Yessir ! I'm a 16 year old beginner barber from the bay area . You've really made a big impact on my barber journey even tho im still learning . You're the reason why I bought my clippers too so thank you 🙏
Yessir! My background is purely limited to doing my own hair over the lockdown period here in the U.K., and I came across a video of yours when searching for advice. I have no reason or inclination to develop beyond that, but I have subscribed to your channel because your videos are so compelling and the journey is fascinating to me. Thank you for doing these and I wish you all the success in the World. 👏🏻
Big ups bro! I'm from the UK too but started to trim myself when I moved to the south of Spain and couldn't find a barber that could cut black hair. I feel exactly the same as you do about cutting and this channel. You're about to save yourself some hella Ps bro, keep it up!
People don't understand what it means to become a student of a craft. You sir are a student of the craft. It is evident in your approach and how you convey the nuances of barbering hair. I am not sure if you have, but also speak towards scalp care. Many people think dandruff is just dandruff. That is not true at all. There are conditions that where the skin on the scalp reproduces or sheds more frequent than others causing crazy flaking (not dandruff).
I have seen a few barbers on youtube but never seen any that talk about the fundamentals in the tools that companies sell and users that choose the tools they do, but your spot on correct, as a DIY barber for years I grew up using scissors, razor blades and combs, allot has changed over the decades with newer tools that makes the work flow easier but man I like how much knowledge you got in this business. allot of beginners can learn the real ropes here. Thanks for touching on those subjects.
Yessir. I don't even cut hair but I am inspired by your drive in your barber journey. Learning a lot of interesting things about the barbering world through your channel. Thanks for sharing part of your life with us. Wish you the best.
Subscribed off of the time you spend on your editing ALONE. Great video quality, audio, angles, and i was easily engaged. As a person who creates UA-cam videos and cuts hair too I gotta appreciate that & show love💯
Hello Kev I’m a newly licensed Barber in Seattle and I am currently in the process of taking over a small 3 chair shop don’t know if I’m crazy or not but we’ll see. I have a quick question for you when you were preparing your steam towels was that Osage Rub that you were also putting in there?
Bro I was the same about that a.m p.m thing. But here is something to help you out in the future. "A" is at the beginning of the alphabets. Which in turn is the beginning of the day. So "A".m is the morning you feel me?
I like that way of remembering it, that's how I'm gonna teach my kids until untill they're ready for a 24h clock which is what I use to avoid any confusion.
Hey I'm learning how to cut mine and my family's hair bc of covid and I'm just wondering how u deal with all the hair. Cz that shit gets everywhere. Do u get used to it or is there ways to help it not get on ur clothes and everything?
Joshua Noguez He was a smock or if you don’t have a smock use an apron just make sure you wash it before putting it back in the draw. You wouldn’t want your going into the food.
Yessir! Loving the vlogs and unscripted discussions. It looks like staffing at your shop has been minimal. I’m assuming it has to do with COVID, but is the owner only allowing a couple of barbers at once or did barbers choose not to come back? I’d love to hear a discussion on how things have changed and how you feel about everything in your area.
I have babyliss pro fx clippers and babyliss trimmers in my collection, you’re so right , I don’t care about the customization, love them but, my magic clips cordless love love love them more, like your vids lol bro chi-town holla
Yessir! Time to get some berrrrries 🍒My guy steady just shitting on colors though lmao 😂😂 I'm jk but it seems babyliss is more focused on IG representation and social media visualization then change or advancement in technology
nice video bro, but you cut the first client way too short , you chose to connect the top to the side while your clipper work was meant to be a disconnected you went too high during that.
Always open for feedback, but you assumed a few things that just aren't correct... I created a square shape with a #2, that's more than enough hair to connect the sides with the top. I do it to 90% of my haircuts. Also, the initial cut was actually an undercut, he requested about 3 adjustments during... which is why you see me go over the top a few times.
@@KevvThaw Yes thats what i meant your initial cut was undercut ,but you chose to connect it later on but now i understand because your client wanted it shorter, i personally would go with bit more length while taking out with number 2 so that i stays more square as his head shape is really oval also much more easier to connect and you dont have this flap hanging over blend is much more nicer ,,
Run Beast ah ok, I hear what you’re saying, but whether I’m connecting or disconnecting I start my haircuts that way. And id leave more hair along the parietal ridge only if he was going for flow. But he wanted it as short as possible without showing scalp, right up top. Being Jewish we adjusted the top short in the back for his yarmulke and left length in the front.

So how do you usually cut do you fade down or up ?
I do a combination. It really depends on the fade. But it’s hard to explain to a beginner how I cut.
The Barber's Table what about a mid and low fade what do you use usually
