See druneo guy. How hard he hits the drums.
If you would've had him on the Bonzo or Vinnie Paul. Explained video! I would've never blasted ya'll. He is what you call a power player drummer. Main dude doing the explaining video doesn't hit no where near as hard as El does.

I’m a 75 year old retired airline pilot who played drums in a several rock bands in college back in the 70’s. I been watching Estepario about a year now and have such an appreciation for the skills he has developed through years of hard work and discipline that he has inspired me to come out of retirement and begin a new flying career and start drumming again on an electric kit. What a fun guy to watch. You can begin to understand how skilled he is when you see him perform demanding stuff while making it look easy and like he’s having a blast doing it. On top of that his humor and intellect really makes my day. Thanks man, love ya!

It's no knock on the guy, but he can't recreate what he does without the EAD10 that he has. Of course he is making the hits, BUT he is unable to get the same consistent sounds from his hits without the EAD10. You can hear the inconsistency in his playing in this video. Again, this is NOT a knock on the guy, he is an OUTSTANDING drummer.. I'm just saying that the sounds created are not always natural.
The EAD10 has the ability to send midi notes at the assigned velocity , regardless of how hard or soft you hit the drums.
I would love to hear him try to mimic the sounds he achieves using the EAD10 vs. live playing without the device present. He is still super, super skilled, etc.. it will just not be as bang-on consistent sound

He plays for Saratoga, the biggest metal band in Spain. Saratoga is, for Spain, by comparison, what Metallica is for California.
They brought metal to the radio for everyone to enjoy.
Saratoga started making a comeback and realized they needed a new drummer and reached out to Gorge (ESS’ real name) and he has been playing with them for roughly two years now. :)
But the pandemic made his schedule very open. So he started doing youtube videos and became a ridiculously popular social media influencer in a short time lol.

You will see in the last video of Charlie Parra, guitarist on the tour of 5 countries in America last March 2023, that he comments on it, and you will see that Jorge himself does not want to appear in the photos much. By the way, Saratoga is for some a good metal group and for others it is pure "Metal Paco", that is, something outdated and without much impact or innovación, compared to other old style groups like Baron Rojo, who are much superior as a band and have a public impact even today in Spain or Latin America.

El Estipario is proof that endless practice is the key. We all watch him think only HE can pull that shit off. Bc he makes it look effortless. What we don’t see is the constant practice and constant failures he endures to make what he does look so easy and natural. Remember people, there’s nothing natural about drumming or contorting your hands to master the guitar, bass , banjo, etc. We have to work hard to be good. This some of us have to work a little less hard but almost nobody picks up and instrument and masters it. Don’t get discouraged. Get your ass in there and PRACTICE all the things you suck at. Make the exercises you hate become the things you can do in your sleep.

This exercise would also work for drummers who lost an arm like Rick Allen and Jack Thomas. It also goes out to drummers who had one arm paralyzed or had a cast on one arm or any arm related health issues. Don’t let these arm issues stop you from drumming. If one arm can’t do it, use the other arm. It also works for your weak hand practice too. They’re really great drummers with only one arm. The first exercise he did I call it the brush or the swipe because of the motion.

Obviously this guy blows my mind with his incredible technique. I often watch his stuff. It's amazing. I can't imagine ever bothering to learn such speeds and concentration of notes in a bar though. Unless you're playing metal, no one wants to hear a drum kit sounding like a machine gun.
