"Lady Luck" is the name of a story title in the "Star Wars Tales" comic series by Dark Horse; it takes place 1 year after "Star Wars" and tells the tale of how Lando became the baron administrator of Cloud City, there's a female character in it, hence the name of the story.
I love figuring stuff out but there's definitely a few bits where I just never would've thought of it. It's like tomb raider 3 in it's complexity, but it's still great.
The issue isn’t the level design (well it is, but not the main issue). It’s the shooting. Holy fuck it’s awful. Hitboxes are a mess and enemies won’t stop moving around so you can never hit them, or when you do you have to pump 500 rounds into them. Lightsaber combat is also a pain in the ass and the best way to hit anything is just throwing your sabre and hoping for the best. It’s a huge pain in the ass
I bought it for my computer 3 years back never beat it I'll be Jedi Academy but I never beat Jedi Outcast I just recently bought it for my switch and now I'm trying to beat it Jedi Outcast for the first time
3:40 wow.. I always wonder why there was a dead-end room that was so unimaginably dark. There were some issues in Jedi Knight 1 and Mysteries of the Sith also with the lightsaber not brightening up the shadows in some spaces *makes grr face*
@LightningBoltForever great job on this video I never beat Jedi Outcast I own the entire series on my computer and now I'm trying to play it on the switch the series definitely does not hold your hand and tell you where you need to go so we can be easy to get lost so your videos have been a great blessing thank you
I like how they handle it in Star Wars Galaxies better. (And I think someone ported the model into the X-Wing Alliance rebuild or it's at least on their website)
One thing that makes the combat of JK Academy so much better is the finisher kill if an enemy lays on the ground. The amount of fails I had when I tried to make Kyle swing the damn sword down made me really angry.
Even getting to the first secret can be a pain because you have to make that jump through the window perfectly, and it's so easy to overshoot it and fall straight down the pit outside.
Hello there. I recently bought the ps4 remaster and I am stuck at the tank-codes. I did everything like in the let's play, but the code isn't changing at the tanks. Not at all. Does anybody has advice?
The Lady Luck in here is pretty good but I like the way her design looked the screenshots I've seen of it in Star Wars Galaxies. More windows, full bar, not using up too much space on an oversized videogamey ramp.
You can fly the Luxury Yacht 3000 on any SWG emulator that has Jump to the Lightspeed. I know that SWG Legends has the expansion and any server that uses the expansion will have the yacht when you create your character.
hey man this is an old series now but its been so helpful so far i gotta say thanks alot you gained a subscriber here. by the way if you haven't heard of it theres a mod called movie duels 2 that remasters both of the jedi knight games, would love to see another playthrough
Unfortunately I didn’t think to shoot the boxes that obstructed the vent to find the second fuel area even though I saw it. From there I would not have expected the symbols to have any relevance since I had previously checked out that area and did not notice you could change the symbols.
Hello, I don't understand where is the way in dark since 20 years about. Even if I watch your video, I don't fit the good way. When i put the light highter, no effect.
Believe it on not, this was the level that got me into hacks for single player modes back in 2001. I saw where I needed to go, but I could never do that jump from 7:16. Maybe because back then I had a computer with 32mb of RAM and the game was laggy as hell, but I never figured out how to get in there without the noclip hack. I will now start a Single Player Mode from scratch.
Ow I had fond memories of this level, working with Lando was so cool (almost made me feel less bad about his douchewad betrawal in the originals), and yeah probably the ambushes were interesting to deal with at the time but I don't recall resenting this level for that. How many times did you have to record this to get to this take? At the halfway checkpoint upon reaching the ship it looks like there was a cut there.
I hate this level primarily because of the sniper placements, and the fact Lando can't fight well at ALL, and he dies all the damn time; despite using force speed to get ahead of him
That's true. Lando doesn't really provide much help and I remember that part of the reason I failed this mission so many times was because he kept getting killed by Reelo's thugs when they'd ambush us. Regardless, I'm just glad this level's over now.
Learned that this game got ported to vr, tried playing it and realized i don't remember where to go, spending too much time looking for where the heck you're supposed to go now while in vr is just pain.
Back in the day, I thought the visuals of this games, especially the cutscenes were of cinematic level... Anyway, what was the point of having the secrets?!? Does he gets any reward for this?!? in Dark Forces 2 Kyle did receive additional force points to spend.
This is maybe the level I underestimated most when I played the game. It's one of the levels impossible to beat lightsaber and Force only because you literally have to use explosives. And yeah, not a fun level, but I think the streets level is worse. The Cloud City levels seem to be amongst my least favorite though. Maybe except the first, but I'm not that fond of the other two. Anyways they are very tedious. Or maybe I just have no patience for a level coming soon. JimmyGGS knows which one.
The next level is one that I like. I also like the Bespin Platform level since it is also a boss fight. But the Bespin Streets level is probably my least favorite of the three. Not that it's bad, but it feels like it does drag on for a while.
LightningBoltForever Yeah, I hate how Bespin Streets is navigated. Platform makes a bit up for it and from there the game becomes far a lot more fun with no more Rodians lol. But with even more challenging Imperials.
Thanks man! I wish I could say I was having fun with this game so far, but there’s just too much stupid stuff that makes it annoying. At least I can maybe complete it for the story thanks to you.
I don’t like this level that much either to be honest. I can remember playing this when i was younger just wanting to get to Bespin as soon as possible where it would be “safe” 😁
I like the design of the level, for sure. I just can't stand the enemy placement. That, and the hordes of thugs that ambush you once you enter the starpad itself.
Easily this was the worst mission for me in this game I do my best and with success find my own way to complete a mission but this has me running in circles cause everything’s locked
Jedi outcast has to have the most unintuitive level design of any game i've ever played. How the fuck were you supposed to know that the grate was under the boxes?
Well, I loved it) Actually it's pretty easy. Although I don't love the fact that developers sometimes add stealth elements to the games that can't handle it good.

@@seanmckevitt8457 No trouble, doing them as I play through on this guy's videos
I'm checking your let's play almost every episode to find out what should I even do next. Seriously, game is so frustrating if it's your first try.
Agreed
True. I like this game but sometimes, level design suck and I don't know what should I do
Seriously. I feel like they could make things a little more obvious.
I love figuring stuff out but there's definitely a few bits where I just never would've thought of it. It's like tomb raider 3 in it's complexity, but it's still great.

Ty! Your strategy on the Lady Luck ambush got me through it on Master difficulty. Almost gave up until I saw this!
Bought this game for my ps4
Shit still incredible after 17 years
Hate that you can't move while scoped in
@@cosseybomb it would be a Lot easier so its ok to keep it difficult
Bought it for my Switch myself. Such a good game.
I just got it for 5 bucks on a ps4 sale. Much harder then I remembered. How did I beat this as a child lmao?
I bought it for my computer 3 years back never beat it I'll be Jedi Academy but I never beat Jedi Outcast I just recently bought it for my switch and now I'm trying to beat it Jedi Outcast for the first time
"Way to go, buddy"
I would like to see a film that featured LightningBoltForever, Kyle Katarn and Chuck Norris; it would be called 'Men of Iron and Steel'...
3:40 wow.. I always wonder why there was a dead-end room that was so unimaginably dark. There were some issues in Jedi Knight 1 and Mysteries of the Sith also with the lightsaber not brightening up the shadows in some spaces *makes grr face*
You have to use the light amplification goggles
Thank you for this! Some parts of this game are incredibly unintuitive, and I’ll probably be using your videos since they’re high quality!
At 15:42, anyone else see that thermal detonator bounce off of the explosion from another thermal detonator?
It was cool. haha
Oh, cool, The Lady Luck! I remember reading about it years ago in the ship schematics book my dad gave me! Never actually saw it until now.
I had a schematics book like that. It wasn’t ship themed though.

I thought the ship was very well designed, thought the fuel part was impossible to figure out for me
The Lady Luck is quite the cool-looking ship for sure!
I like how they handle it in Star Wars Galaxies better. (And I think someone ported the model into the X-Wing Alliance rebuild or it's at least on their website)
And again for the win!👌🏻 thank you these older games are amazing so much stuff
It might be somewhat a surprise but tripmines actually need to be tripped.

Man, this level is hard! Especially the Starport part and getting to that second secret.....
Even getting to the first secret can be a pain because you have to make that jump through the window perfectly, and it's so easy to overshoot it and fall straight down the pit outside.
The gran's death grunts are so funny.
Kyle almost had the Jurassic Park 3 "Alan" Velociraptor nightmare on Lando's ship. Must've been because of the roofies.
The rodian at 15:54 used to be a badass merc until he took a sniper shot to the knee...
A bad joke? :D I'll get mycoat and show myself out then... :D
Thanks again! I totally missed that box you could push aside at 13:09. XD
The lighting looks amazing on this, my game is so dark
i love this game but oh my god these levels are confusing as fuck
Great guide man, most helpful.
