It's adorable that the aliens' great theological advancements basically boil down to the Ten Commandments, the Golden Rule, and "my body is a temple." Buck may have lied for fame and monitary gain, but no one can ever accuse him of blasphemy or trying to start a cult.

Crazy how alien's deep, mystical messages ALWAYS follow human social trends, huh?
In the 50's, aliens had anti-Cold War messages, right when people were obsessed with the post-WW2 conflict between USA vs USSR.
60s/70s, aliens were all about "love and friendship", right when the hippy mindset dominated society.
80's alien messages were anti-nuclear, right when society was most scared of nukes.
90's aliens had a pro-environment message, right when the environmental movement had gone mainstream.
[Same with "alien tech"; Really early UFO reports, from the 1920's and 30s described UFOs with propellors, steam engines, and anchors lol. Betty/Barney Hill's aliens did a laproscopy- Cutting-edge (human) surgery, BACK THEN, but woefully outdated, even by the 80s. ]
It's ALMOST like the aliens have followed the exact same trends as every form of fictional story has followed...

I can't remember the planets and alien societies I visited because it's been years since I had this dream. I remember having a lot of fun though, and I woke up so confused because I thought it was real, lol. At the end of my dream, they gave us a choice:
    - Continue life on earth.
    - Live on the moon with access to the earth and other planets.
    - Pick a different planet to live on.
I chose to live on the moon because I didn't want to leave my friends and family behind for good. They also told me not to tell anyone about the whole experience.

I suspect the death date in the Wikipedia entry is conjecture, as it the birth. There was a Buck Nelson who died in California, but on 28 Mar 1972, 10 years earlier than in the Wiki entry. The California death record states that Buck Nelson was born on 9 April (as in the Wiki entry) in 1894 (one year different than in the Wiki entry), but the birth is listed as Iowa and not Missouri.

    • @erraticonteuse
      @erraticonteuse Рік тому

The fact that the Wikipedia date is exactly 10 years off makes me think that someone heard the correct date once, but misremembered when they put it on Wikipedia page (or told the person who did). The 1950 Census when he was living in MO has his birthplace as Colorado, but the 1940 Census (living in CA) has it as Iowa. The reason why I'm sure they're the same guy is that there's a WW2 draft registration with the 4/9/1895 birthday, living in the same CA town (Riverside) as the 1940 Census, with Denver, CO given as his birth place. I think he just decided one day that he'd rather be from Denver than Iowa.
I'm also pretty sure Buck wasn't his birth name. Despite being eligible for the WWI draft as well, he's not in the register. Maybe he was a draft dodger, but since "Buck" is way more common as a nickname than a given name, I suspect he was registered under a different name.

How nice that this random Missouri farmer has friend from Venice. :)
I wonder if his Venusian friends had anything to say on the matter.

On the map of the trip. Specifically the leg to Venus. That is close enough to the sun that you'll have problems not looking like a crayon under a blowtorch no matter what material you use. There is a reason why the James Webb telescope has 8 layers of insulating reflective sheets and the shadow side is half radiator grills. Not sure what is related only to instrument baseline calibration.

Aliens have a hard time connecting with people. Buck's story is similar to other encounters from the 50s when people were unafraid and more accepting of these aliens. Aliens are basically friendly, but people today are terrified.
I now of one story from the sixties of Aliens touching down on a country farm and the farmer greeted them the way the farmer would greet any visitor. The aliens asked him for water, which he gave. He noticed they were eating something that looked like a pancake, well they offered him one and he still has it to this day. Man was very credible and I believe his story.

@@FRN2013 Good message is good message. It's a part of the lie (Presumably) he said.
It's not an excuse dude, it's a part of the whole shenanigan that happened. People believed in it and they got fooled for it, nothing can be said. Any person would do that, why wouldn't they? It's darn effective after all.
I'm somewhat surprised that the things he propagated are actually somwhat good morals which can infact make a better life for everyone if everyone were to follow it. Of course there are some things that are not agreeable in what he propagated, but good message will always remain as good message. Whether you got it from an Angel or devil.

Buck Nelson's (BN) older twin brother was actor, Buck Henry (BH). BH was born in 1895 and yes, he was BN's twin. After giving birth to BH, their mother flew in one of the alien ships experiencing time dilation, which halted her pregnancy dilation and delayed the birth of the twin, BN, for 30 years until she returned to earth. In 1977, a documentary was released covering BH's time aboard the alien ship. The documentary was named "Quark" and shown as episodes between 1977 and 1978.
