Thanks alot for your awesome video, like you said most reviewers go over the pro's and cons and call it a day. i love it that you go over every detail.
I love that you showed everything in detail… closeups and great explanations. Amazing how well it handled the wiring and carpeting in your studio. You’re a very likable host, well done, thank you.
The new S8 MaxV Ultra does. I haven't had a chance to try it amzn.to/3YBY2um Have you seen my new video? I highly recommend this one. ua-cam.com/video/egSsTRA8wuw/v-deo.htmlsi=KmyibbDajkbf6Cil
Thank you for this amazing video! I just purchased the S7 MaxV Ultra this morning and been watching videos, I love the way you get in and show everything, most videos are justing going over the specs etc and not showing how it works or the small details. Keep up the good work Zach!
Would like to know how often do you have to charge the device after each job? How well does it pick up the long and light hairs from your family members and dogs??
It charges anytime in the base. Yes it's rated for Pets and family. It even monitors the parts and alerts you when they need to be replaced. The more you vacuum and the more wear and tear the more often you'll have to replace them. Hope this helps
I personally would set stay away zones for those after it is done mapping. I don't think it'll hurt it and most likely will avoid but just to be sure i would set it to stay away... hope this helps
Fantastic review!! Thank you so much! My main floor is about 2700 sq feet in total. Will this robot be able to do all of the area? Thanks again so much!
Oh for sure but it may need to re-charge and also clean the mop several times. It does all of this though by itself. FYI I schedule mine to run when I know I'm going to be out and I have even let it run at night although it works better in daylight.
@@Zachus Thank you so much. Also, I purchased my husband and boys some soap for christmas via your link and suggestion. Thank you so much for your great content!!
S7+ and S7+ MaxV Ultra are different. See my video here ua-cam.com/video/VyhKtQ13exg/v-deo.html I would choose the dyad. For sure do the MaxV Ultra though
Before buying, I fixed all my house raising & attaching lamps & furniture on the wall so they do not touch the floor. It enlarged the room and left the floor way easier to clean. But before buying, I searched for Service Centers in Canada and the USS. DID NOT FIND ANY. So, I won't buy until SERVICE equals Dyson, Bosch, Miele, LG, Samsung and the like. BEWARE and investigate. Simply ASK then where to go when a problem arises.
Hey Zach, Great review! Thank you for showing all the details. You mentioned that there is an option to go bagless, do you have more information about it? I couldn't find anything regarding it. Thanks 👍
I show this in the video 😁 I know it's long though. It does amazing!! It never got stuck which I was shocked. I let it go into my studio and you can see it navigate some crazy stuff... best robot I've tested so far.
@@Zachus oh, sorry. I could not see the all the video yet. I have a S5 Max and the biggest problem I have it id with its navigation. Even with furniture it could get under it (because of its dimasioms, like chairs), the turn ratio it performs does not allow it to get under it. I was hopping to see if S7 MaxV could solve that issue due to its better AI and right side ultrasonic sensor location
Oh I gotcha, yes, my Roborock S7+ that I did a video on had this issue, I sent it back, ua-cam.com/video/VyhKtQ13exg/v-deo.html But I really wanted to try this and it seems that they got everything out. It got closer to any edges of any robot, navigated some crazy stuff and never got stuck. I added Chapters in the Video Description to help find things 😁 for this video.
@@Zachus amazing, man. Thanks for answering and for the amazing review, one of the best in UA-cam. This robot is not available in Brazil, so, unfortunately, I can't get it at the moment. Hope this changes soon.
How high is the rug that gets vacuumed in the video? I have a wool area rug on a thick pad which makes it about an inch thick. I think I read that robots are usually limited to about a 0.79 inch climb. Is that the case with this model?
I used to have an s6 max, now I have an s7max ultra. It's a big disappointment for me, the little broom keeps getting stuck in the carpet, but that's not its biggest problem. I don't see the logic in cleaning it like I did with the old one. Many times it will start 20 yards to clean up a 1 square yard area where it has been before and then move on to another random area. He also often misses areas. I never had that problem with the old one. It doesn't empty the dust container at the end of the cleaning, only sometimes. What do you think, could there be something wrong with it?
Thank you for this video but I'll buy the Ecovaccs Omni x1. I just like their ecosystem and I've had 2 other Ecovaccs robovacs already and they really work for me. Plus, it's on sale right now at $999. Roborack still at $1300.

No. You can't put anything harsh like bleach but any floor cleaner that is light and made for that is fine. I recommend bona amzn.to/3ePenaO You can use any water. As seen in video I just used tap water from the sink
I have the Roborock S7, works good at the beginning, after 3 months broke, back & forth with the support, needed to ship it back, they said the wheels had issues, they replace, the shipment back was really bad, they used the same box i ship to them, now in bad condition, and they had one wrap that didn't really protect the robot, they didn't do anything else to please me, and when right after we started to use it again, the small side brush fell, i try to tie, you Loctite, nothing, keep falling and now i cannot find it anymore, Roborock wanted to give me 80$ and to fix it again, NO WAY, such a expensive product not supposed to break after short time, and the way they handle their customer service, I wanted them to replace or refund me, they are not willing, only to fix it, which I refused, i thought it will save me time cleaning, but i spent more time with fixing and talking to their support, i recommend a better well know company :-(
Roborock S7 and Roborock S7 MaxV are two different systems. I have a video on the Roborock S7 and I didn't like it. ua-cam.com/video/VyhKtQ13exg/v-deo.html That's why I was leery a little of trying the MaxV Ultra but works way better
I am disappointed with its obstacle avoidance performance when it comes to avoiding cords. It seems like the roomba J7 outperforms it in this area. You still have to babysit it. I’m hoping for some updates.. Also, why can it not dump the dustbin in the middle of a job? Its ridiculous that it doesn’t have this feature
