You're right! I had a blood test at my MD appt last week and she has me adding iron and B-12 supplement to my multivitamin. I'm actually a pretty good veg and protein supp help keep calories down but I've been having extra bleeding, I know TMI. 😝They did an ultrasound too, but I haven't heard the results yet.
Paul Chek was a veg as a child. He became anemic too. chekinstitute.com/blog/what-diet-is-right-for-you/ Someone from the Chek institute would prolly be able to help. They look at all factors of the body. Neuromuscular, physiological, energetic etc. Just advice
Yerr1337 and people say being a vegetarian and vegan people are soooooo healthy XD Women in general have often problems with to less iron and if you don't eat the right thing you have to swallow pills for it.

Those are some great inspirations, thanks for sharing! My issue with those is that they are very heavy on sugar. Fruit sugar, yes, but sugar nonetheless. What I do to pump up the nutritional value of my breakfast smoothie is to add one scoop of unflavored protein powder (whey or egg protein, I usually user Weider protein) and one scoop of green superfood powder (in my case and for everyone in Germany the best one is ORGANIC ALPHA). That keeps you full longer (thanks Protein), and has a much better antioxidative profile with all the algae, grass, nettle, etc powder from Organic Alpha.

They all look so yummy! Julia, do you ever add extra protein to your smoothies. I'm thinking that I would add some whey protein or peanut powder so I can fill full. I'm on a weight lost journey and I find that the fruit smoothies are not filling me up. What has been your experience?

Julia, thanks for the smoothie ideas & fun video. I'm always looking for new ways to make my morning drink. Adding granola is an interesting idea, I'm definitely going to give it a try. Have you tried making homemade almond milk? It's very easy with high speed blenders and tastes much better than the commercial varieties.
Loved all the combos. Could I suggest carrots, oatmeal, vanilla spirit and a little bit of shredded lime peel and favorite choice of milk. Then strain it and serve....trust me it's so delicious....oops and also a little sugar. :)
