    I have a 2006 VFR 800 VTEC with a full delkavic exhaust, pair valve removed,snorkel mode, power commander v with autotune.....
    This map ROCKS !!! I have tried a bunch of maps and none have come close to touching this one. By far the best I've tried,its so good i dont think I'll even try to trim it.The map vastly improved low end drivability and it pulls much harder all the way through to redline.The biggest improvement is the VTEC transition. The previous maps I tried had a dip in power right before the VTEC kicked in,therefore exaggerating the transition. The bike now pulls strong all the way to VTEC .
    The VTEC pulls harder and smoother than before, and as a side bonus my bike runs cooler with this map.AWESOME map!!!!!!
    Thanks dude 👍

    So glad to see there still love for the 6th Gens. I got an 2002 that I bought back in 2007. First bike I own (Not the first one to ride). Did all the mods you mentioned in the video except that I kept the stock mufflers and took the baffles off them (It was too quiet for my taste). I'll definitely try your map, because I'm running on the Cozye map right now. I'll say the Cozye map smooths the VTech transition quite a bit from stock, but its definitely not smooth.

    Just bought a 2005 vfr800 today. It was strange experiencing that vtec kick in. At first I thought there was something wrong with the bike like it wasn’t firing all cylinders. I finally realized that I just have to keep the rpms up if I want it to run like more of a sport bike and less like a scooter. That being said, you can look down and realize you are doubling the speed limit without trying to. I think one of the best additions to this bike would be a gear indicator. Anyway, I had to see what it would do, so I found an open stretch of unpopulated road and got it up to 149 indicated. I guess I should duct tape my phone with a gps app to the tank to see what it really does. It sure didn’t seem like 149, but who knows. The bike rides so smooth and brakes so well, all I can do is smile. I am used to my Indian scout 60. I also realized I have to get bar/clip on risers. That riding position is brutal on my wrists! I was hoping for more of a sport touring stance, but I agree with you that they are very under rated bikes. I can’t wait to get it set up better for me. Thanks for the vids! I think one of the best things about that vtec power curve is that it keeps the front wheel down. I don’t want to wheelie it because its a pretty heavy bike and I want my fork seals to last. Thanks again for the vids. Its always good to see what other people experience with your same bike.

    A little feedback about the map...
    I have an 02, stock air filter, Delkevic slip-on, baffles removed, fuel pressure upped to 42psi. I just bought a PCV, and it did not come with the O2 eliminators. Called Dynojet, they said they found the bikes run better with the stock sensors hooked-up.
    Ran the bike with this and 3 other maps, this one works pretty well. It's a little soft on the lower RPM, hard throttle application. I'm getting a custom tune soon, and it will be interesting to see what the differences are! Overall, this is a great map. It really felt great from the normal dead spot in the stock map at 4200-4800 up to redline.

    I don't have any issues with the VTEC transition, stock, but the biggest issue that I have with the bike is the infuratingly sensitive on/off throttle response. Just out of interest, what is the fuel economy like when you are on the highway cruising? It looks to me that at the cruising speed revs and throttle percentages, fuel has been added rather than taken away. So using more fuel in that cruising rev range around 4000 to 4500rpm and low percentage throttle position. A lot of the maps I have seen/studied have actually removed fuel in that area for better fuel economy while cruising at highway speeds.

      I also love the way the VTEC pulls you back, to me it's the personality of the bike so I don't wanna smooth it out 😂

      Yes, but you will have to manage the fuel manually, instead of adjusting via some click on the pc

    What octane fuel did they recommend you run with the new tune? I know the manual says 87.

    • @HeroRR
      @HeroRR  4 роки тому

      He only adjusted fuel tables, not timing or anything like that. So no, I continue to run with 87.

    The best mod I did to my VFR 800 was a gearing change. -1 front and +2 rear. It's an entire different bike.

      I need a new chain soon, was thinking heavily on doing the -1 +2, but I don't want my cruising revs to be too high.

    • @Misterlenon
      @Misterlenon 5 років тому

      i've not bough my VFR yet so i'm not sure , but you should look at your oil , "bad " quality oil can make it harder to change gears , if that's not it , check your clutch plate and springs , hope this helps!

    Why is the VFR800X not that popular? I'd like a Crossrunner as my real first bike in a year or so (currently have a XJ6S 2015).

      Bought a 2016 crossrunner a few months ago..
      I’m Really impressed,
      Mega comfy ,extremely flickable and as quick as my previous vfr’s (1997,2001) upto 110mph.
      Build quality is better than most but not as good the older vfr’s

      It's a VFR400 in a package not unlike an RC45. awesome bike, and a racer in every sense except for the engine. the engine does rev to 15000 RPM's though.

      Rob's Dyno Service. But you should try my map first, unless you have a full exhaust system it would probably work fine for your bike. drive.google.com/file/d/11jb6MPpFYoCmmzEfbJtOE7zCYbWSjyJY/view
