Imagine driving your boat through the canals of Amsterdam and suddenly you pass a tiny boat with Anthony Kiedis and John Frusciante casually singing Under the Bridge

John is a prime example of someone who can channel their emotions through a guitar. The way he plays truly is something beautiful to hear.

Something that’s so astonishing to me in the guitar’s part in the song is how sometimes the player brings out their own voice in the sound of the guitar. Sometimes it’s a scream, and sometimes it’s a whisper, but it’s always amazing how you feel like it’s as if your getting the experience of listening to a song sung in a language that you don’t understand, but you still understand the emotion it’s trying to convey.

John’s muting is next level. His ability to only let the right notes ring out is so underrated because he makes it look so easy. The main riff in cant stop sounds simple but getting it perfect is no easy task if you play it the way he does with the open D

Today, it is almost impossible to do that. now at 50, i could care less;-)

Their best songs include John's background vocals. His great guitar playing and the vocals are equal in making this band amazing. Thats why he's the best for them. Josh tried and did a great job filling in, but John, Anthony, Flea, and Chad are the peak Chili Peppers.

First thing I noticed with 2022’s newest RCHP song was the guitar … I was like “Is that Frusciante??! Is he back!!??” Sure enough it was, and I was over the moon! That’s how recognizable his sound is, and that’s how good a guitarist he is, deceptively simple but so masterful with his tone and free flowing licks. My personal favorite guitarist after Gilmour.
