Playing for the first time. I finally get my saber, and think "let the slaughter begin!" Then, they immediately drop me in a level full of instant death drops, enemies who throw infinite unblockable grenades (to which they themselves are immune), and those ghastly snipers. That's actually very cool little piece of knowledge, after I saw this comment I was watching "The Batman" and the voice of the Joker is also the same voice as Reelo Baruk, and he was also the narrator in Baldur's Gate, voice of Goro in the MK movie and Tartarus from Halo 2.

I recently played it on Jedi knight. All I could say is that Artus Prime, this level, Bespin, the part on the Cairn where you have to jump the other side with the stormtroopers shooting you with rocket launchers, the dark Jedi shadow troopers, and desann will not be a blue milk run.
There's a weird environment glitch to the right of the R1 droid who's next to that switch near the end. Basically you can use it to jump up onto that little basin-like ledge & into the vent/crawlspace, coming at the secret from the other direction. This vid really helped me out with the last part: I had everything else, but failed to remember it was the signals I needed to change to GTFO this hellscape 😂 Still, it has been about 2 decades. Good walkthrough so far.
I just found your channel and I love your playthroughs! It's like your in the room playing while I watch. Will you do a playthrough through the first Dark Forces game? That's the only one I haven't played yet of the four in the series.
@@dtxspeaks268 -Vjun: fairly average; you just have to protect yourself from the rain, blast everything with Lightning and you have Kyle to help you in the first two areas. Also, Ross is very easy to defeat. -Chandrilla: very fun but again not as hard as this level of Jedi Outcast: you have much stronger powers by that point in the game and you are not targeted by snipers from all directions. -Tanaab: a joke; the only thing you have to do is to run and ignore all of the reborn and cultists that get in your way (the rancor will kill them for you). Frankly, the only part you have to fight is in the room of the final part (were you trap the rancor) against three reborn. -Taspir 3: like Vjun on steroids (without the acid rain) and the part the I found challenging is the lava lake full of Hazard Troopers. Still consider it easier than this level of Outcast as the Hazard Troopers are within your range to blast them with Force Lightning to death (while the Snipers is Nar Shaddaa are very far). The Reborn Masters in Taspir can easily be killed by doing Dark Rage+Force Speed, Force Speed+Impale or just spam Impale. Alora is avarege to defeat. -Korriban: fairly averege if you go by the Light Side route. You have tons of Jedi to help you against the cultists and reborn forces, and when you don't have help, they are not very hard. Tavion with the scepter is ridiculously easy to defeat (seriously the fight is incredibly one-sided: all you have to do is dodge her beams, attack her with everything you've got, repeat). Ragnos-possessed Tavion on the other hand is a lot more challenging and can heal very quickly (only four times though), I'd argue that he is the hardest boss in the game (Not as hard as JO's Desann though, as he possesses a near unbreakable Force Grip). The Dark Side route of the game, on the other hand is A LOT more challenging than the Light Side; you are always alone and the Jedi can resist your Dark Side powers, making the game much harder. I'd argue the only part were it becomes more challenging than this Nar Shaddaa level is when you go to the catacombs (very small space to move around) and face off agains four Jedi Masters (yeah, had to reload plenty of times). But for the rest of it, you can just use the reborn and culitists as a distraction for the Jedi to weaken them and then kick their Light-sided asses, before turning on the reborn (the lesser threat) as well. Tavion is still ridiculously easy and Kyle is not as hard as Marka Ragnos (he doesn't possess that nasty Desann-like Lightsaber style or that annoying Dark Rage). 8:56 "See ya!" 20:45 lol that could have ended badly. Lol you wrecked all the enemies so beautifully in this level. How many times did you fail to get to secret 5? Waiting for more of this LP. Very good nostalgic watch.
It was about 4 or 5 times where I just couldn't make the jump to get back. I'd always manage to get over to the secret every single time but not back lol. That moment at 20:45 will possibly be the scariest moment of this entire LP, because I didn't wanna have to do this level over again. XD
I got stuck at the boxes part, which you have to pull and push, when the elevator gets down the window closes and I cannot push the box to make the elevator go up
This has to be a contender for one of the worst levels in gaming history. One-hit snipers that can instantly kill you, barely any opportunities to use the lightsaber you just got, and it doesn't really make use of the Quake-style gameplay like the rest of the levels in the game. The level design itself is pretty decent admittedly, but goddamn it's so fucking hard and frustrating.
What do you do if you miss the buttons on the garbage hauler? There's a kill lock on every surface that isn't on the platform you land on. So unfair, now I have to start over the whole level.
Have you tried to jump on the ship at the start of the level? This should bring you to the last part of the map. I tried to do it when I found that secret area at the highest point of the level but to no avail.
Thanx A lot, mate! I tried this jump at least two hundred times, and my keyboard started to suffer too much ^_^ After your idea I managed to do this TWICE in a row!
For reliability need optimal position and orientation prior to jumping . Be positioned about 2/3 of the width back from the right hand edge of the garbage hauler i.e. two thirds of the way back from the edge closest to the wall/chute. Also be turned a little to the right i.e. don't face the wall squarely but turn clockwise a bit first. Then jump + crouch ( plus on my PC keyboard)

I know in academy I have had the game automatically activate force speed for me while engaging enemies with disruptor rifles.
Hello, You may have already answered this but what emulator are you using for all of these old DF games? If you could post a link that would be awesome
The Rodians here are the ORIGINAL Halo 2 Jackal snipers
Omg canteena band in the background so nostalgic ☺️
8:56 "See ya!" 20:45 lol that could have ended badly.
Lol you wrecked all the enemies so beautifully in this level.
How many times did you fail to get to secret 5?
Waiting for more of this LP. Very good nostalgic watch.
It was about 4 or 5 times where I just couldn't make the jump to get back. I'd always manage to get over to the secret every single time but not back lol. That moment at 20:45 will possibly be the scariest moment of this entire LP, because I didn't wanna have to do this level over again. XD
5:42 secret 1
6:35 secret 2
16:33 secret 3
17:10 secret 4
20:22 secret 5
21:38 secret 6
I got stuck at the boxes part, which you have to pull and push, when the elevator gets down the window closes and I cannot push the box to make the elevator go up
The button that you have to hit to override the route of the garbage compactors isn't working for me. I've tried both force push and pull. Any advice?
This has to be a contender for one of the worst levels in gaming history. One-hit snipers that can instantly kill you, barely any opportunities to use the lightsaber you just got, and it doesn't really make use of the Quake-style gameplay like the rest of the levels in the game. The level design itself is pretty decent admittedly, but goddamn it's so fucking hard and frustrating.
Thanks mate, really handy on the PS4 port
What do you do if you miss the buttons on the garbage hauler? There's a kill lock on every surface that isn't on the platform you land on. So unfair, now I have to start over the whole level.
Have you tried to jump on the ship at the start of the level? This should bring you to the last part of the map. I tried to do it when I found that secret area at the highest point of the level but to no avail.
Thank you. Total lifesaver.
The 6th and final secret is accessible by a much easier route on the ledge, at 2-3 o'clock from the R2 unit, through the grill.
Without cheats you can't jump high enough for that.
Love that the bartender is Thrawns race
The Nar Shadaa and Coruscant level from Jedi Academy have very similar themes
Not surprising, considering both games were made by the same developers.
The Steam version I recently purchased did not have the secret area in the main bar area in the first room. Has anyone else experienced that?
anyone trying to get the final secret, dont use the full force jump, just tap space for a bit and do a crouch jump, thats how i managed to get it.
Thanx A lot, mate! I tried this jump at least two hundred times, and my keyboard started to suffer too much ^_^ After your idea I managed to do this TWICE in a row!
Bro this level is sooooooo hard like they don’t miss a single shot
I can't get the first Secret the tabel won't go in what should I do?
I have problem ist play this game ps4 and i can not push the tabel for secret number one this is gratis Problem i dont become the tropy. Can help?
Use the square/use button on the table bud.
My force push don't move the table is that a glitch?
Never trust the bartender of bad grammar lol 🤣🤣
Bro that part were you jump in off that trash thing into the room can't even make it in there i keep trying but it's not working
Admiral Thrawn is a spare time bartender...
you can move with the scope if you crouch move found out bye myself just randomly
Thanks!
How is your game picture so damn lighted. Mine's dark as hell, I cant see anything on mine. Then again im playing it on GameCube so that may be why.
For some reason, they forgot to put a brightness slider in the GameCube port.
@@noahfessenden6478 News to me, I was unaware of this.
I have no idea how in the hell you get that final secret!!! I'm doing the exact thing you are doing and I still cannot get in there
For reliability need optimal position and orientation prior to jumping .
@@undividedself1 thanks for that! Your post reminded me to start playing it again. I bought it on PS4 to get me ready for Jedi Fallen Order
@@skywalkerslegacy You're welcome! Btw son and I played today and we worked out exactly how to successfully jump from the glass bridge to secret area 5
Thanks for the video.
I can't push the table to get access to the secret area. It's just inactive. All other items works fine.
Try 'use' on the table -- Ctrl + E probably
@@undividedself1 Thank you so much mate, seriously so helpful, I'm playing on PS4 and doing the find all secrets trophy. Thanks so much, thought it had glitched.
Thank you! I had the exact same problem and found the solution here :D @@undividedself1
For some reason when I'm playing this level with cheats I can't force pull the bridge towards the end. Not that it matters I just find it weird
The switch that you press at 20:35 next to the R5 droid....notice the panel leaning against the wall? You can actually jump on top of it and from there jump to the grate to get the last secret. A lot easier than that tricky barge jump.
Michael Proctor Sorry m8 trayed to land on that panel next to the R5 but I can't land on it as what happen is I get stuck in air without beabe to jump again. You can't land on that panel and if you have prof show me?:)
the only good nar shadda level is the starpad because it feels so good when you finally get out of this hellhole
The next level isn't too bad, but you're right. The Nar Shaddaa levels, while they look cool, aren't really my favorites.
But bespin... oh boy does the game get REALLY good when you reach the bespin streets, but then it gets worse on the doomgiver
Kinda wish you woulda had full dismemberment enabled, makes the saber combat in this game next level
I guess those Rodians heard what happened to their buddy greedo.
Any idea why I can't seem to get the first secret by pushing the table... nothing happens? 😔
Press action button not force
The jedi outcast playthrough you should watch.
The most memorable sw game dialog evers
When I was a very young pork, playing this game helped me become a real man...
1st secret with the table wont work for me. On PS4, does the PS4 version have different secrets or something? do I need to trigger something else to happen?
Same problem
