In jail we had 1 pair or these wahl trimmer type clippers,no clips just comb and we would loosen up the top screws just a little, so we would press down on the clippers witch would like zero gap them. So we use it in that mode to do edge ups, designs, parts, but then to make the next guideline we would pop the blade back out with our thumbs kinda like moving the lever open, and we would rake it after the 2nd guideline and it would be like a #1, then use the comb pressed against the clippers like a #2 and the rest was skill using a pick over clipper cuz the combs were to small. But man I did some haircuts in jail where the C.O.s all wanted haircuts by me. But couldnt
Great vid. If hit follow “ShapeCuts” you’ll notice this is the method he uses when he blends(free hand) with NO Guards. I’m sure you’ve seen his vids, but if you haven’t, please check him out.
Don’t agree with you on this one, bro. “Raking” the hair in the upward motion is a good way to create super harsh lines and bald spots in the blend. You can see them in the end result. This could also be uncomfortable to the client as well, especially if you’re using those Andis magnetic guards with the single magnet on them, lol. I do think using the corner of the blade (guard or no guard) while blending is a great tip, though. Not a lot of beginners know this.👍
as abarber i wonder why people always show the same trick.. finally avideo im satisfied of..iwould post the same if i have a video..removing first bold is the main step ithink the rest there are many ways like this...even with scissor overcomb clipper overcomb..even with no guard. but it need technique n skill.ignored my poor english

SMECK smash tha legend fades only using this raking method
In reality if you think that then it’s because you aren’t doing it right. It’s a method that some of the most advanced barbers use.
I agree there are lines at the end of the finished cut that aren't blended out
