Happy new month tochers!😂❤️
My man! You're amazing.❤️
I noticed I forgot to state that you started on the "A" of 1..
But it's all good I guess😅🤦🏽♂️
Tochers?! 😅 Wow we have a name now😂
Happy New Month to you too brother
I guess I’m late to this video but Calving Rodgers played the never again by James Fortune. Because I heard “Calvin let’s go” at the beginning 😃😃😃
No you're not late & yes you're correct!
It's Calvin Rodgers that played the song.
I love the last one ❤️
An eye opener..Thanks a lot..
Glad to hear that! You're welcome! ❤️
Great explanation and demonstrations of the various orchestrations for the paradiddle diddle. Excellent excellent excellent!
Glad it was helpful! 🙏🏼 ❤️
Love your teaching approach. ¡Gracias!
Glad to hear that! You're welcome! ❤️
extremely helpful!!!
Hod blessyou bro!! Ive been wanting to learn this for ages. Ive always wondered what these guys were playing and have found 8t difficult to break down but you made it so simple. Here in Ghana, lots of the drummers dont want to show orteach us these things because some of them think you will out play them or become more popular than them but you are sharing freely. They'll rather make you pay for lessons and they wont teach you some of these. God bless you. I'm going back to practice.
The drummer on the James Fortune song is Calvin Rogers
Yessir
I needed that, thank you for sharing
You're welcome!
God bless you boss
The last two applications sounds great
God bless you too man!
Great to hear
Our are a very good teacher❤🎉
Great work. Well explained
Thanks a lot Sir 🙏🏾❤️
Yeah thanks Toch, that is cool with all those orchestrations. Off course this is a six note pattern which one could think of as representing the 24th note or sextuplets subdivision, which is a major subdivision in contemporary drumming.
So I guess it is no surprise as such that it is so cool, but, the Paradiddle-diddle sticking itself with two singles and two doubles lends itself to a potential for some serious drumming chops.
However if you want to turbo-charge it, I would suggest this addition. Currently we have a group of 6 notes RLRRLL, so I would suggest staying within that subdivision of sextuplets as a group of six within one quarter note pulse with the addition of two grace notes on the bass drum at the start of the phrase like this (k=kick):
kkRLRRLL
Still played as a six note group but adding those two grace notes at the beginning on the bass drum, it like turbo-charges the phrase with the low end from the Kick, and combining hands and feet gives it an even more powerful orchestration, as it becomes a RuffParadiddle-Diddle.
You can think of it as a ruff rudiment but played with the bass drum like kkR. That three note figure kkR is one quarter note. Therefore with the whole phrase of kkRLRRLL, one can use all the orchestrations around the drums in the video, but you will get two extra bass drum notes in the phrase for a whole other dimension of punch, power and bottom end. At a fast tempo playing around the drums it give you a lot of chop bang for your buck.
Try it and see, I guarantee you will love it!
Man! 😅
I can imagine how long it took you to type this.
I initially didn't get it, but by the time I did, I discovered that I use it very often. I just forgot to teach it in this video.
Thank you so much for your contribution. It's really appreciated! ❤️
@@TochSticksMusic No worries did not take long as I am on my laptop and just typed it in Word then cut and paste into the thread, you should make an amendenment to the video cause it is super cool with the kick 🙂
I'd cover that in another video man! ❤️ Thank you! 🙏🏼
Excellent video, I just subscribed ! Thanks for this material bro!
Thanks for the sub!
&you're welcome! 🙏🏼 ❤️
Hey, maybe you could also do a video on backbeat fills, the ones where you keep the 2 and 4 backbeat while doing the fill. Like the one you did in 7:43.
Very explanatoryyyy 🙃🙃
Thanks bruv
You're welcome man
Always following your videos boss 🙌
❤Good to hear that

That's also my favourite application too ❤❤
Nice one boss
🙌🏾❤️
Thank you boss
Love this rudiment❤
Everyone that finds it out, does love it.
I knew it! And substituting the kick for the last stroke
Man..honoured to have you here! 🙌🏾❤️
Thanks and congratulation
You're welcome! 🙏🏼
6 stroke rolls always seem to work well, no matter what sticking pattern you're using.
Travis Barker is HEAVY on the single tap - (R) double (L) double - single tap, 6 stroke.
The great thing about that one is, you can throw a single paradiddle on the lead hand and switch leads.
6 stroke right lead, right handed paradiddle, 6 stroke left lead, left lead paradiddle, ad infinitum.
"Life's a bummer if you're not a drummer" :o)
Yes man!
They always work! ❤️
Thanks man
You're welcome 🙏🏼 ❤️
God bless u sir
God bless you too! ❤️
You are awesome dude!!! Love your vid!!! Parradiddle diddle yeahhhhhhhhh!!!

Yes he was!
5:08 Calvin Rodgers On the Never Again song
Thank you very much for this lesson I wish I could be better than I am because I am very beginning
Just take things gradually and be patient with yourself! You'd definitely grow. Stay consistent most importantly!
C'est l'intro de la chanson de Marvin sapp (possess the lamb) merci beaucoup
oui c'est le cas
Possess the land
GOD will bless you so much, this was so helpful especially for upcoming drummers.
Amen! I'm glad to hear it's helpful! 🙏🏼 ❤️
The drums on never again song was played by calvin rodgers
Yess 👍🏾
Anticipating.....
❤Hope it was helpful?
Calvin Rogers
God bless you sir 🙏
Please can you do a lesson on that groove you used to enter the paradidle didle ?
Can you do a video on time signatures
Soon..
I will
His name is Calvin Rogers
Nice share man!!!! How to speed up this one?
Thank you! 🙏🏼
I didn't get the question
Nice
Thank you! 🙏🏼
Informative video, but I have to say - you should use felts and hold-downs on top of your cymbals. This is how key-holing happens. That hole in the cymbal is allowed to move at too much of an angle to the cymbal holder and if enough force is present, a crack occurs.
I understand man...
I don't have them.
I'd get that fixed soon.
God bless you tochstick for this paradiddle diddle lesson....
I notice a drummer playing paradiddle diddle as RKRRKK in a drum workshop, he also built a funk groove with it. 😅 Trying to learn this pattern but haven't gotten use to it
You're welcome man 🙌🏾 ❤️
Please Do a tutorial for your foot technique
No problem..
I'd do that soon.
@@TochSticksMusic thanksss
Graçias broda
You're welcome man! 🙌🏾 ❤️
how are you dounles so fast man? and if play them long enough at that speed, do you legs get tired?
mine hella do especially in the front
Yeah.. I do get tired.
But the more often you play them, the more endurance you build
Pls I need praise fills pls ,can u do a video, like makossa fills ,pls sir
Stay tuned..
I'd do that soon
I think they are using a rimshot for the accents on the diddles?
You could do that too
🎉❤
Please do lessons on foot works
Stay tuned 😉
Later tonight, a full course on that topic, drops
@@TochSticksMusic Alright💪🏾
Sir hw can I chat with you sir
“Sigh of relief”😂
Calvin Rodgers was on that song
Yes he was!!
Is paradiddle-diddle different from six stroke roll?
Yes and no, lol. It really depends on how you learned the 6 stroke roll. I learned the 6 stroke roll. RLLRRL with accents at the beginning and end. The paradiddle diddle just switches things up a bit with regard to the two accented singles. If you already know the 6 stoke roll the paradiddle diddle should come pretty fast and it will allow you to place the accented notes in places that you may not have with the 6.
@@Bongo808 Thanks mate!
@@ivanbajovic3476 No problem 😉 Thomas Lang learned 6 stroke rolls differently than I did and the way he learned them is even closer to the Paradiddle diddle. I think the way he learned them was RRLLRL JUST A PDD backwards lol it all works and gets you accents in different places when started in each of the different styles. I love the versatility and creativity of drumming. I’d better, I’ve been doing it over 50 years. Ha ha ha
Lol. No.
That Drummer on Never again 😩😩😩I’m suspecting it’s VARO
Yeah! Varo played on so many live outings but, Calvin Rodgers plays the main song. James fortune even said it "Calvin Let's Go"
🔥🔥🔥❤️
🙏🏼 🙏🏼 ❤️
Bro...😢
Anyway i can practice these at home?...hardly have access to a kit here😮💨
Man.. I'd come up with something to help with that
Maybe a practice pad?
That could work also.. .its what I use too
@@TochSticksMusic Do you know where i can get such in Enugu State?
@@unwanatrue no certain man.. You can make it byy yourself though..
You basically need the sole of a shoe (leather) not the very thick one though. Then you cut it into a circle shape or any shape that you want, then put it on a woodboard
Calvin Rodgers played never again
Yes! That's true 💯
Obviously Calvin Rogers
Yessir. It is
You bad no worry ❤
💕🥂
🙇🏾♂️ Thank you Sir
Calvin Rodgers
👍🏾 👍🏾
rl rr ll feels very clunky to me for some reason! It's the only rudiment i've come across that didn't feel great to play or give me tons of ideas straight away.
Compare to paradiddles and 6 stroke rolls especially.
I need to spend some more time on it for sure.
Sure man! You just need to spend more time with it.
It gets better over time with consistent practice.
@@TochSticksMusic it's been in my daily play since that comment and it's feeling a lot better. Thanks for the vid.
Hahahaa nice man
😊😅
Never again was Calvin Rodgers
Yes it was!
How do i increase my speed 😭😭😭😭😭😭
Check out the most recent video on the channel
(as of right now)
Lol.... Baba na debate?😂😂😂
You actually played it as a six stroke roll and not a paradiddle-diddle
Okay.. Can you show me the right way to play it.?
Дидл))🎉🎉🎉!(+++)
Emphasize on oppress those people oppressing you 😅😅
Oh yes😅😅😅
How about Shaba segunʼs own Sir. How he goes round the drum.
