is Ranjit Sir
Something kept on moving in the back Sir - Was a little distracting in the video. Additional felt that the brightness was a little low during the video.
Ranjit had in fact recommended the pixel 7. He was very impressed with the phone in his review. You can check the video. I don't know why he's telling like this now!
I would prefer you over MKBHD
With regular use, my 4+ year old Redmi K20 Pro still gets around 4-5hrs of screen on time.
Mine too.....3-yr old....gives me 7 hrs of UA-cam.
