- In this video, I am sharing my technique for flowers and leaves I using my Princeton "Filbert" brush. I forgot how much fun this little brush is.
**Did you all notice (or maybe just me) I figured out how to create the little intro thumbnail? Exciting right? It's truly the little things for me.
This brush can be fun for many petals and leaves. Especially fluffy Peonies and Eucalyptus. Practice using the side of your brush, twisting it to get the broader stroke and the thinner line with the side of the brush. Play with it, and practice. You will find what you like using this brush for.
Before painting each day, if time permits for you (I promise it's worth it ), take 15 mins and do this warm-up with me before sitting down to paint; you do this daily, it will make a huge difference in your confidence and expression in your paintings. • Beginners #2: Daily q...

This whole painting is lovely but I like the way you did the purple chrysanthemum with this brush. I’ll have to try that tonight. Thanks for all the videos you do that help us so much in our painting journey.

I'm not a beginner but I have not thought about using this kind of brush. I have plenty in my brush collection, I just hadnt found a way to use it. Thank you for this tutorial.

It was so much fun using the filbert to paint a peony! It actually looked like one when I finished. I painted along with you and had a great time. The daisies are fun too but I also missed the point on my round brush. It’s really quite surprising what we can make with different brushes. Thanks Debbie, for taking the time to teach this. You’re such a wonderful teacher. I love how you explain everything. It’s amazing how you can take a brush you haven’t used in quite a while and paint such a gorgeous floral painting. 💕🖌️🎨
It was quite fun for me too, as I hadn't used this brush in over a year. I will be sharing a cat's Tail brush tomorrow! You will have fun with it as well. It is interesting how different brushes do give us the most interesting shapes. I tend to stick with my round and had forgotten how much fun these other brushes are! Hi Ann, I just dug out my cat's tail this morning and creating a video for you all hopefully today. Thank you for reminding me, It is a fun brush and a little similar indeed, although, I do appreciate the tip on the cat's tail much more, and feel it is easier for me to use similar to a round tip.
