    LOL - Just did my yesterday. Much easier than I was thinking. Great video, Devon. Nice to have an updated tutorial! My only issue has been sourcing the DIY kits ;-) Thanks again, Devon

      The line in it was a bed skip on my old printer. Haven’t bothered re printing it yet. One day.

    New camera? Video looks super sharp. Huge difference to access the manifold in this setup versus the standard one. Had to idea to wipe down the color meter, I have to clean it every so often when I get test a failure.

      Why thank you! Slowly upping my video quality! A dirty cuvette can def mess with things! I didnt realize how hazzy mine was until i saw the new one side by side.

    Perfect, I just resurrected mine after letting it sit for 9 months. That was not fun but got it going. Great timing for this vid @reefdudes

    How often should this be done? Or...should it be done if we are still getting decent measurements? Thanks for the helpful video!

      Neptune recommends 1.5-2year mark.. but when ever you start getting wonky test results. I have heard of some going much longer.

    To pay Just over $600 dollars for this unit. I think the company should do this. Not selling a maintenance package.

      The company does do it, this is just an option

      Take a bit longer using the stock housing, but still not "too bad" my other trident in the stock case so maybe ill show that one day when i eventually do it :) its not bad at all to do.

    Can you tell me about your custom housing for the Trident?

    • @ReefDudes
      @ReefDudes  5 місяців тому

      Someone else designed the mini trident housing. This is my version to make it all vertical to fit my stand better www.thingiverse.com/thing:5440716

    does that housing really save any space seeing as the reagents are next to the unit? Footprint must be similar or bigger?

    • @jjmccloud
      @jjmccloud 5 місяців тому

      You can see his mounted towards the end, I'd say it does, while the actual footprint if you include reagents are probably close overall it's still a less but also it allows you change the places you can put it.

    • @Sammy31Dee
      @Sammy31Dee 5 місяців тому

      Yea same size footprint....maybe more....just add a shelf for the trident folks....it's not that intrusive....especially if you don't have 4 other auto testers next to it like Dev lol

      @@Sammy31Dee lol Space is limited in my stand.. its like a Tardis.. i keep finding ways to fit stuff :P

    • @ReefDudes
      @ReefDudes  5 місяців тому

      Not Tons but a bit, all depend on how much space you have to work with :P as you can tell i have alot crammed into that tiny cabinet
