Very nice case, im glad you got the black because its easy to touch up scratches with some black spray paint. I have to admit these cases make you feel and look so much more professional when out on gigs.
Yeah man I was going back and forth because of possible chipping of paint, but you're right- a little black spray and it'll be fine. And yeah, you definitely get that more professional feel with these nice cases- unfortunately for me it doesn't fit on my facade table so now I need to rethink my set-up! Although I must admit I'll be glad if I don't have to lug the facade around. To quote you: #painintheassfacade
The shelf slides far, but I kind of still find it to be in the way of the very top of the controller. That said, it looks like there is only about 1/4 inch extra space in the foam housing for the controller and my guess is that the FLX10 won't fit right. But as someone else mentioned I'm pretty sure they make one especially for the FLX10. Good luck!
I had a long look at all of these cases and ended up designing one and having it built by a local flight case manufacturer. This one it's too thick due to the laptop stand on top and doesn't allow the crowd to see the decks or the DJ.
Oh nice- great idea! Yeah this case isn't optimal. It does the job but there are definitely shortcomings. I use it mainly out of convenience these days (it's all plugged in and ready to go) but I'll probably end up looking for an alternative. What local flight case manufacturer did you use? Was it affordable and how are you liking it?
Yes it does! I had a facade/ table/ booth I was using and it wouldn't fit this case because of the sliding shelf. I have ended up not using the booth because I like the plug-and-play convenience of this case
No issues so far actually! I mean a couple of the rivets have chipped a bit, but that's small and to be expected. The two corner 'balls' on the side with the wheels have definitely gotten scratched up a bit, but again that's to be expected since they are coming in contact with the ground often
@@djvb1234I’m debating whether to get the plain black one or the honeycomb black texture like you have. Any regrets about going with the honeycomb a year later?
@@DJ-Coma Absolutely no regrets. It looks as sharp as ever. The corners are slightly dinged, but that's to be expected and you can fix it with just a little touch-up

Touch up? Are u a makeup artist or a hard core dj, sheesh
Can you fit a FLX10 on this? How far does the shelf slide to?FLX10 is the same length as 1000 but the width is 1" longer.
They make one specifically for the flx10 I just got one for Christmas

Great video...still don't know what those 2 little rubber strips are used for!
Hahaha! I know right!
They’re for your wrists when you’re using your laptop on the slider

Do you think this will fit the ddj sx??
I don't have a DDJ SX to try it out myself, but it looks like it won't quite fit- at least not good enough to stay secure in the foam of the case
@@djvb1234thanks for the info, but then again the box does say the sx3 will fit, the sx is the same size as the sx3…
@@thecardude5033 oh no kidding! Well then it just might! I didn't want to steer you wrong. Cheers!
@@djvb1234thanks ! I was able to try it out and I can confirm it fits the ddj sx !
@@thecardude5033 Yesss! Great to hear!
Nice case I just modify my one 👍🏻
Is there a way to lock the laptop shelf in place?
No unfortunately not. However it stays in place well
can you remove the laptop shelf ? I brought a mobile booth thats not going to fit in with the slide?

Very nice. I’m looking to get an all black case. Do u have any issues with the color? Does it peel.

Thx
Dude your voice sounds identical to Paul Rudd
Hahaha! You think so? That is the first time I've heard that- Thank you!
