Mine Roland still doesn't recognize the Ableton... I tryied EVERYTHING but this keyboard still on the "Please Connect to the PC" page...

In my version of Ableton, my Focusrite audio interface is shown as the Audio Input and Output device, NOT my Roland Fantom 06. Is that required? If so, How do I get that to show. My Fantom IS connected to my computer.
Thanks Ed, really nice video and useful as usual. I'm wondering why though, you did not change the sample rate in Ableton Live to 48kHz, as my understanding is that's the frequency the Fantom operates its samples ? Furthermore i had trouble most of the times recording from the Fantom to Live at less than 1024 samples buffer, so maybe you could also explain what are the settings to be adopted for best interaction ? ;)

Hi! I guess this is the same principle with the Fantom 0 Series. I was looking for a tutorial with the fantom 0 but I haven't found any. Can I use Ableton Lite with the fantoms or it has to be with the paid versions (intro, standard, etc.)?

Ed, since looking at several of your video’s covering the interaction and control of the Fantom to Ableton. It looks as though I will not need an audio interface like a Focusritte 4i4 for the interaction between these 2 pieces of equipment. I assume the audio output will be handled by the Fantom via its audio outputs to the Monitor Speakers?

Hi Ed, great video but it looks like there is still no driver available for MAC OS Ventura and Version 1.03 for MAC OS 11/12 is not working. What can be done?

Good afternoon Ed, great video!!, so I am having technical issues and wanted to know if you could can help me. I have the Roland fantom 6 I have followed every step from your tutorial. Now, Ableton is starting to glitch (I press on the keys on the fantom and Ableton starts to switch tracks). I see the Roland controller is being triggered on Ableton, but Ableton is still glitching. Some of my files have even gone missing. What should I do Ed??(Mayor production hold up). THANKS AGAIN!

I have reinstalled ableton, and also the driver from the Fantom.
That's great "Ed" but how do you set it up with Pro Tools (via Focusrite 18i20 for example)? Are you guys at Roland not interested in selling to or working with musicians who use Pro Tools?
So if I want to play a sound from plugins, or vst on my laptop, will I get that output from my keyboard to my amplifier/house system? Also, can I control the volume. With My yamaha, im able to play sounds from my laptop thru the keyboard like an audio interface. Is this possible.
Can u please help me figure out how to use fantom 6 with studio 1 to record tracks simultaneously at same time I have watched all videos and cannot figure out? I also tried with abelton to record track’s simultaneously tracked out but no success
Hi how do you set it up to BE sequenced by an ext hardware sequencer across multiple channels? Not written anywhere in instructions.
Is there anything I’m missing here? I got windows 10 and it’s says device installed but it’s not showing up with the fantom at all in Ableton! My Roland Rd-88 was no problem at all when I did this! Windows is supposed to do it automatically, when you download the driver for windows from Roland support, there is nothing in there except read me files.

Same here. After setting USB to VENDOR (see 3:30), and then pressing WRITE, then I had to reboot my Fantom. And I restarted Ableton many times, and it finally showed up in Ableton Audio Settings.

I'm trying to use my fantom 08 along with my Scarlett Focusrite i8i20 interface, but am having no luck. There seems to be conflict. I have been trying everything. Can't even get sound when I select Fantom as my input on a channel. I do not plan to use the Roland as an audio interface cause I need an interface that has a loop back feature. Anyhow, any tips on how to get this keyboard to work in ableton?

Nice, but what about the MIDI Settings? If you don’t set them up proper, it won’t work.
The video does say basic configuration. Maybe for the DAW control vid, Ed will do something.

If a Mac asks you if you want to trash the installer after.. it’s finished installing, you actually have to say No, in order for things to work
I can't believe that in a video of that importance you are focussing on apple. EVERYTHING looks and is different with Windows. Did you only learn Apple? I am heavily disappointed. I really expected more from a company like Roland.
What about windoz 7 and Linux? REFUSE to use win 10!!! Piece of CRAP!!
Live 11 requires at least Windows 10 1909. If you are using Live 10, Win7 may be possible.
