The beginning and ending sound is a jaw harp. That sound id made by Adam Chance (also goes by Chance as the beat boxer's name is also Adam and is the bands co-founder.)This is done live using a looper only. I have seen these guys live and they are absolutely amazing. They can reproduce anything you hear in their videos live. They have a whole library of music. Pick any one of them and you will not be disappointed. Welcome to the rabbit hole that is Home Free.

Home Free is the best--period. It's easy to forget they are completely acapella and make all "instrumental" sounds themselves.
In this song they are making a distinct southern (country blues) presentation--it definitely fits the lyrics of the song. Chance doing the jaw harp sound really sets the stage for this song's story, which Austin's twang fits phenomenally. Tim's bass line completely grounds the harmonies and Adam's voice percussion simply cannot be beat. This performance highlights a lot of Home Free's strengths although they also handle ANY other genre just as amazingly❣️🎼🥰🎶❤️
Hope you'll consider checking out their Christmas videos like "Full of Joy", "Snow Globe", "Do You Hear What I Hear?", "Mary, Did You Know", and so many others!
Some of my favorites of their regular videos are "Working for a Living", "Good 'Ol Country Harmony", "Land of the Free", "Elvira" (with the Oak Ridge Boys), "Undivided", "Ain't Goin' Down 'Til the Sun Comes Up" (which is not on YT--it's on their official Facebook page), "Listen to the Music", "What's Left of My Heart", and "Understand" 😍!

Home Free is incredible. Everything they do is great. And although they are a Country A-cappela group, they can really sing all genres. They really all have great voices with their own specialties. Even Adam Rupp who started the group with his brother Chris Rupp. Chris left the group in 2016 to go solo but also to start other projects with his sister, among others.
Adam Rupp-Beatboxer but is actually an inhuman freaking good mouth artist. For me the best pf the world
Tim Foust- Deep bass but also as a tenor and everything in between is possible.
Austin Brown-High tenor, powerfull with his great runs and high notes.
Rob Lundquist (beard and glasses)-Tenor, with a voice like velvet, warm, rich and soulful
Adam Chance (back left, who is called Chance) - Baritone/ Bass, a voice so smooth and sexy. And who here also makes the Jaw harp sound.
There is no lead singer in Home Free. They look at every song whose voice suits it best, the best harmony, no egos, no rivalries, great personalities etc. Besides, they can all beatbox (see their live performance 9to5). ..
This is one of the many covers they do in addition to various originals, and each one is just amazing.
Take the time to discover Home Free because it will be a great tour. For me they are number 1 A-Cappella group
I'm a Home Fry from the Netherlands.

Home Free is amazing. They are all so talented. Austin (lead here) is a great singer and can also do a harmonica and will do it live on this song. Tim, the bass, has a 5 octave range so he can go super low and then sing up with the tenors. Rob (glasses) is a great singer. Adam, the beatboxer, is a freak of nature and an award winning beatboxer. Adam Rupp Drum Solo (2015) to see him with a mike do the drums on stage. Amazing. They sing all genres of music just let us know what you want to hear. And they also do goofy stuff too. Adam Rupp is the beatboxer extraordinaire. We call his invisible harmonica his nomonica. He can also sound like drum kits, scratching, birds and insects, jets flying overhead, and so much more. The bass singer is Tim Foust. He has a 5+ octave range. There's a live concert video about 45 minutes long from Morrison IL where,, after being admonished by his band mates for singing tenor up in their range, he start one note on a very deep low growl which ends up blowing out the speakers, to the amusement of everyone on stage and off. The lead singer here is tenor Austin Brown out of Tifton, Georgia. Their video Guilty Pleasures is filmed during a concert there and Austin gets to shine, with his goofy sweet self. The other tenor (glasses) is Rob Lundquist and the guy is the dark vest is Adam Chance, called Chance since there was already an Adam. He's only in one of their videos, as a party goer, before May 2016. Adam's brother and the groups go-founder Chris Rupp left then to do some producing, some solo work and sing with Cypress Fyre and with 7th Ave. Their sister Tristin is also in that last group showing that the Rupp children are a talented group.

There are not many bands where 4 out of 5 can sing lead !!! But these guys do. The others have also learned a bit of beatboxing and have had small duels on stage between each other.
Very special people with very special talents and very down to earth with a twinkle in the eye.
The five founding members were brothers Chris and Adam Rupp, Matt Atwood, Darren Scruggs, and Dan Lemke; taking their name from a boat owned by Atwood's grandfather who helped support the group financially in the early years
The group began in 2000 as a hobby for the singers, but they gradually gained in experience and popularity. By 2007 they had enough of a following to pursue music full-time. During this period, the Rupp brothers and Atwood formed the core of the group, with Atwood singing lead tenor. Other members of the group came and went.
They competed in an A capella TV competition "Sing Off" 4th season and won big !!! They won the TV competition the year after Pentatonix !!
Then Chris Rupp was also there instead of Chance. Adam and Chris started the group in high school. Chris is now making his own career and started another band called 7th Ave whit his sister Tristin Rupp (sister of Chris and Adam) and 2 others.
Here are the current members of Home Free:
Adam Rupp :beatboxer that’s leaving everyone in complete disbelief as to how he could imitate an entire sound system by only using his voice and is the best in the entire US and soon in the world as he continues to develop it. He started only because they needed one. He also has his own solos in the shows. It is only then that most people understand that it is his mouth sounds from drums, harmonica and lots of other things. He also has a clear tenor voice that is used a little now and then. Adams fellow band members affectionately referred to him as a “freak of nature.” because of how he transforms from a singer and vocal percussionist into a human musical instrument.
Born on April 23, 1982 Mankato, Minnesota. Graduated from Gustavus Adolphus College in 2004 with a music performance degree in trumpet.
Tim Foust: is not only bass but instead read 1 Oct lower than other men as the lowest tones are vibrations but the total range of his voice is a full 5 octaves !!!!! That is, from the lowest base to the highest tenors. He has also collaborated with a guy named Peter Hollens in songs like Misty mounten and Sound of silence. Born on July 19, 1981 from Lubbock,Texas but was raised in Nederland, a city in Jefferson County, Texas. In his early years, he attended Lamar University as a pre-dental major until the day he could no longer fight the music itch. Recently, the Nederland native was also inducted into the Museum of the Gulf Coast Hall of Fame due to his influence, talent and vocal range. He joined the likes of Janis Joplin, Tracy Byrd.
First sang with them as a guest on their 2010 tour. A Texas native, Foust was then pursuing a career as a singer/songwriter of country music and had recently released a solo album, but was not ready to sign on full-time. Matthew Tuey sang with the group in the interim of 2011, until Foust joined them full-time in January 2012.
Rob Lungquist: lead tenor with Swedish descended who has an angel's voice with a beard like a lumberjack! His second talent is to whistle tunes! He can also beatbox a bit.
Born on June 2, 1983 and comes from Minnesota. He has a bachelor’s degree in music from the University of Minnesota-Duluth.He joined Home Free after his graduating in 2008. He moved to Minneapolis, where he worked at the Guthrie Theater as a bartender, and he used to sing for a fellow Minnesota-based group called Four Shadow.
Austin Brown: High tenor with a unique voice that is finished with country stucco on. Absolutely incredible man. Born 22 maj 1986 and comes from Tifton, Georgia. Attended Oklahoma City University, majoring in Music Theater. In 2012, Austin was working on a Royal Caribbean cruise ship as a featured singer in their production shows. When Home Free joined the cruise as a guest performing group, they met and became close and he let Home Free know that he would be interested in joining the group if they ever had an opening. At the end of 2012 lead singer Matt Atwood retire and Home Free then invited Brown to join as lead tenor.
Adam Chance (called only Chance): baritone but also bass when Tim sings lead. We're just starting to understand his voice ability and wow what a voice.
On March 18, 2016 it was announced that, after sixteen years performing with the group, co-founder Chris Rupp would be leaving to pursue a solo career. He would be replaced after May 8th by Adam Chance, formerly of Street Corner Symphony.
Born May 24, 1984 Chance is a native of Baldwin County, right across the bay from Mobile. He stayed in Baldwin County until his early 20s. His mom still lives there until today.
He is a former journalism and music student at the University of Alabama.
All five of Home Free's singers have formal musical training. Lundquist and the Rupp brothers all have bachelor's degrees in music. Adam Rupp's primary instrument is trumpet.
Home Free's styling as a country group is relatively recent. Before Tim Foust joined the group, Home Free was an all-purpose a cappella group, singing in a wide variety of styles, of which country was only a minor one. With the additions of Foust and Brown, the group moved more in the direction of country and found that audiences responded well to it. Home Free had auditioned three times for The Sing-Off (without Foust and Brown) and not been accepted. When auditioning for the fourth season, they made a conscious decision to style themselves as a country group. In an interview Brown said this identity is what grabbed the attention of The Sing-Off’s casting director, who said, “You guys really fit something we don’t have.”
This band can not even been describe properly so ignore what title they are under… for them they are the only one in their category in the whole world !!!! Home Free converts songs to country a capella everything from Avicii - Wake Me Up to Johnny Cash "Ring of fire" etc.
To understand what these are, you should check out their live recorded shows… because you do not understand them before there. Their own song videos are absolutely wonderful. You can laugh yourself to death and you can cry from recognizing heartbreaking ballads. They have released 14 records from the startof Home Free and Home Free's 2014 album “Full of Cheer” was released as “Full Of (Even More) Cheer” in November 2016 and debuted at number two on Top Country Albums with 13,000 sold, the band's best performance on the chart at the time. But the album "Timeless" came in 2nd place on the country Billebord list the first week !!!! Everyone placed high on Billebord country lists at the record release. Then you should know that the fans are significantly fewer than, for example, Blake Shelton or Kenny Rodgers.
Kenny and The Oak Ridge Boyes contacted them and have collaborated on several songs
Their shows are so much fun and you get involved when you go to their concerts. Be prepared for lots of laughter. They do everything they can for their fans and the fans do everything they can to for the band. The fans are called “Home Fries” and there kid fans are called “Small Fries”.
There are many examples of how good and cordial it is between the fans and the band. The latest came up due to Hurricane Harvey. It hit where Tim Foust comes from and he has his family and friends there. They did not get much help. So Home Free started a “Youcaring” account where they deposited $ 20,000 and asked the fans to match… it took just under 4 hours and the fans asked them to raise the limit. They raised it to 100,000 dollars and of them we fans have reached this and find out via Facebook and pictures of how they where used.
They also made a song with pictures from the fans about this. Everything from that song goes directly to the collection. They work with people they know on the spot so they know that all the money that comes in goes straight there. They were surprised at how much the fans line up and helps with which they should not be at this point as we have proven that we help when it is most needed.
Another little story between the band and the fans happened during an outdoor show where they had to cancel after 3 songs due to thunder and rain storm. The fans gathered in a large pavilion to wait and see if they can play more. Then they see the band coming walking in thunder and rain up to them… stand on a camping table and say that they unfortunately can not continue the show but that they would occasionally sing an unplugged song that was incredible even before. This time it was accompanied by thunder and rain.

BE VERY CAREFUL! …. This group is extremely infectious! Called a country band, (completely inadequate description) can sing literally ANYTHING! They will bring you from tears of laughter to tears of sadness, with a healthy dose of chills and throat lumps along the way.
Try “The Butts Medley “, then go to “Brothers in Arms” and you will begin to understand. You just plain can’t pidgin hole their sound!
    Always different, always excellent!

There is a artist that I so whanna hear a song with him and Home Free! He is from Kazakhstan and is 28 years old but have been in musicschool seans he was 5 years old and told the teatcher that the piano was out of tune! He has over 7 oktaves range and can sing anything!!! If you whanna hear the worlds best voice (SInger) you should react to Dimash Qudaibergen! He have been in many contests but the one that made him famous al over the world over night was "Singer" from China in 2017! He was 22 years young theen and bearley could some enghlish and spoke Kazakh and russian. He sings in 14 languages and playes atleast 7 instruments also have doctored in music and composes songs to!
Tjhis is just the begining of what he can. I can say you cant judge him from 1 song becouse he dose every music genra you might think of and then some! He dose everything in his own way. He blends so many genras with his Kazakh style to.
He is called alien! Do to how he juses his voice and he sings in wayes that shouldent be able to. If you heard of the movie fifthe elementh and the song Diva dance (that actuelly was made in a computer becouse it was unsingible for a human!!) well he has sung that song!!!
But please start with his song SOS becouse thats his biggest song that he alwyes have to sing in conserts and becouse that song was his first song in the contest "Singer" from China that the day after it aired he hade to have bodygauards after that!!! When he came there no one knew him at al!!!! He came from Kazakhstan to China singing a French song!!! Even if you cant understand the language he sings in you understand the feelings he sings with! He is also the nicest human I heard of and speaks of peace al the time!!! His newest song he composed and it took him 3 years to do that and also did write the script to it and acting in it are his best song ever and the name "the story of one sky" will make you feel every word he sings inside youre soul! HHe alwyes sings with 110 % of his soul in every note and every word.
Here is the first 4 songs from the contest!
Episode 1 : 'SOS D'un Terrien En Detresse' (A Soul's Plea For Help) In French.
    ua-cam.com/video/cCwiZdFz63w/v-deo.html
Episode 2 :'Opera 2' in Russian!
The best moment in this show was just after Dimash started thanking everyone and saw his father there. He didn’t know he was there. Just after they got out of that room Dimash turns to his father and asks if he did good! When Dimash was gonna go in to the other contestants he again turned to his father and asked him if he done good! That’s the kind of man he is humble, loving and respectful.
    ua-cam.com/video/hPjEUoPg-ag/v-deo.html
Episode 3 : 'The Show Must Go On' In English You have never heard it like this!
    ua-cam.com/video/2P8QywsRRzQ/v-deo.html
Episode 4 : 'Late Autumn' In Mandarin!!! He learned this song in 1 week in mandarin to thank the warm welcome from the Chinese people. Gloria Wu's channel has back-story on what the song is about.
    ua-cam.com/video/E_KJsN3g7eA/v-deo.html
Please react to him!! He have fans in so many countrys and he cal his fans DEARS becouse he think of us as a dear family members. He is the most humble human I heard of!
Whising you a great weekend from Sweden

I love this group. That first sound is called a mouth harp and Adam Chance who also has a great voice is making that sound. Adam Rupp the beat boxer was a trumpet player so he has a great embouchure for making harmonica noises. They all can sing. That dude that raps is also an incredible opera singer. You can catch he and Austin Brown doing Nessun Dorma from the opera Turandot on you tube. Thank you for your reaction.

The vocalists are trained and incredibly talented. Tim Foust, the basso profundo, has a 5-octave range and also sings tenor. The two featured tenors, Austin Brown (the one in the middle with a hat) and Rob Lundquist, the bearded guy in overalls, have an amazing video together where they sing a famously difficult operatic tenor aria (Nessun Dorma) as a duet. It is astounding and should not be missed even by non-opera fans. It’s on Austin Brown’s UA-cam channel with a title like “Two Country Singers Try Singing Opera.”
Adam Chance, who is doing the jaw harp sound here, has a clear, smooth baritone that can be heard in their Sea Shanty Medley (which is really fun) and a Johnny Cash cover, Folsom Prison Blues. In the Sea Shanty Medley listen for Adam Rupp’s “castenets” in the last song. He’s always adding to his skills. (He also sings tenor when not beat-boxing.)

New subscriber and great reaction, too! I love it when people discover Home Free. They are a freakishly talented group of fellas! They can make you laugh sometimes, they can make you cry sometimes but they always impress. Here's a cheat sheet on the group: Adam Rupp, co-founder of HF and the awesome beatboxer. Tim Foust, bass. He has a five-octave range. Robb Lundquist (glasses and beard) Tenor Harmony. Austin Brown, Lead Tenor. Adam Chance, Baritone ( goes by Chance). Chance replaced Chris Rupp (co-founder) who left in 2016. Take Me Home Country Roads is phenomenal but you might also want to check out Dreamer, When A Man Loves A Woman, End Of The Road, One Man Band, I Swear, Blue Ain't Your Color, Dive Bar Saints and Folsom Prison Blues. For some funny ones: Butts Medley, All About That Bass, Champagne Taste, Hillbilly Bone. For some serious ones: How Great Thou Art, Go Rest High On That Mountain. When you are familiar with all the boys and their vocal roles, do Mayday. And last but not least, Brothers In Arms. It is haunting and beautiful. They have recently released several new songs that you will want to check out. Welcome to the Home Free rabbit hole!
