Thanks for sharing. One little tip: undo the pulley bolts just a bit with the belt still on. This way the pulley is held in place and you don't need anything to block the pulley.
Got a major coolant leak on mine and I suspect the water pump so might need to do this job after a bit of further investigation. Good tips @MotorScotti and @ryansheffield4340 about leaving the belt on before loosening the pulling bolts. The Workshop manual says it can also be locked in placed with a 6mm key.
Good video, but the body of water pump and pulley attachment has not been tightened to specs because the workshop manual states what specs these bolts should be tightened to. To prevent future leaks please always torque to specs.
U should do a lil more video shots of where the tension pully was to remove the belt..and then u should have losen the nuts on the water pump pully before u took the belt off lol

My thoughts exactly and wear your camera on your head next time
If the belt stayed on, my one fell off! :(

Cool story you don’t work on cars! If your a experienced mechanic you don’t need a torque wrench to tell you 15 ft lbs but go on and read your manual
@jeremyhueneka7115 does the guy in the video look or does things like an experienced mechanic?
Thanks for video!!
My XF has extra pipes in front of the water pump that wont come off, compared to yours. Did they make different versions of this engine?
Is this a 2.7 d?
