the thing is, there are a lot of 3d animated films out there that have been criticized for being quick and cheap. but those are made by like, teams of people, specifically for turning out more money than they put in. you're one guy with a mocap suit and a dream. considering how you approached the book release, i know you're not really in it for money, so "cheap" turns from an insult into just practical usage of finite resources. this project is the definition of the accessibility that animation has been working towards for years. in my eyes you're already blowing it out of the water.
Quick and cheap don't necessarily make a thing bad. It is just that those qualities often accompany works generally considered bad art. Although how one can even define "bad" is a mystery to me. I prefer to scale things on how much I like them and leave it at that.

I’m not an expert on this topic and I know it’s unfinished, but I think one of the most important things to focus on with the animation is the lighting. Thanks so much for your support, and for taking the time to watch one of my videos. Hope you're having a great week! Take care.
From what we see of the movie here, I can tell I am going to love the performance of Atlas (the god, not Jim). He says all his lines in an over the top way that is just so endearing. Just the way he says "evil" is awesome.
Looks pretty cool. I like what i know of story and voice acting. But the animation kinda looks like a slightly better version of food fights animation. I'm glad to know any issues will be lessered or even straught up removed in the final film. And you are amazing for tackling all of this while dealing with hart failure. And the bits of Catman show ive seen from the pilot and animation shown at the end of this video looks great.
This was really encouraging, I am wanting to get into digital art again, and I am saving up to get the pc, with the equipment and get back into digital art. Years ago I tried it out and got stuck, and gave up on it, but ever since I have been wanting to get back into 3D all over again. So this was very encouraging, and it's always said to do what you love to do, and I love everything about art doesn't matter traditional to digital! SO I am going to do everything I can to get into 3D, digital art in general, and just follow my passion! Thanks for this!
I remember finding out about your channel around the time you talked about public domain characters. And seeing how that spark ignited this project, everything you've done and learned across the way makes me happy and, may I say, proud. Can't wait!
I find this video oddly inspiring. Seeing you go through all of this effort for a crazy passion project gives me motivation to work on my crazy passion projects. Maybe, enough motivation to overcome my strict schedule and abysmal sleep quality and actually make something worth while. You have a rare dedication to the craft.
This is looking incredible! You are *you* and that's why I follow this channel! I've been following you for years and years now, so I really cannot wait to see what you've created. Everything you do has that touch of magic that's missing in the world right now. Keep it up - for as long as you wish and can, of course! :)
AUSTIN: Hmmm, it would be kind of fun to make an animated movie about an old public domain super hero... EVERYONE: That sounds kind of diffi-- AUSTIN: Imma do it! Props to you, bro. So many people fantasize about actually creating this type of thing, but so few people actually see it through. Good luck and keep up the awesome content!
In 5 years I will look back and appreciate watching this video as a crucial turning point in my personal journey. Thank you Austin, for your work and your inspiration.
Had to switch UA-cam accounts back some time last summer and haven’t kept up with Austin’s work. Just came back to see this, and I just… wow. The ‘never animated before at all’ to ‘feature film’ jump is beautiful. Genuinely, legitimately super impressive. Super excited!
I love what you're doing here with Atlas! Your creative pursuits have been so inspiring and relatable to me over the years since I started watching, nice to see that going strong.
This is an amazing undertaking and I'm much impressed. As a small aside - the Greek god Atlas in that story sounds like historic celebrity body-builder Charles Atlas (who for many of us is just a line in a Rocky Horror song).
The weirdest thing about the Atlas plot is how doing constant exercise on a ranch in Arizona somehow fixes Jim's eyesight problems to the extent that he no longer needs glasses.
While I myself am not in a position to offer any monetary aide, I want you to know that I am offering all of the moral support that I can and I love everything about the Superzeros universe. You are doing everything that I wish I could and I highly encourage you to keep going. I admire your commitment and passion for creating and making something that you can be proud of. Keep up the good work Austin.
obviously these are WIP shots but this reminds me so much of the direct to dvd animated movies from my childhood, and I mean this with pure affection I loved those things, its genuinely so fun to see a low budget 3D animated movie with little to no corporate supervision again
You know, Hercules could always be a guy he fights at one point in the future. Hercules and Atlas tricked each other over who would hold up the heavens when Hercules was doing the 12 labors.
Your efforts and creations are just as valid as Batman and other major properties. It must be remembered that those things started off as small things that few people cared about. It was quality, and honestly, luck, that allowed them to become the behemoths that they are today. Maybe your stuff will become giants, or be forgotten. Either way, you cannot be faulted for doing cool stuff for yourself.

From what we see of the movie here, I can tell I am going to love the performance of Atlas (the god, not Jim). He says all his lines in an over the top way that is just so endearing. Just the way he says "evil" is awesome.
as an aspiring animator, you have opened my eyes to just how grand the process of telling the story you want to tell, so amazing!!
I’ve really enjoyed your journey with these superheroes and the public domain saga on this channel!
Austin is the kind of creative you just let do w/e they want. He's earned that.
Can't wait!
Excited to see how this is shaping up, I got in on the kickstarter so it's great to see it happening
I’ve been popping in here n there too see updates and I’m excited too see all your hard work in its final form!
It's really cool to watch a movie be assembled from the ground up.
It seems you really have nailed the “mid-2000’s Barbie movie” style. In the best way possible!
I've been looking forward to seeing this! I feel your pain in getting this completed. Keep at it!
@CodyVibbart I am still sharing your movie with new people. Can't wait for part 2. 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
@@massagebyconstance5665 Same!! My dad and I had a blast watching it together.
I love this, can’t WAIT for more, hope this is successful enough for you to keep going.
I honestly hope this new Project ACTUALLY gets some eyes on it. When it comes out. You deserve the recognition👍🏾
Dude, you are a hero, keep fighting through your recovery!
This is looking incredible! You are *you* and that's why I follow this channel! I've been following you for years and years now, so I really cannot wait to see what you've created. Everything you do has that touch of magic that's missing in the world right now. Keep it up - for as long as you wish and can, of course! :)
Aw, thanks. This comment made my day.
AUSTIN: Hmmm, it would be kind of fun to make an animated movie about an old public domain super hero...
EVERYONE: That sounds kind of diffi--
AUSTIN: Imma do it!
Props to you, bro. So many people fantasize about actually creating this type of thing, but so few people actually see it through. Good luck and keep up the awesome content!
i've loved seeing you realize your dreams austin.thank you for bringing us along for the ride. merry christmas
In 5 years I will look back and appreciate watching this video as a crucial turning point in my personal journey. Thank you Austin, for your work and your inspiration.
The amount of effort you're putting into all of this is incredible honestly. Im greatly looking forward to the full release.
ngl, totally flattered that my character is featured right at the front of "The Players" section even though this production is STACKED with talent.
10:09 damn….THATS A GREAT PHILOSOPHY 🎉😂
but in all seriousness, this is a great video. The entire process sounds exhausting yet inspiring
Super proud of my colleague Cat Pratono being in this, shes an awesome VA
Had to switch UA-cam accounts back some time last summer and haven’t kept up with Austin’s work. Just came back to see this, and I just… wow. The ‘never animated before at all’ to ‘feature film’ jump is beautiful. Genuinely, legitimately super impressive. Super excited!
Thank you for boldly going where few creatives have gone before.
I love what you're doing here with Atlas! Your creative pursuits have been so inspiring and relatable to me over the years since I started watching, nice to see that going strong.
So AMPED, love all the hard work you have been putting in - it truly is inspiring. Cheers from South Africa
South Africa! Wow. Thanks so much more watching my video. Hope you're having a great week!
Keep up the great work Austin! Can't wait to see the movie!
Hey Austin! So happy to see you so excited about your work! Keep it up!
Austin: Why not?
Congratulations! This is a huge accomplishment.
Love all the effort you've put into this and the seeming joy it brings you, good luck kicking its butt in 2024!
Looking forward to seeing it!
Austin, never stop creating things, because as long as I'm on the planet, you'll always have somebody to watch them!!
“Show him with muscle” goes so hard bro
obviously these are WIP shots but this reminds me so much of the direct to dvd animated movies from my childhood, and I mean this with pure affection I loved those things, its genuinely so fun to see a low budget 3D animated movie with little to no corporate supervision again
You know, Hercules could always be a guy he fights at one point in the future. Hercules and Atlas tricked each other over who would hold up the heavens when Hercules was doing the 12 labors.
finally someone who uses the correct version of the name!
@@Planet.Xplor3r
I have edited it to Hercules because I will find your suffering funny.
😭@@CamelotGaming
Great job Austin! Don't give up!
ok, added my kickstarter pledge. This whole superzeros idea is ridiculous, and I love it - let's gooooo!
The "I'm not wearing my glasses" joke is pretty good, not gonna lie.
