- Jesus knew how it felt like to be falsely judged. The government and religious authorities of Jesus’ day saw Jesus and his disciples as troublemakers, lawbreakers, and rebels. Jesus and his crew were eyed with suspicion whenever they entered a new city or walked down the street. Rumors and false accusations swirled. Everything they did was questioned or challenged.
The truth is, they were rebels. They were challenging authority. But they were not criminals. They were rebels for peace. They challenged others to love everyone. This was a radical idea that the leaders of that time couldn’t see or wouldn’t embrace. But that didn’t stop Jesus or his followers. They did the right thing despite the misunderstanding and biases within their society.

This message is attempting to call forth those who think they are unworthy just like the apostles felt when Jesus called them to follow him. Peter even told Jesus to get away from him when he was first approached by him.
This video is intended to show that all are welcomed as they are just as Jesus accepted all the apostles but it was through him and the actions they took in his name which eventually changed all of them.
The apostles weren’t perfect, Peter denied him, Thomas doubted him, Judas betrayed him and Paul persecuted his people, none of them were told immediately everything by Jesus but can be clearly seen to have been taught along the way.
Jesus first actions was to show that it was those who society rejected, as well as those rejected by the Pharisees that he came to save.
Biblically, the Pharisees did in fact see Jesus & his apostles as spoken in this video because that’s how they also viewed others who Jesus spoke to. I recommend people to read scripture for themselves.

I left the church/organized religion years ago... But this ad really spoke to me and made me think about my relationship with Jesus.
I agree with you man. I have definitely not made faith a priority in my life in recent years but this ad was beautifully crafted for people like me and you I think.

A lot of what is featured in this ad is a regular occurrence, with people faithful to Christ and the Word of God living this Way for all people. Maybe you should explore what evidence based disciplines know about the world and our existence in it before falling back into superstition. I was a Christian for 30 years and it wasn't until I learned how to learn through science that my questions were answered.

The Pharisees clearly saw Jesus as a rebel due to his actions, not his appearance, prime example is when Jesus turned tables inside the Temple out of righteous anger. The apostles were seen as and were indeed sinners!, added with their preaching which differ from the Pharisees labeled them rebels! These people in the video are clearly seen by the majority of our society and Christians as sinners, rebels unworthy and yet that who Jesus picked and came to save, those sinners who then began to preach his words! It wasn’t the Pharisees nor those who deemed themselves righteous who first preached Jesus’ teachings. That’s how we all start! As sinners who he calls to fulfill his will! This ad makes my eyes swell every time I see it. There is so much power in this message and it is exactly what the world needs today. A lot of today's "Christians" have totally lost sight of what true faith is.

If these commercials save only one person and leads them into a relationship with Jesus, than I believe the purpose and message of the godpel is being fulfilled. Amen

The thing is, He was falsely judged according to legal standards but that was the plan all along
Sort of, He was judged for disturbing the Holy Temple and claiming to be the Messiah which the Pharisees deliberately misinterpreted as saying he's a King as an act of usurpation to Roman authority.
The ad is especially delicious coming from people within a country whose government was modelled by the very government that tortured, humiliated and executed Jesus.

I asked a guy that I worked with during a work break (a part time pastor) at an earlier time in my life, why everytime that I contemplated myself and the life I was living, totally acknowledging that I was a flawed and broken man, I always seemed to get that lump in your throat like you''re going to cry, and what he said has always stuck with me. Jesus saves! He wasn’t an “outlaw” just for the sake of being an outlaw. He came to testify to the truth and to save sinners. We all fall short of the glory of God, but he offers this free (not cheap) gift of salvation. All we need to do is accept it, repent (turn) from our sins, and follow Him. He makes us new.

Be careful when likening Jesus Christ to us, because while it is true that he sympathizes with our struggles, and calls us his friend, it is also true that he is very much unlike us. He, unlike us, was and is perfect, and it is only by his perfect sacrifice that we may be saved. His resistance to worldly authorities was only ever out of obedience to the Father's authority, and was never by means of rioting or even legal reform. Jesus rendered to Caesar what was Caesar's, and did not resist arrest or retaliate against unjust punishment. Rather, for our sake, he was punished to death, unjustly not because of by whom it was administered, but because it was deserved by you and I. Your sin and my sin put Christ on the cross. Our sin deserves the death he died. Praise God who raised Him again, and by faith through grace also raises us with Him, in Him. Praise be to God that we get Him.

As far as christian ads go, this was actually kind of wholesome and positive. Don't know if it was worth a 7 million dollar Superbowl slot, could've done a lot for the poor with that money, but you do you I guess.

The use of unconscious and conditioned bias in this ad is honestly impressive. They did a good job.
Well it was paid for by a billionaire. This is the most lucrative industry on the planet - even more so than oil. It makes $1.2 TRILLION annually!! Oil makes about $225 Billion annually. But the difference is that the Christian Industry is tax free. Puts thing in perspective doesn't it? They can well afford to hire the very best marketing team with all the latest psychology tricks. They won't stay the richest people on the planet if we all don't keep tithing, offering, and providing free labor to their tax free grift. This is two thousand year old power. It runs deep. Watch before long you won't be able to google search just how much money the Christian Industry makes every year. As of 2023 it is $1.2 Trillion FOR ONE YEAR. Jesus is king of cash and god is gold.

It's typically best not to mix up the religious figure with the religion that forms around them. Jesus broke bread with prostitutes and tax collectors, shielded those the establishment said needed to die for their actions (real or perceived), and told thieves and liars that redemption was for them, too. His original followers were farmers, fishermen, prostitutes and slaves. He said a camel had a better chance of squeezing through the eye of a needle than a rich man making it into heaven. He overturned the tables of the merchants who profited from the sincere worship of the poor. His message of equality between the most exalted among society and the lowest of society was seen as so dangerous that Rome sought to destroy it - because the world Jesus talked about was not a world where Rome could exist as it was.

This just played during the Tampa Bay New Orleans game! I was VERY shocked! But VERY pleased!
The only rebellion Jesus offered was that He was holy in an unholy world. Jesus GETS US because He experienced all the temptations that we faced without giving into sin, remaining holy. They didn't hate and kill Jesus because He was a rebel, they hated and killed Him out of their own rebellion against God (rejecting Jesus as the Messiah that was foretold).
Jesus called out the Jews for misrepresenting God (highlighting works of the law vs having a heart for God) and rejecting Him as being the Messiah. But God knew this would happen and was part of His plan, as salvation is now available to both Jews and non-Jews under the new Covenant that Christ established.
Just like Jesus' message of love wasn't to accept everyone as they are and allow them to keep sinning, but to get the people to recognize that He was their Savior from wrath and eternal suffering of fire and brimstone. He longed for them to change their hearts and follow Him, just as He told the adulteress woman the Pharisees were getting ready to stone, to "go, and sin no more".
Videos like this get people talking about Jesus, but people need to know that Jesus wasn't accepting of everyone's foolishness. He warned that He was here at first to save, but would one day return again to JUDGE.
Remember: Jesus GETS US because He experienced all the temptations that we faced, and yet He sinned not. So we need to strive to be holy like Jesus, and not abuse God's grace by indulging in everything our minds, heart, and flash tells us is right. But instead, we should live by the principles outlined by God's Word (The BIble) and the Living Word (Jesus)

As a Christian, I usually find Christian ad campaigns way too on the nose and really obnoxious. But I like this. A focus on humanizing Jesus, in this video and all the other ones, as we forget all too often that he was, in fact, human. (As well as God.) Eventually this’ll probably fade into obscurity and forgotten by the internet. But the people behind this have made something that has a way bigger chance of saving people than the vast majority of other campaigns I’ve seen. So to the creators of this campaign: Do the good work while you can. Even if it only saves one person, all the money spent on this will be worth it. God bless.

I really like this commercial. It reminds me that we're all related through the creation process. A process that allows us to know without being told, what to do and not to do. To be humble and help. Its really something to see someone who lived through rough times take their experiences to motivate themselves to help their family and friends. That love thats in all of us, was also in all the generations before us, through loving parents and undying loyalty to the group. Anyhow the human being is very beautiful. Its a blessing in disguise to be able to do the necessary, naturally as we can only feel good to help and bad for holding others back.
Why? Those that are so selfish eventually disappear. Only those that can embrace our common goals (like raising our children) worl together to live together, by putting pride to the side. Those that are proud forget how limited that time really is, once they realize it they become increasingly concerned and involved with their loved ones, as to no longer waste time that can be spent together enjoy the beauty of life and the uplifting power of Love

If you don’t want to keep His law, then you still have a heart of stone. The Israelites in the Wilderness were kept from the promised land because the had no faith. Their lack of faith was evident because they didn’t keep God’s law.
Return to God. Show your faith in Him by keeping His law. This fluff about being a rebel by loving people is nice, but be a REAL rebel against this world and love God the way he described in His law. Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
Sounds like a great way to maintain control over a civilization. Convince the people they are broken and should remain obedient to their masters.

Instead I bowed down, literally, and asked for forgiveness in having ever denied HIM. I asked HIM to show me more. And did HE ever! But then I saw it pop up again and noticed the name of the author, and hot curious as to where this was gonna lead. I don't know who these people are. Never heard of them before. I stumbled across this commercial purely by accident about a month ago. How often does a commercial engage someone so that they don't click skip?!! I was so moved by the message in this ad, that I started watching the others (however, Wrongly Judged remains my favorite) and became a subscriber. I also share the videos; they deliver powerful messages and are well thought out and presented. HeGetsUs is what we need to be focusing on in this time of uncertainty. And, I am, by no means, a religious person.
One who truly believes in Jesus Christ knows it's not about religion, it's about faith. Faith in his teachings, faith to walk in his foot steps and the faith to have a one on one relationship with the son of God. We are all broken but Jesus became the ultimate sacrifice for our brokenness, his sacrifice on the cross washed away our sins and gave us the opportunity to enter into heaven. I've been a Christian for 40 years and every day I fail but every day I'm forgiven, all I have to do is ask and repent.

You must be born again in Christ to be saved. Loving your neighbor alone will not get you into the kingdom of God, it's a good start, but incomplete
