I just got my first ever pixel yesterday and after watching your video I feel much more confident in using it. Really informative, Thank you.
Did you switch over from another Android device or from iPhone?
I switched from IPhone 14 pro max and don't miss it at all, Love my pixel ❤
Do not disable the Pixel tips app until you comfortable using the Pixel phone and apps, it will give new users tips and default programs like messages will recommend new features to enable as you use them more.
I went from the pixel 6 pro to the 8 pro. And I'm extremely satisfied. Great video.
This has been SO helpful. I have been an iPhone user for over a decade and have now moved to the Pixel 8 Pro. This has helped me get to grips with how to get best use out of a brand new device and OS. I have certainly hit the subscribe button as I am now keen to delve further into what this beast of a phone can do. Thank you WhatGear!
Man this video came in handy. Best Pixel 8 Pro video from all of the videos I've seen. This has been the most useful. Thanks!
As a Pixel 3 user upgrading to the Pixel 8 Pro this video was extremely helpful to get to know a lot of the features that I never had access to or just didn't know about. Thanks! I'm probably using about half of them already.
Just got my phone and was so glad I found your page. It helped me so much to make the phone work better for me.
Great Video, thank you! I'm happy to have this handy flashlight settings. The lockscreen button or the quick-tap Option is great
THE LINK SHARE THING IS SO GOOD. IT'S EXACTLY WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR. OH MY GOD. Its one of the only things i didn't know and its byfar the most useful
There's an accessibility setting to also activate Google Assistant by swiping from the bottom left or right corner! I thought I lost that feature by switching from my s22 ultra and was thrilled to find it!
Great Video! This is my first experience to Pixel with a 8Pro.
Coming from a 5year old Oppo Reno i am loving the discovery of this device. Thanks again!
I absolutely loved this video! Extremely helpful indeed thank you
Great video mate! Well done!
very useful stuff, I didn't use all of them but a few of them. Thank you
Awesome tips, got this arriving tomorrow and can’t wait to start unpacking some these cool features, that wallpaper is brilliant too 👍
I like how you took your time to make us enlightened about all these. Thank You. 😊
Thanks man! Yeh this one kept me up to 3am editing
@@WhatGear Please help me in my Google Pro, the pick a better shot option does not appear under the photo. How should I activate it? I have it set to 12 mpx. The magic editor option does not work either. When I want to turn it on, I get a message to use the magic editor, create a backup copy of the photo, but at the bottom right it says save a copy, but it is an inactive button. Any suggestions?
Thanks so much for this. Saved me a lot of time
Just bought this phone 3 days ago and I'm loving it! Best phones I've ever owned hands down.
super informative video. thanks!
The first line of your video is the type of validation I needed
Thanks for those tips and tricks there were a few I didn't know. Well done Video! 👍👍👍
One correction for "Bonus Tip #3": the 'Flip to Shh' option actually enables Do Not Disturb as long as the phone is flipped, silencing all notifications, not just the current call. By default, the phone will silence current calls when you flip it over WITHOUT enabling that option. I prefer this behavior over silencing all notifications in DND.
This is good for sleeping / taking a nap and when you're at the library!
Excellent tips. Thanks!
GREAT INFO!!!!! Can hardly wait for your video with tips and tricks for the CAMERA!!!
Thank you so much for this very helpful video!!! 👍🏻😃👍🏻
Just got my Pixel 8 Pro today! This video was clutch! Thanks a Bunch!
I have this video saved for when I finally receive mine in the mail. Made the switch to #TeamPixel after 13 years of being an Apple 🐑. This along with your Pixel 7 Pro tutorial, have been the best!
Thanks for the tips!
Thank you!!! It helped me a lot.
I think one that is better than remove animation, is go to dev settings, then turn animation speeds down to 0.5, it makes the phone feel WAY snappier and doesn't look horrible with no animations.
I came to say this same thing, out of the box the pixel feels so sluggish and this tip is amazing.
@@shaunmadden545 Where is it in Developer mode?
where is dev settings?

Really useful content, thank you. Just got my new phone today so this has helped massively....
Not sure if I've ever seen a better device introductory video. Liked, definitely subscribed.
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you. You sped up my learning curve on how to set up my newly acquired Pixel 8 Pro. I am looking forward to your video on the camera capability tips and tricks.
Great video, I literally joined your channel after the first tip, that I didn't see anywhere else 👍
Excellent video.
Thank you. 😊.
Watched your video before and after I got the pixel. Thanks for your help I love this phone now!😊
Great list. Thanks
Thank you for your point of view. I think there will be some minor changes coming into it before 10.2 hits live servers.
But we won’t be that strong as the actual version.
Excellent. Very helpful. Thanks
Great video thanks for the tipa 👍
Really helpful, Thanks
Thank you for that, it was very helpful
This is a very well made video, thank you.
Most valuable tip for me that I found on Reddit was to update Google Play Services and Security, reset Device Health Services and Bluetooth and WiFi when transferring from an old phone. Only after that battery life is acceptable, before that I had (for 2 weeks) a horrendous overheating problem and 1 1/2 h screen time max per battery charge that lasted roughly 12 hours.
Thanks !i never owned a Pixel before and now I learned a lot 👍🏼
Will be a first time pixel soon and your video is so helpful.... like how you explain it all clearly and proper love sound of your voice ..it's giving me friendly vibes 😊
I have a tip. If you're like me and you can't stand the gestures for navigating, like swipe left to go back, you can re-enable to old school 3 buttons at the bottom again! Just go to Settings, system, navigation mode. Then choose 3-button navigation. And you can even go into that setting and turn on hold home button to activate Assistant, so you can change the power button back to the power button if you want.
There was at one time, I think for the Pixel 2XL and maybe up to the 4XL, a third option. It was a fantastic combination of two buttons and a few simple swipe gestures. IDK why Google won't give us that third option again?
The wipe left and right to navigate is the best thing Google did
@@QueSwazy i completely agree. It took a couple hours to get used to the gesture controls, but I'd never go back.
Why would anyone ever want to Not use swipe gesture and rather have like 15% of their screen constantly taken by buttons you literally don't need
@@TECHNIKMM Because the swipes never work the first time for me. ESPECIALLY the swipe up to change apps which is almost the same gesture to open app drawer. Having a dedicated button makes it so much easier to navigate! It's a 6.7 inch screen, so they don't take up much room. Also they can become transparent, and they disappear if something is in full screen.
Nice tips/organization--I'm a subscriber now!
I'm still waiting for that camera tips video. Great video by the way!
Nice, everything i was looking for in one video!
Glad I could help!
Amazing information. Thank you!
This is my first Google Pixel phone and this video was excellent and the first one I have watched. Thankyou.
Great Video! Thank you
Great Content , Thank you.🙏
Thanks for this elaborate video. I really appreciate it, especially because I’m making the switch from iOS to android with the Pixel 8 pro and this is immensely helpful. 🎊🎊
You're very welcome!
Welcome! I love my pixel. There is no way I would get an iPhone. Good choice! You can install a completely different OS on this phone.
Hi watching from North east England....New to your channel, subbed mate, as this is the best most indepth video on the features and tips for the pixel 8! I've saved to watch later as I'm picking up this phone tomorrow and will watch on depth for the hours and hours of messing around with my new phone!
Great video mate 👊👌
This video is SO helpful! Liked! Thank you for these awesome tips and tricks and super clear tutorials!
Thank you so much 😊😊
For the extended unlock settings, I recommend choosing your car's Bluetooth as it makes you spend less time interacting with your phone and if someone else needs to use it for any reason they can without asking for your password and distracting you each time.
Thanks for all this helpful information
Great video very detailed and I used most of your advice- can you please help with link for screensaver - many thanks
That helps me alot. Ty from Germany
Thanks so much 🙏
Great list. There were several on here that even I overlooked and I've been a Pixel user since the first generation model!
What a video and what a phone! Not had the 8 pro long but still learning new tips and tricks , thank you
Best video about tips and features. Thanks.
I have had my Pixel 8 Pro for about two weeks now and I love it! I have read many reviews and watched hundreds of UA-cam videos about the phone before buying it. I previously owned the Pixel 3 XL, 4 XL, and 6 Pro. I have always enjoyed the Pixel experience even though the phones always had issues. This phone is probably the best Pixel phone and far exceeds the previous phones. I have not experienced some of the issues that other have mentioned such as over heating, lagging while scrolling, connectivity issues, apps shutting down, or any other issues. My experience as of now has been nothing but positive. Before this phone I had the Samsung S23 Ultra and that was a good phone but I am not a fan of Samsungs version of Android. I primarily use my Pixel for phone calls, a lot of texting, media consumption, and for social media, so for me this phone does everything I need it to do just fine. I really do not play games on my phone, so that is a non-issue for me. I do take pictures but I am not professional photographer so in my opinion picture quality can be subjective at times. So for me overall the Pixel 8 Pro is a much more enjoyable experience and I have always enjoyed what Pixels have had to offer.
Thank you!
New sub...great video
That was a huge help! Made me set up my new phone in under an hour with everything exactly how I like it!
Very helpful
Just got my pixel 8 over the weekend and loving it! I loved that wolverine wallpaper!! Would love it if you could send me the link for it.
You video was also really good. I enjoyed all the tips as a newbie to team green.
Great video, thanks!
I actually use the app-pinning feature a lot when I'm drawing something and don't want to unlock my screen every time to see the template
Thank you, my friend. Really cool and useful video!
Glad you liked it
I just got my pixel 8 pro yesterday and I'm sooo happy
This was extremely helpful
That's good to hear 😊
Thanks mate
Good video man
This is so useful. This is my first pixel, so there's a lot I did not know about. Thanks!
wow, thanks mate, your video Tips are awesome!
Really glad you like them
Splendid tips. Big thanks!
My pleasure!
Thank s for your great video, it's really helpful..I watched this video from Germany
,👍📸
Picking up my Pixal 8 Pro today... So I appreciate this video
Just got my 8 Pro and the free Pixel 2 LTE last Friday.
Great vid for tips, thanks.
Question, where did you get the cool clock that is on the left side of your screen?
Thanks for the video. How did you get that big analogue clock there and the settings next to it? Looks cool and convenient.
Very helpful ... Thanks
Glad it was helpful!
Really learned a lot. I've had it around 3-4 months, and I was getting so frustrated with how it was not like my previous Samsung 20, now I feel I know my way around it soooo much better! Thank you for the clarity of your instructions (albeit a bit fast, but thankfully there's a feature for pause or replay...) I loved the double tap for flashlight, the ways to customize and to understand the security . My personal fav is putting the previous and home buttons on the bottom of the screen!
Hi. Thank you so much for this video!
How did you get the settings app on your homescreen? I can only find my settings by holding down to add a widget and then adding a specific section of settings to my homescreen.
From Canada here! Great video also really like your clock on main page where would I find it please?🎉🎉
Great job on your video mate! Thank goodness I came across your video. Having using Samsung since the Galaxy S10, I recently replaced my Galaxy S21 U for this phone and although I love this P8 Pro, I right away I missed all the Samsung whistles and bells and your video helped a lot finding similar handy features compatible to my old GS21U. 1 thing I miss here on this phone is the possibility to free up RAM. Is this possible on the stock P 8 Pro?
Switched from an S20 to a pixel 8 and at first I felt like I'd made the wrong decision but slowly getting used to the pixel
"Truly unique wallpaper" select from 7 (SEVEN) options. Very unique indeed (and yes I realise I can then further customise but only using words suggested by Google). If it could generate based on words I could input, then yes, a unique wallpaper.
Beautiful video mate and very helpful. My Google 5A died the other day so I’m sitting here with my new Pixel 8 Pro going through your setting as I watch on the computer. Well done, waiting for your camera tips now. 👍🇦🇺
You know I have never had any problems with my 5a that alot of people have. But I don't use as much as my S22 U either so that is probably why it is still running fine. However, I know the motherboard thing is coming so I ordered a Pixel 8 Pro with the case for my xmas present.
Thanks!
Wow! thanks so much 😃
Thank you
Most excellent video
Verry useful thnx from the Netherlands
Great video cheers bud can't believe most of settings are on low as standard.
Thanks for this very useful video ! It's full of tips & tricks every Pixel user should watch at ! François
Merci ! I really appreciate it

Thanks
Thanks for these tips . It’s really useful for new pixel users
My pleasure 😊
I just ordered the Obsidian Pro with the clear magsafe D-brand case
