    I've owned the Urbane Pro MK3 for two years. It is the best underwear in the world-lightweight, perfect armor, breathable, works off-road and on the street, and is the Best piece of bike wear I've owned!

      It's been great for me also. Especially on a hot day. 👍👍

    I've been using the Knox Urban Pro Utility Jacket for pretty much all of my riding, fantastic piece of gear and like yourself windproof over the top combined with a down jacket in between for them really cold rides 👍🏻

      Got to agree. 40+ years in leather jackets, but this thing, in Summer is bliss! 👍👍 (Down jacket - great idea!)

    I have one and love the fact you can wear any jacket over it, although I do have the Knox Dual Pro Jacket too. Like you say, the length of the back protector can be a bit obtrusive.

      There's not much to criticise. It's changed my attitude to protective gear after 45 years of leather. I have the gloves too, which are excellent. I will probably try other of their items in time. 👍

    Got the mk2 on clearance and upgraded the armours. Good piece of kit for those few overly warm days. It’s great for when you’re just riding all day but for commuting I do prefer just throwing a jacket on rather than the armoured shirt that makes me have to put my belt through. Great for touring in summer I imagine.

    Hello! I am an oddly proportionated bloke - - in cms. 177 height, 118 chest, 97 waist, 190 "wing-span" and 82 kg -- so I was wandering which size to order. I ended up ordering the XXL for the Knox Urbane Pro mk3, which arrived yesterday. I bought it online from the Netherlands (I am in Portugal so, since Brexit, I could not buy from the UK) but it is not so easy to find it available in Europe. I was worried that it could be a bit big but it fits me fine, just a tad loose on the waist, but not too long on the waist and perfect on the chest, shoulders and my long arms. First impressions: very good jacket, a bit warmer than expect when standing still but considerably more vented than my Merlin Shenstone which is also vented; quite comfortable; and it fits really fine underneath other non-armoured jackets. First annoyance: the internal mobile pocket is too high up and is too narrow and that makes it a pain to insert and remove the phone, especially due to the grippy case on the mobile. I believe it has potential to become my most used jacket. Thank you for your review.

      Cheers. Good input also. I agree the phone pocket is not great, I put my phone in the ordinary pocket, or if wearing a jacket over it, in exterior pocket. I must admit I had to try one on first, before spending that much money. But it seems to be true enough to size, for me at least. 👍👍

    Nox Mk2 was not flowing enough air to the back and in the hot countries like having 30-40 degrees celcius summers and it was making people to sweat while riding. How about this one, does it get enough air flow to keep us cool in very hot weather?

      Compared to my leather jackets it is superb. That’s all I can say. 👍

      He's not really going to be able to answer that reliably, is he? He lives in the UK.

    • @seauryakumar
      @seauryakumar Місяць тому

      I can somewhat answer this. If you are looking for a summer protective wear for summer days 40degrees or hotter, this is just okay. Nothing has been invented yet that can keep you cool and protect you at the same time at those temperatures.

    I purchased the Knox Urbane Pro Mk3 in July 2023. I’m a weekend warrior and I’ve put less than 40 hours of use on my jacket when the cuffs began to fray. I wrote the company directly as well as sending photos, to which they responded , that the frayed cuffs were a result of repeated abrasion from gloves, or likely wear from the Velcro closure on gloves. They said that they would not replace the jacket or refund my money. I was disappointed to say the least, particularly when “abrasion resistance“ is the company’s advertisement lead. Clearly, the material used at the cuffs is flimsy at best, and inconsistent with the durability of the rest of the jacket. I pride myself on taking meticulous care of my equipment, and for the company to suggest that the use of gloves on a motorcycle jacket caused this premature wear and damage is ridiculous and indefensible. These companies have a captive audience as well as regulatory capture to inflate their prices, and to advertise an abrasion resistant armored shirt that is now literally falling apart at the seams after less than 40 hours of use is shameful.

      Well, as I said before, mine has been fine. If it hadn't, then I'd take it back to where I bought it and demand a refund. 👍

    I bought Urbane Pro for my electric scooter but I think its a little bit overkill. For commuting its great but if you need to go to shop etc it feels like a jacket. Action pro would be perfect but armour is not that great, its too small and doest stay in place.

    I am curious, does it experience fading in color when exposed to excessive sunlight?

    • @CodgerBiker

    Thank you for the report, now I know how to wear the item of clothing. Off topic: You have jacket and T-shirt with the MZ logo. I grew up with this motorbike. Is that some kind of cult* in the UK? Greetings from East Germany.
    *I'm sure there's a more appropriate word.

    • @CodgerBiker
      @CodgerBiker  2 місяці тому +1

      Ha ha! I guess it could look like a cult. I had an MZ TS125 in 1984-1990. All I could afford to get to work. Very reliable. Recently my friend (who had stored it unknown to me) returned it. I have restored it.Surprisingly many parts still exist, even in UK.

    Go a size up in that dress, a bit of eye shadow, shave your arms and legs and you've got a party. 🎉
