Thank you Maddie! Yes, I had a lovely time seeing Nicki while in Positano and we decided to hang out again and vlog together. We met for the first time in 2019 after Elizabeth introduced us and we spent the day on the boat and went to Capri for the day.

Hey, hi from Austin, TX. My wife and I were in Florence for the second time this last May. Was glad to see you both visited some of the places we did (same winery and San Gimignano) At the hotel restaurant on the other side of the river up on the outdoor patio, (Loggia Roof Bar)you both sat at the exact table we did. Small world. Also our daughter and her husband live in NYC and wife and I enjoy getting to look around thru your camera. Enjoy watching your videos. Keep it up.

Dana, it was so awesome seeing you in Positano after our time in Venice! We finished up in Rome for 5 days so we didn't make Tuscany on this trip but your video is amazing and we can't wait to visit this beautiful part of the country when we return next year. As always, your vlog is all about the place and not all about 'you'! It's informative, sensible, fun, and helps us all fall in love with the world one little video at a time through your eyes. We loved Montepulciano! They filmed part of Twilight there in the square and when we visited they were filming Medici. Also had the best steak we’ve ever had in a restaurant next to the square! Such a beautiful town!
Such a magical spot in the world. My husband I went and bought 28 bottles and we had to buy a wine fridge after that too :) Lots of Brunellos to have in 25+ years.

In OCT 2022 we did from Rome to Pasteum with stays in Pompei and Sorrento and visits to AMALFI, CAPRI and POSITANO. The trip and excursions were so great that we are back in Italy again following your guidance from ROME all around TUSCANY, 5/22 - 6/1/2023.

Yes, we definitely did a lot in the 4 days that we were there. Luckily, with careful planning we stayed in a centrally located area and it was just perfect. I am so looking forward to receiving the wine and reliving the summer in Tuscany!

Hi Mayana, thank you for the feedback! There are many options of activities to do when in Tuscany. You can bike around the region, e-bike, visit the villages and surrounding towns.

What a great vlog! My sister and I want to take my mom there soon. Did you find the roads to be very hilly? I can drive manual but get nervous on steep hills haha.
Not at all I did not find it in the area we stayed in. There are hills but they are not steep, many people actually bike the roads so it would not be very easy to bike on a steep road.

The wife and I are headed to Italy in October. Watched your video...very helpful. In the early part of the video, you were looking at a map of wineries. Where did you get that map? Thank you! I rented with Europe Car (liked them, no complaints) also they had a drop off location in a small town in Tuscany, I didn't want to drive to a busy place like Florence.. Also, it was the last company that had an automatic car. I would book that WAY in advance.

Hi Vivianna! Thank you for watching. You will have to check your luggage if there is wine. The good thing about that is that there is no limit on how many bottles you can take with you if you check it, as many as can fit.

SO awesome! We rented through Europecar. They have lots of pick up and drop off points! We picked up after our cruise in Civitavecchia and dropped it in Chiusi where we then took the train to Florence and continued our trip! We got a map at our place where we stayed and just used his reccomendations!

We are traveling to Rome and Positano next May. It’s our first time traveling to Italy. You mentioned having a SIM card. Would you do an information video on using cell phones, buying euros before we leave the US or waiting until we get to Italy, and anything else that would be helpful to know? Thank you!!
Hi Lindy, May is a great time to visit the south of Italy! We have been twice before this month and it is warm during the day and slightly cooler at night.
Yes, I can most certainly look into making a video on Italy travel tips. In the meantime, I would highly recommend buying Euros ahead of time especially if you can take advantage of good exchange rates as close to 1:1 as possible.
For the SIM card, we started using local SIM cards in our international travels recently and we cannot go back. It makes such a difference in your experience, especially with the logistics such as directions, reservations, cancellations, and data. You need to have an unlocked phone or buy a cheap unlocked phone in your destination and they will set it up for you and you need to show your passport. We use TIM when we travel to Italy and you can find TIM stores in major italian cities and at the airport.

Hey great video! How did you get the contact information for the wineries in the area? I'm going to Italy soon and contacting them in advance was a great tip.
Our host gave us a map with the winieries and phone numbers. It's probably online if you look at Montalcino winery map, and Montepulicano Winery map. Honestly I just called a few to see which ones had openings!

Hi Dana :) My husband and I are going to Italy in May and one of our stops is Tuscany. You mentioned getting an Italian SIM card for your phone. Is there any different from getting international calling from your cell phones service provider? I live in the US so our provider has an international plan. I was wondering if the Italian SIM card is cheaper or what the difference might be? Any help with this? Thanks so much 😊
Hi Melissa, yes the Italian SIM card is much cheaper and provides better coverage and more importantly and Italian number. You have to make sure your phone is unlocked to use a SIM card or esim.

There really arent many public transportation systems other than the trains into the towns, after that you are either going to have to rent a car, taxi or bike.
