    Jason, bro, your explaining is on point. Its quick, easy and made well enough that it doesnt hurt the eyes. I would love if you made more tutorials. All that is needed is better lighting( lighting needs to be more spread out and some parts of the vid look very bleached out), and some added visuals. Nevertheless, its done quite well. Please do more of these, trust me, you'll get higher up the more of these vids you do.

      Thanks for the tips! I have some ideas for more tutorial videos but I've been really busy lately so haven't been able to make them. And I don't really have any kind of proper lighting setup but I'll see what I can do!

      @@JasonDrossis for lighting, you dont need to have several expensive softboxes. You can use two lamps that are diagonally placed slightly above your head in the shape of a V (in basic terms). What I used to do with shoots was grab to desktop lamps with white LED bulbs and stretch a bag on the lamp opening. This would spread the light out more evenly and was a decent cheap alternative before I got anything good. Check out something about cheap photoshoot lighting on yt. Also, in a little bit more advanced editing softwares, you can color correct or maybe just play with the colors a little bit to make the video look more vibrant, but at the same time more humble and appealing. Some visuals like hand movement pictures or anything of that manner might severely help with some explanation too. Anywho, theres nearly nothing the internet cant help with, if you need an example, Samus has the visual format that I would suggest you try out. Good luck!

    Seems like I get way to much noise from the rim when I try this, not sure how to decrease that.. 🤔

    • @JasonDrossis
      @JasonDrossis  3 роки тому

      The trick to that is holding your stick at the right angle on the downstroke! There's always going to be some noise from the rim, but you can minimize it if you hit the head and the rim at the same time

      @XXIII_89 3 роки тому

      @@JasonDrossis Yeah, looks like you have your fingers pretty close to the rim on impact compared to what I was doing, that seemed to help, plus practice combined with really getting into it, the rim sound almost disappeared. You should do a video with a groove or 2 that work good with that technique. That could help to practice the technique, too, I bet.

      @@XXIII_89 Nice, I'm glad that helped. Practice is definitely the most important thing! And that's a good idea, I have some stuff planned for a part 3, I've just been busy lately and haven't been able to make it
