"Bye." will suffice. Great vid!
Ahhh the fingers bring it back to the head. Gonna try this later, thanks
Yep, that's the trick! Hope it helps :)
I cannot thank you enough for this tutorial! I play match grip as well as "orthodox grip", and have only seen this done by people who play only orthodox grip. I can't get it down to the "T" using orthodox grip. Your instruction is exactly what I needed to learn how to do the gravity blast!! GREAT video! Thanks!!!!
It takes a bit of practice to get the grip right but hopefully this helps! :)
Thank you for the lesson
Clear, concise, direction here. Excellant communicater. Thankyou sir.
Flawless explanation, this is the best video about what Gravity Blast is.
thanks man!!!!
Trying to finally get these down after years of wanting to. Good vid. Be interested in part 2!
Thanks! I hope this helps you get there!

one of the best videos on gravity blast...How about the bass drum?
Thanks! Maybe I could do that in the future
Omg. I had the crap style going 7 years ago. Thank you
Thanks for the tips I've been trying to learn gravity blast for a while now and this really helped! But when I do them they're really quiet, is this normal for the learning process or am I doing somthing wrong?
Yeah thats totally normal, it takes a lot of practice to get them louder, and they'll never actually be as loud as your normal snare hits unless you use a trigger. Check out part 2 for some tips to get them louder and more consistent!
@@JasonDrossis thank you so much man i will!
Would a snare with a deeper rim make this more difficult?
I tried this on my other stick (i didnt have a fulcrum) and i couldnt do it, when i pushed up with my fingers it made no second sound, i don’t understand it
Very sorry to be destroying the 666 likes and thanks for the tutorial man!
So.. You mean its like by doing this I can get two hitting sound from one strike only? 😳 😳 😳 😳 😳
does the stick drum affect?
You might have to hold it in a different spot, but any stick will work!
I don't know about the types of drumsticks
I usually practice drums by renting a music studio
sticks in the music studio usually feel heavy
any suggestion?
@@adityanugraha3140
If they feel too heavy, you can try getting something lighter. If you have a music store near you, they usually have all kinds of drumsticks you can try out. I use size 5B drumsticks, but if you want something even lighter you can try 5A. Although for metal music i recommend using 5B or heavier. These are the sticks I use: www.amazon.ca/dp/B000EEHKFU/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apap_n4hQfKdYMoL9y
How do you avoid touching the rim of the snare
You can't actually avoid touching the rim. The trick is to hold the stick at the proper angle so that it hits the head and the rim at the same time, then you won't notice the sound of the rim
I keep hitting the rim of the snare
It takes some practice but you just have to get the angle of the stick right so that it hits the head and the rim at exactly the same time.
ua-cam.com/video/Oe8XKgOuNtk/v-deo.html so can we say that Mangini brought it up the "gravity blast"!!!? It's almost there.
I’ve never understood the term gravity blast. Doesn’t have to do anything with gravity at all. Should have been called fulcrum blast
Bye 😂
those who cant do teach gravity blasts
