This has got to be one of my favorite scenic camping spots.

hiya john just a quick tip i work on repairing fabrics we use duct tape and gaffer tape the trick is cut your tape into circles two per hole one outside one inside then place it between 2 towells and iron no steam this warms glue both sides stops any tear travel and coz its round no corners to catch n keep peeling up on you on the tarps really doz work

Epic video John, quite the variety in one video. Great to see Tim & Adam out again. I have a pair of 2 inch thick granite cooking stones. Warm them up to 500 deg f, then cook on them like you did your salmon. Thank You for sharing your video, and bringing us along. ATB

Another great video. Looking into this village thing near me, as just starting out and kit is building up slowly so hoping to go out in better weather. You guys who do this down to zero temp really gives me motivation but I guess you've been at it for years unlike me never been camping I'm such but really looking forward to it and with your videos it's an Aspiration fpr motivation. G'day from Adelaide. Great video John and it's great to see Tim and Adam as well, love the chatter and loved seeing the snow too. Here in Adelaide, South Aust we don't see too much snow unless you live in the Adelaide Hills otherwise no, no snow. So it was good to see.

Brilliant video John, I see you`ve had a change of sleeping on the ground instead of your hammock , your camping stove is great it look like Tim was going to fall in. I like your spoon who made it , you had a nice warm cup of coffee waiting for Tim. you and Adam at the new moss shelter it look great .It look better than the old moss shelter I Give it 100 out of 100.

Very enjoyable video John ! Good camera work really like seeing the flowers and mushrooms you show in each area you go to and the sunsets ! John I am so sorry to hear about your accident with the pot with the plastic handle and Tim run in with the stone shard ! I had a similar experience when I was around 12 my cousin and I made torches out of milk jugs on the end of a stick and set fire mostly just to hear the funny sound it makes when the plastic drips ! My cousin stumbled on the path we were on and the hot plastic got slung onto my hand so I know your pain maybe not quite as bad as yours ! Enough story time ! Thanks for all the fun times ! It makes my day to watch one of your videos ! I really like the longer ones better ! Cheers from Fort Mill SC

The best way to deal with nettle rash is to pick another nettle leaf, then screw it into a ball and rub on sore area..this really works fast as the antidote is also present in the leaves..try it next time!

I like your style of videoing, showing the surroundings, zooming in on interesting things. The camera is on things that I'd be looking at if I were there. Lots of bushcrafters treat a selfie stick like that's how it's to be used.:D

at the time of my watching this vid the temp was -8 C and it's early afternoon here in Iowa, we have alot of snow here with more on the way over the next few days. looks like you 2 had a great time!!

Love that slomo river. I've spent most of my life as a ground dweller, and the last four years alternating between tree and ground dwelling (having been pestered into trying a hammock - thanks guys, hammocks are great)...found I love both. And I think I've missed this season's cold camping due to the three p's, my bad. You're in an enviable position of having permission, so you keep up having the kind of fun the rest of us have to steal. No jealousy, just glad you can. Nice that a few of us can, the rest of us enjoy those moments we can (cos really, they're just as good, just stealthy) ;)
And, after all these years, I reckon sharing a night out with friends is better than solo camping. Just my observation.
