    I suspect FSD disengaged a few times because the cameras became covered with water when splashing through those large puddles.

      Likely. It was much worse then you could tell in the video

    I was driving FSD in a bad Texas rain, due to low visibility some cars were even stopping on the sides and I was using the screen to see lines and did really well, really helped.

    Glad that you actually included a quick showing of the Software screen so viewers know for sure FSD (Supervised) v12.4.3 is in fact installed on your Tesla. It's reassuring to witness that FSD (Tesla Vision) on cameras alone can detect a vehicle that's nearly indiscernible way ahead of y'all, and maintaining your vehicle at a safe driving distance. Oh btw, are you one of the FSD early-access customers? My 2024 MYP has been on FSD (Supervised) v12.3.6 since May 6, 2024. lol

      Yeah I'm one of the early access 12.4.3. I always try to show my version in these videos for that reason

    Did some crazy stuff last night, mostly awesome. But a couple times driving above the speed limit when I have it set to 0 difference. Was in Aggressive setting. I picked up a friend at the Calgary airport last night and I kid you not, did not have a single intervention for that 18km drive. A few other small interventions and a couple takeovers last night, but it was kind of mind blowing, also not touching the wheel and just paying attention. Wild!

    When FSD limits the speed of the vehicle, it's because that is a max speed it can drive safely. Overriding and manually speeding up the car may not be wise due to conditions. When the cars passed and blinded your front and side cameras, FSD required YOU to take over... it did not "crash". It knew that the cameras for that period of time were blinded. Since all FSD software is level 3 right now (emulated on Level 4 cars), it is not using the Level 4 High Definition and infa-red cameras. I have found that FSD ability to "see" in rain is better than my eyes, but requires the driver's attention more. It does see the road better than I, and the combination of me supervising and FSD driving seems to be the best.

    1:36 don't you guys in the US don't learn what aquaplaning is?

    • @MotherFrunker
      @MotherFrunker  8 днів тому

      I'm not American and yes I do understand what aquaplaning is but that's not relevant to the speed issue as it was doing the same thing many times without no rain

      In our eyes as Easterners, you have the face of an American, so we all think you are American!😂

      @@MotherFrunker if you're not from the US, why the f. do you use Miles per hour? 🤔
      Anyway, 45 is more than enough in this kind of weather. We learn to drive 80 km/h in Germany in heavy rain and 60 km/h if we can see puddles of water on the road.
      Since you drove through puddles of water the 45 FSD was driving was actually too fast, not to slow.

    Are you familiar with hydroplaning? Not a smart thing to do during potential high rain or flooding events. This new technology isn't infallible. In the future, please plan for the unexpected!

      Yes I am.

      If you have fsd you know how it handles hydroplaning. Which is quite well. especially the ones that are surprise, controls quicker than you ever would, keeping you dead straight. Same goes for snow squalls.

    2:06 it didn't "crash" it reached its limit of capabilities. You pushed it to drive 10 mph faster than it would have, and thus you splashed the windshield. No wonder it can't see shit.
