A really useful review as I'm in the market for this Knox jacket and I use the Dainese air vest, which I would probably put outside the jacket to keep the armour snug against me. 👍
Good 👍 review, I would send it back for a replacement due to the incorrect stitched thumb loop location. I’m actually looking at buying one ☝️ but the utility model .Put the Airbag over the Jacket ( would be better - what about if it goes off it MAY not work correctly or ripe it up
Thanks for reviewing this. I was looking into getting this jacket, but now Im not sure what size to get haha. On their size guide a 42 chest is a large. Should I get an xl instead?
No probs! You want it as comfortably tight as possible as you don’t want it to move int he event of a crash- I have the air jacket underneath so I had to go a size up for expansion and comfort so Id go for the L but your body may be different
@@sergeantsodom6969 thanks for the advice👍 the xl actually looks like the right fit on you without the air jacket. I might have to ponder some more with the sizing haha
This jacket looks rad. Getting this jacket for sure, but unsure of which size to get. I'm about 215lbs, but 190lbs is my goal for the summer. What's your weight?
Theyre great mate, I’m currently 192lbs and losing still, its snug with my Klim jacket underneath so I’d see if you can try an XL for an XXL. I used to be 330lbs and was in a 5XL and that is now really baggy on me
6’1 190 lbs here with a 40 inch chest, I just found out the pit to pit measurements for the XL is 20 inches and now I’m unsure if I should go for the large or XL. What’s your suggestion?
As its a base proptection layer, the tighter the better so save it riding up in the event of a crash. As alwasy though if you can, try both- or contact knox for their opinion
Do you think this would be good for green laning/ off roading trying to find the best of both worlds. I'm sick of wearing a klim jacket, its like riding around in a suit of amour
Nooe an L would’ve fit me fine, however like I said in the video Im using an air vest underneath this garment. Hence needing a little extra give. Cheers!
im 5'11", However Height wont make a difference- with body types being unique to each of us, I have a longer torso and shorter legs where as other people may be the opposite, or anywhere inbeteween. I'd say order the smallest size using their sizing charts online- as you want your protective gear to be as tight as possible to stop any movement in the event of a crash.
Cheers for this, fella. I’m seriously thinking of buying one, because I’ve just had some birthday money and I can just about afford to put the extra, so this has helped. I’m guessing Knox replaced the one they sent you because of the thumb loop?
No probs chap- they’re cracking jackets- used them for years and can vouch. Knox were willing to sort this or give me money to get it repaired myself and were very keen to get it back to them for inspection- so no issues with them there!
@@sergeantsodom6969 Just order one as well and unfortunately also has the loop on top of my hand instead where the thumb is. Seems to not only be the placement of the loop, but more the sleeves are not aligned the same
@@sanderniesten5690 Very strange, Knox have been really good with me so give them an email and tell them about this case too so theyre aware there may be a bigger issue
Hey mate. Good on you for the weight loss. I lost nearly 6 stone and its the best thing i ever did. Good review & ride safe. 👍
Thanks for your review, I used your info to size a XL.
Fits like a glove and can’t wait to try it out tomorrow here in 🇦🇺🥇❤️💪🏼☀️
Any time mate. Cheers!
The vest should probably go over the Knox armour. Since it has to freely deploy.
I tried so many brands but for me Knox is top notched. Its the future of riding protection. Good choice sir
It falls apart Too quick for me

No problem! Yeah I do that with my own jacket
tnx for the review m8
Thank you for a great review.
Thank you for your kind comment!

Nice review 👌 I have just ordered 1 but not sure if it's a mk1 or 2 so mk1 is slightly bigger fitting ?
I'd send it back bc of that thumb grip!
would have advised you size up one because of the airbag vest to accommodate deployment. nice jacket though
I put the air vest on top, cheers !

E-Gads mate! No excuses for wrong placement of thumb loops. Other than that it looks fantastic. Aaron Knox knows better than this.
Tried exchanging the jacket because of the thumb loop or maybe re-attach it to a new position?
Was in contact with Knox just after this video was created 👍🏼

I think you be better keeping all the armer in and putting the air vest on the out side

Yes mate I’d absolutely recommend :) loved these jackets for years and layering waterproofs/jackets over is just a bonus
Your sizes you gave would put you in a large on The Knox sizing guide so is their size guard totally wrong?
Nooe an L would’ve fit me fine, however like I said in the video Im using an air vest underneath this garment. Hence needing a little extra give. Cheers!
Yeah nice jacket! how tall are you though, m trying to see if a XL or XXL will be better

Ok gotcha, im 6’1 but also have somewhat long arms are yours average or longer would you say?
@@TH-rs3fs So i've got above-average arm lenght for my torso size, but these fit fine - you should b good :)

I’m 5’9 about 180lbs with a 42 inch chest. How tall are you? I ordered a large I’m hoping I didn’t fuck up ordering a size too small.
6ft in gear and 38-40" chest - and it's a little too big for me
@@sergeantsodom6969 ok so I’m thinking it’ll be close but should fit snugly. Thanks bro
Hey how did the large fit? I’m your exact measurements?
Actually really uncomfortable
