I’ve had a 700 for a few years now and I’m absolutely going to get this chassis. Great price and looks great. Heard amazing things about the quality can’t wait to try it out
Perfect timing lol. My LSS-XL gen 2 came today. Dropped straight in, no problem with my Savage 11 Hog Hunter. I got the fixed interface with a fixed to carbine lock plate. Seemed to give overall the shortest length of pull for storage. Also haven't shot it yet but I did cycle dummy rounds and I think it feeds smoother than the factory stock's blind mag.
Good time. I am the owner of the Howa HOGUE GRN STK 308 Win carbine. Barrel - 56 cm. Classic budget polymer stock. After watching your video came up with the idea of installing MDT XRS for HOWA 1500 SA FDE. Do you think it makes sense to put an MDT stock on a budget hunting barrel, and how will it look like?
For sure, it makes sense to upgrade your rifle. With a standard sporter barrel, it might look a bit out of place, but the increase in accuracy far out weighs that.
I’d read about some people having problems with their magazines feeding, particularly the Ruger American 300 blackout builds. What I read was from 2016, so I’m hoping you guys have long solved the issue.
It depends on which version of the rifle you have. We currently support the AR magazine version of the rifle in our LSS-XL for a Ruger American short action AR. If you have a rotary magazine we are not aware of a magazine that can feed your combination reliably.
@@MDTTAC I have a rotery magazine but the stock is able to upgrade to AICS Mags or AR style i guess. My bolt is milled on the underside. I guess there are two versions on the 300 BLK bolts. My plan is to upgrade to the LSS XL gen 2 if possible.

@@MDTTAC I have a gen 1 LSS for my Axis long action and love it. Obviously I'm mistaken, but I thought at one point about 3 years ago the LSS-XL was offered for Axis SA. Either way your chassis systems are solid and amazing!
One question: why do I need to remove the factory bolt stop pin on my Ruger American? I have a predator model and everything seems to be working fine without replacing the pin...
The poly stock that came with the rifle sits higher up on your receiver, our chassis sits lower so the pin that holds your bolt stop in, being shorter in the factory configuration can work its way down and out, causing you to lose your stop and spring. We include the longer pin so it cannot work it's way loose and is held in by the chassis.
