Awesome work! Very talented!
Hi, thanks for message!!! 🙏🙏🙏
You are welcome! 😊 Just curious on why you made the top cover so tall.
Great thanks for sharing ,
approximately how heavy is the suitcase(kg)? And what thickness of plywood did you use?
Hi, How are you? 3,5 kg with 6mm plywood…
@@woodtransformer fine, how are you? Tnx!
We need a carrying handle buddy!! But great job , I learned a lot.👍
Don't it breath?
@assisjaimedeoliveira5042 Tudo bem?
Plyboard is too thin for this application. No washers used on the backs of the rivets. No carry handle and no way of cabling up the unit for use whilst inside the case
All good? We have to evaluate the type of use. In this case it is a domestic use. For this reason I use these materials in the applied way. During the beginning of assembly, the structure "seems" fragile, but when we add elements, everything gains strength. The important thing is that I demonstrated all the steps facilitating the construction for all of you.
Thank you very much for the message. big hug!!!
If some of your washers let go over time, at least you can drill them and remove them. Even a nylon washer would prevent pull through when the plywood splits a bit. Or you can just glue the washers back in place with some Cyanoacrylite glue. 🙂
Hi, Thanks for message! This space for the second video… Thanks for watching!
Nice... I'd pay for that 🎉
Can I buy it ?🤔
🙌👏👏👏👏🙏🙏🙏
Amazing work. What specific black spray do you use for the silver edges/lining? I would like to paint mine black like yours. Thanks for sharing.
Hi, How are you? I use liquid wax with black dye, sandpaper… repeat two or three times… I like!!!
Sooo what's with the adds on your videos asking you sir
All good? Thank you for sending new messages. The adds are from you tube. you can subscribe and be free from them. It's a UA-cam rule... I have no control over it. I have clarified. Until later!

Hi. Thanks for the video.
A year later, would you recommend pop rivets into plywood?
@yossiyaari3760 Hi how are you? Yes this is a secret of power strong!!! You need to use pop rivets with flat washers, for grownups to contact area. When use that “shake” you can make a fly case less weight with more flat play wood. Thanks for message!
Great But! QUESTION?? Why is the lid so large? If it is a hardware issue you can find other latches.
@310socal Hi, it's a good question! After start i had a problem with slider for computer. I cant buy because didnt have in Brazil. Ever day i try buy that for finesh that project. When i got it i will make the second video for finish the theme. Thanks for your good question!!!
Why do you have adds on your videos for what they do for you

Can u make me one please am in Jamaica? That's nice
Hi, How are you? OMG, i would like but… i can make another Big box for care that. Make two for send one. Thanks for your message. 🙏🙏🙏
Nice work! Could you tell us what materials you're using, the vendors, and perhaps the dimensions? I realize you're making it for a specific case, but it would be good if you could tell us the tolerances. Once again, great work my friend! I would love to start a business with you making these
@ericweiler6571 Hi, thanks for message. I feel very good when I receive message like that. I created a list and post in video description. About the size of my project…. I made using the size of DDJ… compare, cut, paste. Tip and Trick: select equipment and star your project, if you need help send a new message for me… I waiting for you my friend. Growing up together!!!
@@woodtransformer I used to DJ when I was in high school. Three days ago I turned 50 and I still love music! I've got a little music and photography studio here at home and I'm getting into making flight cases. I made the mistake (back when I was in high school) to make a turntable/mixer coffin for my Technics 1200s and Rane mixer with 3/4" particle board!!! It probably weighed about 80lbs by itself. My question for you my friend is, what is the best material (and width) for a flight case? You are very talented!
Vedy mucha da good. Excellento kraftwerk. A few hinges wood b gooder. Although ply is only thinn, foam internal lining compensates.
@PETECAROLAN Hello! A long time ago, i made using hard wood, was strong, but very heavy. For that woodworking i change for plywood and solve the problem about heavy. Thanks for your message and subscribing.
Now... how much did it cost to make? Would the cost to make offset the cost and time to just buy outright?
Hi, How are you doing? Good question, sometimes you can buy that spending more or less money. I made that project for share the process… and refresh my mind. @HonEbaby143
what stops it from falling into the top part of the case please? it seems very deep? i love it and want to build one myself
Hi, this is true! On the top have a big space. But it's on purpose... I will make using sliders for my MacBook. I will make de second video for complete the first. Thanks for message and send more message when you will have new questions. See you soon!!! @fantasiamedia
Great job!!!! What type of foam (and glue) do you use? Thanks a lot!!!!
Hi, how are you? I use contact glue, spray. Thanks for message!!!!!
From a “djs” perspective-- you could have made that top portion just a 1” top, or made the entire case 1/2 the depth.
All that space is just precious packing real estate gone.
But more importantly more area you have to fill with soft foam so the unit doesn’t bounce inside when not stored flat/horizontal. Woodworking wise, absolutely love the execution though.
@djjoshuacarl hi! how are you? thanks for your comments. about the space inside of case: when started, my project was put a computer on the top with slider guide, but, i needed divide the project in 2 part... i am looking for the slider guide for a lot of month. i believe... when i find that i post the second part! see tou later!!! thank for your attention!!!
@@woodtransformer totally get that! I wish controller companies would put a few loops on the underside so you could strap a unit to the bottom, it would Alleviate so many build roadblocks, ironically I bought the case your shooting for ( it’s the XS-RANEONEWLTWH from Pro-x)
But they “really” don’t make cases to fit the controllers,
They use the same kit for all the units, and retro-fit the dense foam for each controller --
That’s how I happened upon your video. I wanted to learn to do it myself and have it fit the RaneOne’s unique size properly. And I really did learn a lot! Excellent Video, and I appreciate the response 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
What no handle or wheels and what about sponge to protect the controller from the top, just saying
Hello, it's true! I'm recording the second part of this. I had trouble buying computer sliders. When I buy it I will finish a second part. Thanks for your message! @djpuma007 🙏🙏🙏👍👍👍
And the exit of the cables, where is it going to come out? If the box does not have any holes.
Thanks for your mensage. In the next video i will put a lot of hardware for upgrade the box.👍
Simply gorgeous! Great job! Do you have a list of all the materials and tools used? Or should I email you? Thank You!
Thank you so much!!! I was very happy to receive your comment. I do have a list! I can post it in the video description or send it to you without any problem. I await contact! @javiermontes4125
Very good job, question are the corners to make it stackable?
Hi, how are you? You can buy different model… I use a simple corners stackble. Flip de side and install. Thanks for your message.
sorry but from the effort and cost ,
simply too much . the cases there are already suitable in the optics for from 50 US$
in addition, the processing is better than shown here.
Hi, i spend $70 for make that, but i am from Brazil. In Brazil the price is not good for us. But, when i create that videos, my target is: share the tecniques and show the ideas. Thanks for your message and see you a next time!!!
@andreasbruckner1648
Hi! No, when you close, all the things keep stopped. This is a secret of project!
nice to see the process. doing woodwork and djing my self, this is the perfect combination.
Where is the handle?
Thick foam should be pasted on the top.
Hi, how are you? Thanks for your message. I’m working in second video for put handle and another hardware’s for upgrade… see a next time!!!!
Why make the lid so deep,! And no carrying handles ???
Hi… this is true… after posted i saw that problem. i so sorry!! this is a big project and have a lot of details...
Awesome quality, but why is the top so tall? are you gonna put a laptop stand in there? what about if it goes upside down or sideways, is the controller gonna flop around?
@Dannerrrr Hi, how are you? Thanks for message. This is true, but after when I buy the slider for laptop all that's problem will solve. I have a problem, in Brazil don't have the slider for laptop... unfortunately I waiting opportunity for buy and create the second video. Thanks for you comment, this is very important for my channel keep growing up.
@@woodtransformer thanks for answering my question! This is my favorite flight case video.
@Dannerrrr ❤️❤️❤️
Buen trabajo. Y las conexiones traseras para los cables????
Olá! Existe somente um furo, bem pequeno, discreto…!🙏🙏🙏
No glue I've ever used on 4mm ply ever stuck like that!
👍
Bellissimo lavoro. Complimenti!!!!!
@giancarlocollu9653
i would also wire an AC power connection, XLR outputs for mains, and possibly 1/4" or RCA outputs for booth.
Thank you for the contact. Some people have commented on the cable routing. This specific project I put the passage but it was on the other side of the photo. In the future I will change the cover image to try to resolve this doubt in part. 🙏🙏🙏 @pierrenorman421
You know what sir I still look back at this vido can't help it I must like it soo very much it a good one to watch ok cool

Great video! Where do you buy the inside foam?
Hi, how are you? You can buy in Amazon. Thanks for your visit!!!! @DJWoody714

Incluirei as alças, e suporte para o computador e outros detalhes. Agradeço sua participação!!!
hey mate, you most def have the skills, would kill to see a v2 (and maybe you could sell a dynamic design) with some upgrades, beefier wood, storage place for cables notebook and such, room for back I/O just as you made with the front, a handle lol, and the most important, sandwitch the ddj with foam from the top, so you can rotate the case in all directions. cheers!
Hi, how are you? Thanks for message! I have a lot ideas for make new updates… iron slides for computer, two drawers for two sides… and more like yours ideas. See you later. 🙏🙏🙏
Sayy I injoy watching your nice videos ok cool work nice
That’s going to be in bits in no time. Why didn’t you fit the handle on it? Ply too thin? Ply less than 9mm is easier to cut with a knife and why’s it big enough to fit another 2 controllers in? Not very good son.
@whoshatwat hi, how are you? thanks for your message. One year ago, i was starting my channel in youtube. i had a lot of ideas inside of my mind. in to beginner all of thinks isnt easy. when i receive one message like that i fill very happy becouse the persons see my power and comment for my growup.

Wouldn't it be easier to buy a soft case and get it over with. Unless you're planning to keep the controller for 20 years but I doubt it
@erniemoroccomuraoka3464 Good evening, how are you. Really, buying would be easier, however, making for some people is more pleasurable. this is my case! I always liked to build things. It is fascinating to know or develop a project from scratch. The satisfaction is inexplicable!!! Thank you for leaving your comment, see you later!
Lovely Work, but you still need to get the cords connected or make ports for them. Geezus...watching this in 5X speed just makes me want to buy one off Amazon. This was a lot of freaking work and I think it would cost me more in money and time to build this myself. Same thing happened when I built my Facade, wished I had just purchased it instead.

Damn bro! Good job, you can tell you’re very skilled. Just a question, how much and where do you get materials? If the video was 45 mins how long did it take? And was it worth it? It seems like a lot of work, did you actually save money or do you just like doing this stuff for fun? Thanks, even if you don’t respond I appreciate your time.

Grande abraço e qualquer coisa estou a disposição!
