Dude, just gotta say, you just became my favorite moto vlogger. I used to own an 85 VF700F, and just bought an 07 VFR Anniversary Edition (always wanted one), and I'm already in love with it. Its the perfect blend of comfort and sport, and you gotta love the way those V4's sound and perform! It's always cool seeing a vlogger rockin the same kind of bike as you, and it definitely helps when it comes time for repairs or mods. Keep up the great work man!

When you have VFR, it is eternal love when you can no longer separate from it. I've been driving it for 15 years, and no other engine tempts me. It is comfortable and sporty enough, and the design is timeless.

Nicely done Hero, that torque & bhp curve, is lovely, almost V-Max-esque. That family RC-45 heritage just oozes out with the cam whirling induction roaring rev build-up.

I bought a red 05 about 3 year ago, with 12k. It already had a smoke double bubble windscreen. Also it came with a K&N air filter, Power Commander, and 2Bros Slip-On. I have changed the levers and gearing, and did the pair, flapper, and snorkel mods, plus a battery tender, but that's about it. It Dynoed at 108, and I love the VTEC, YO!

I don't have any social media so I'll just send a message on UA-cam in the hopes of you reading this. Last year I bought my first motorcycle, the Honda VFR800 2003 and I have to say I absolutely love it. I am quite tall and this was the first bike I tried out where my knees fit perfectly in the frame. Now that I have seen some of your mod videos I am super excited to get working on my VFR800! Thanks for the inspiration and enormously helpful videos!! Looking forward to more of your content :D Cheers from the Netherlands

Lol yeah they would have been great "bonus" mods. I'm sure anyone who is familiar with the bike is aware of them though. I'm about to do the vfrness and dashcam mods soon. Do you have the model number of your cam system?
I'm also hoping to figure out a way to force some more air into the radiators/heads to help keep the bike cooler.

I just got an 04 VFR yesterday and love it. So much better street riding than the full out sport bikes that I've had before (CBR900, GSXR750, R1, F4i). After racing on a track, you realize that full out sport bikes aren't as fun on the street.

The gearing change is great. Next time I'm swapping out my chain and gears I'm going to trade in some top end for more acceleration. My bike has a cool top speed and all but realistically 99% of the time I will just be cruising along so in terms of fuel economy and low revving touring I will change my ratios to suit that riding style.

I have an 02, got it 4 years ago, my first bike and only had an hour of riding experience under my belt. I’m five seven and a 175 pounds. I was so afraid of it’s mass and size I didn’t even ride it for two weeks after purchasing. I didn’t go out and choose this bike. It was one of those “I know somebody who is selling their bike for cheap” kinda deals. I paid 2400 and it came with a helmet, only had 3500 miles on it, garage kept, had original tires still. Now I ride the damn thing all the time and I’m really happy I got it. It’s an incredible bike. Only time the weight is noticeable is when in parking lots and at very low speeds, once moving it’s all good. God tier bike, Rossi has one in his bedroom... so I’ve heard lol.

LoL... Try out an CBR1100XX... VFR is a midget compared :D I have one of those BB:s and it's just great. And weight is not really an issue... Honestly. It's just common to think that if a bike is heavy, it's not good... On the contrary, a heavy bike is a steady bike, and they also turn

G'day mate. Great work. Love the videos. I have a 2004 vfr and I'm wondering if you can help me answer a question. Why do they have a H4 headlight globe yet only use the low beam side of that globe? Is it possible to wire in the high beam side? I find the high beam side of things to be pretty average, the low beam side is great for a bike but the high beam not so much. Cheers mate. Oh if you couldn't tell I'm an Aussie.

Do you know if it makes a difference what season you dyno tune your bike. Such as air temperature being effected by the tune. If you tune your bike during summer and then it comes to winter will you be running more lean since the air is colder?
what is your opinion and or experience?

So how can this devalue the bike and what is the money? You spend 3000$, in the term of 3,4,5 years it is nothing, you could insted going to the bar and spend it on drinks, would cost much more😂. I just bought VFR1200X and doing the same, my blackbird still home, and in this craisy time of Korona, servising and playing with my babys make is much more fun going through!!!

The handlebar mod , makes front lighter.
The +2 sprocket in the rear actually shortens the wheelbase, as it uses more chain.
    ---------------------------------------------------------------
In terms of handling, these 2 mods compensates for each other, but both mods decrease stability at highway speeds, i mean it might tend to wobble when hitting potholes at highway speeds as not enough weight is on the front and wheelbase is shortened.
VFR's are very stable from factory so you might have enough room to not get into wobble, but if it does wobble, dont chop of the throttle, just duck in behind screen and gently slow down.

    • @HeroRR
      @HeroRR  2 роки тому

I’ve had no wobble issues unless I’m heavy on the gas and the bike power wheelies which is actually quite often lol.

Unless you are a collector and have very low mileage, upgrades when properly done within limits to make the bike better, you don’t devalue the bike. A dealer may tell you that, but thats to give you a low offer on trade. Adding distasteful or ungainly exterior mods will devalue the bike. Or radical color schemes, will hurt the resale value. Your changes are well accepted and would increase the value. Keeping the stock exhaust system to include in the sale also helps retain the value. Nice job.

Btw... Buy an Blackbird someday :P Cheap, ridicilously fast, and goes like a train. Grunt on that machine is just brilliant.
But a nice bike that that VFR. My friend lost his licence on a similar model for over 6 months :D

If you want to do something good with your headlight - then buy 2 sets of Philips H7 X-Treme Ultinon LED - the new version 2019.
Not easy to install, but definitely worth the effort.
    You will be suprised....!
Some of the best I have done on my V-tec :-)

What about the generator? It will eventually burn down without a modded cover.
