    I did my case build following R.W and it saves me a lot of time. My SZ has been asked about plenty of times. I love it.

    One extra thing I do on all my cases, an extra 2 rca’s from record out to your front panel. So videographers can plug straight in and grab the audio for the event/speeches if you’re not running external mixing board.

    I’ve always wanted to do a setup like this! It looks super fun an easy to setup, but I hate not having gain on my ddj1000srt. I’m definitely doing this instead in an 8u rack case with a drive rack PA2!

    Great Vid.....A few tips.... Mounting neutrik connectors from behind the patch panels gives a much much cleaner look. It also puts less stress on the mounting screws as you connect/disconnect your cables. Running xlrs right next to PowerCon will likely induce a noticeable hum/buzz. I always leave a minimum 2 hole gap.
    Pioneer controllers/mixers have always had inferior mic inputs. It is their greatest Achilles heel. Even a cheapie Behringer/Alto/Pyle mixer will yield much greater sonic results....

    • @tjark6759
      @tjark6759 2 роки тому +2

      Xlr isn't really the problem because it's symmetric and any unwanted noises should just cancel out. RCA is more concerning because its not symmetrical.

    • @pstentertnmt
      @pstentertnmt 2 роки тому

      Shouldn't be an issue with XLR since it's balanced. It's one of the reasons why XLR cables can be ran for long runs. RCA cables are a different story.

    I love the upgrades! But does it make sense to attach an arm for the laptop, when the slider has a lot more space for other needed things? I would add the arm if the case did not came with a slider. Just my opinion…

    • @DJRickWeb

    This whole video is nice but somewhat dated the case build was more relevant 2 or 3 years ago it’s nice to have but IMO it HONESTLY has come too totally hybrid style setup ups controllers are bigger and heavier than ever, most mobile DJ hates heavy wood style sliding cases to much weight to be lugging around ur lugging around a case weighs 3x the controller weighs the built in laptop holder is nice but still more weight that will eventually were out the case or constantly keeps getting loose, a nice laptop stand more convenient trust me.alternatives has come to facades or scrims much better looking and lighter a heavy case is not needed necessary cause ur covered by facade, just a alternative to the big case build I’ve done many case builds starting to realize there’s lighter options for mobility.

    • @DJRickWeb
      @DJRickWeb  2 роки тому +1

      Used my sz case for 4 years no issues with the arm very reliable proven to be a good option. This setup doesn't use a facade. Or scrim that can hide anything. It all had to be built in.

      Heres a quick example why I am right. The last 2 weddings I did I rented xdj xz, used 3 flash drives. One had the tired old wedding dance songs you have including Yeah by Usher. One had cocktail dinner music and one had all the requests from the couple. 3 flash drives with maybe 2 crates in each. Saved time not opening up Serato. No laptop shelf either.
