Can we have a video on dendritic, moss, and/or Montana agates? I know they're common, but they're cool (even if they don't technically fit the definition of an agate).
Hi, I'm from Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil - a little close to Ametista do Sil. It is very common to find crystals around here, you can trip and fall if you don't watch where you're going! Each geode is a surprise!
Absolutely would love to see more about geodes! Hunting for geodes is one of several geological items on my bucket list. I have heard also of thunder eggs. I’m not quite sure I understand what these are. I’d love to know more.
We definitely wanted to get to Thunder Eggs in this video, but didn't have time. They're more like "geode cousins" than proper geodes, since they are solid inside. If you're interested, we featured some Thunder Eggs here: ua-cam.com/video/CtrJZbUOVzQ/v-deo.html
The presentation was wonderful, thank you - did we mention that when Geods which are green on the outside - carry a man made stabilizer? Just learned that. Thank you. Greath to watch.
I can believe there're many kinds of geodes and all of them are so amazing.😃🤩💎🪨 To know where they come from🗺, how they're form and what kind of gems inside🪨⛏ even there's a cave like a geode is very interesting.🤔 I never knew some are completely solid or have some water💧 inside too. Yes, I like to see another video about more geode.😀 Thanks for teaching us about them.👩🏫💎🪨
As a teenager in Tampa, we would collect a bunch of them. We called them Ballast Point Diamonds. They were located right next to the Ballast Point Pier off of Bayshore Blvd. We would get them during low tide.
I have a legitimate question/suggestion for the next video, instead of the typical sarcasm. I'm in TX and until recently was under the impression that I just couldn't find any geodes near me. A reliable source showed me otherwise. The struggle for me has always been where to look - near water? Way underground? In active limestone deposits, etc? It would help tremendously if you could explain what geological conditions are most likely to form geodes and then what you should look for while you're hunting.
YES, THANK YOU! I live in southern Utah and anytime I search for places to look down here all I get it “Dugway UT” which is a major geode bed in northern UT and not what I’m looking for at all, it’s so infuriating that I can never find any information on what type of geological landscape/conditions I should be looking for
What about Texas, esp Southern Texas? I found a spot littered with Calcite. Yes, I know it's about the most common but it has really sparked an interest for me as I am brining home buckets of them. It's fun seeing what is inside all these with each being different. Basically these are all fairly small but hoping to find bigger ones.
I have several from East Central Missouri. Most are solid, not hollow. They have very rough bubbles on them and they are all clear in the inside. Since no hole, are they still geod?
I'm from Tampa, and we had them right off of Bayshore Blvd beside the Ballast Point Pier. I have since moved to Kentucky, and one of my sons lives in Berea, which has them there. He also owns land in Rockcastle County, which also has a bunch in his streams. Both locations are off of I-75.
Thanks for posting, but I am really surprised you actually prop-up heat treated Amethyst. I thought you would clearly identify it as Fake Citrine, instead you propped it up as if it were real citrine.
The ones with water inside were amazing. Thank you for sharing.
I love it and I have a small collection myself. Thank you for the video I absolutely learned something new, liked and subscribed!

@@gems Thanks! I will for sure check that out. I love how informative your videos are. I look forward to the next one!
Thunder eggs are agate
I’ll have to look into thunder eggs more. They sound even more fascinating if theres agate involved. Thank you!
What an excellent video, well done. So cool seeing all the different types of geodes all over the world seriously thank you, it was fun and cool.

This might be my favorite UA-cam channel of all time.
I liked this; felt like a PBS special
Awesome, more please!
I loved the geo tracker;)
I’d love to see more!

More, MORE! Lol, I just came back from a herkimer mine I cant get enough.
They are gorgeous
Fiquei até emocionado quando vi as ametistas aqui do Brasil 😊❤️
I would love to se a vid about geode rarities

1:41 i think that's more dolomite than barite
Could you maybe unbox different zoisite varieties?
Hi very good
I’ve been wondering for a couple years what that green ring in my Amethyst stalagmite slices is, thanks for telling me it’s Celadonite!
Im about to be driving around USA to see geode locations, any suggestions wpould be greatly appreciated.

I’m in the Dallas, Warsaw area in Illinois
Love to know, what in the Sutter Buttes area in Northern California can be found
I want to hear about more
I have a geode , is it valuable & how much the price?
Could the polyhedroids form between the six sided columns of columnar basalt????
Can you do a video on ncs crystals?
Gordon Freeman on the beach with crowbar made me happy.
nice..but you forget itch one. Geode of calcedoine from algeria and more then quartz geode..

Hi hillo beautiful ma'am, God bless you. Watching from pinas setio palanog Garita San Enrique Iloilo thx
Hello
❤
I needed a rock, now i can do it with style, I cant wait to throw one through my neighbors window
Would i be able to find geodes in Washington?

Wait... Celestine vs Celestite... Are they the same? Are they different?
They're the same, like Spessartite and Spessartine.
This is the whitest sheet I ever seen haha. Thanks for the info I’m going
Why are there not many Hawaiian geodes jw
I love you.
too bad they keep mining until nothing is left...much of the material is turned into frivolous junk...how much is enough
Yeah Paraiba Tourmaline is almost non-existent now among many others. It takes millions of years for most gemstones to form. Think about that
Cut out the “millions of years ago” God is real accept it!!
geodes are just like women
LOL!!!!! @ 350 mill years… nice delusion !!
