I spent some time looking for comparisons and details about quickshifters for the Honda VFR800 and didn't find any. So I decided to make a detailed install video.

Howdy fellow Texan and vfr800 brotha! I just picked me up a 14 vfr800 last month. Was laid down by previous owner and is missing both side fairings. My question is do I need the airdamns to put the fairings? I don't know what pieces I need. OEM is really expensive so been buying used plastics off ebay. Any help would be very helpful. Pictures or a video of taking the fairings off and what's on the underside of them would be best. Thank you sir.

I would love to see more videos of the VFR been thinking of doing some work on mine and taking it to the track.
Of all of the bikes I want to get, a VFR is probably the next one I will actually get. I’d like a mid-2000’s with V-tech because I like the way the pipes tuck up and I’d like to get the OEM luggage. I almost bought a 2006 a month ago but I procrastinated and it was sold. I would have like to have seen follow up videos on the VFR. I’ve been primarily riding an updated first gen GSXR and I think the VFR is a good fit for more comfort but similar power, handling and weight.
Wow... I am so glad my 2021 MT-09 came stock with a quick shifter!
Just as easy as mine to install, I went for the quick shifter over the Akrapovic..... bought the exaust anyway a couple of months later too....
The shifter works a treat 2nd to 6th and a bit clunky 1st to 2nd.
Perfect video, Got what I needed out of it. 🙂 Having the center stand helps for daily stuff, too (or stuff like this). Thanks for taking the time (and putting in the detail work on the edit!)
I basically have the same setup as you: OEM quickshifter and the SC Project exhaust. I still feel lack of power, so I ordered a Power Commander V.

The metal piping is the oil cooler line, not the coolant line.

Have you thought of doing a quickshifter install on a Pan America? I'm thinking on it fo my 2022 but considering knobby tires first.

Showing my ignorance but what about a quick shifter is advantages to a stock shifter? You still have to shift I don't get it.

I bought a bunch of bolt on parts at the start of Covid, for my 2012 650 Versys, should have done a series of how to vids but there were way too many swear words for UA-cams delicate sensibilities.

My friend just question is this gose both way in shifting or is it only 1 way which up shift only and then down shift we have to use the lever?

The base model in the states don’t have a center stand, abs, traction control, heater grips, or self canceling signals. Everywhere else in the world those all came standard.
Where do you buy your tank pad and side pad ?
I bought them from Techspec, they are the universal tank grips
Does this work on the 2014 model? Some sellers say it’s 2017 and upwards?
