Hi friends! In today's video I am showing you my process on how to paint fabric shoes with fabric paint. I am going to paint wild flowers because, honestly, it is the easiest composition to paint.

Hi! Will the paint wear out if you wash the shoes? Been watching tutorials so I could restore my old shoes.
I haven't washed the shoes, but I've used the same paint on a t-shirt and it's holding up really well wash after wash - hope it helps 👩🏽🎨🙏🏽

Question: Does the paint make the shoe more stiff?
Thank you :D My mom actually has these shoes, I'll ask her how well they are wearing and if they feel stiff at all.

Hi, I really liked your video and how you share every knowledge that you have, thank you so much 🥰
I have a question: last year I painted a pair of old Vans with water based colours; it was written that they had to be ironed after 24h, but I never did it, although they were exposed to the heat because I used a hairdryer between a layer and another. I haven't then put any sealer because I didn't know which one to use for water based paint, but now I'm too scared to use my shoes! Should I iron them even if more than a year has passed? Should I put now the same sealer that you used? I am afraid that it will melt the paint 😥

Hi Valentina, When I painted these shows I didn't realize that the "ironing" instruction were ONLY for the Plush series of paint (The blue paint is the Plush one) - The ironing just "activates" the plush effect, so if you are just using fabric paint like I did, there is no need to iron it and it should not ruin the shoes. I have used the same paint in t-shirts and I did not Iron it to seal it and it looks great - the paint didn't run after I washed it or anything like that.
I would say that I am very certain that you don't have to Seal them like I did, they should be just fine.

@@LoveLetterstoMilo Hi! I used the same fabric marker, Tulip, for sketch on my canvas shoes. But the color seems to bleed. I haven't sealed it yet. Thanks for the tip of using mod podge. Could I ask if you have tried to test for 'bleed resistance' after you haed sealed it? Thanks again! Amazing work!
Fabric paint vs using permanent markers/sharpies(?). Do u know if there is a difference when painting or drawing on this type of shoe?

I actually haven't painted shoes with markers, so I can't really give you an educated opinion on Markers Vs Paints
I used a marker for fabric, but I really think, once the paint is dry, a sharpie should suffice. hope this helps.:D

do you use any sealer on the paint after you paint them?
I do use a sealer at the end of the video. I believe it's also specified on the description of materials
Can we used fabric paint in shiny sandals also..?
I have not tried shiny sandals, but i don't think fabric paint would work - maybe try acrylic and then seal it?
Does the mod podge help in preventing the paint from washing off?
I think it does, though I haven't used them. I saw that from another UA-cam video

hmmm Rabeya - I actually have never painted fabric with Acrylic paint, but I am sure the Mod Podge sealer should work just fine
Must the canvas not be prepared with fabric medium?
I actually don't know, it was my first time painting these - I gave them to my mom and she still wears them with no fading or cracking - so maybe not?
What if we don't use a sealer? What will happen then? I don't have it...

Pues la verdad no he lavado el zapato, entonces no se. Pero! use la misma pintura para una camiseta y ya ya lave y quedo perfecta! osea que yo creo que zero estress con que la pintura se vaya a correr en los zapatos. estoy asi como 99% segura :)
