MOD PODGE ULTRA SPRAY!! OMG I am calling around for it now in Houston. I was seeking a video to learn how to smoothly seal flake glitter and I ran into you and you saved my life with this spray. Thank you for the sneak peeks of great art. I rather spray then go in with this resin. I have purple glitter resin everywhere in my art room from my first project and the rock I tried to decorate stuck to the glass plate I sat it on to dry😩😂🤦!
This painting is very beautiful, your technique is very unique and very accurate! I also paint on rocks on my UA-cam channel and share, but I really like your paintings.
If you put a coat of varnish on first it will shine. It really is best to do a coat of sealer even if using indoor outdoor. I love the sponges! Excellent idea.
I had no idea the things I learned from this video. You make it seem so simple. I'm definitely heading over to my local dollar store and checking it all out. Thanks so much for sharing. It was fun;-)
Love this video. Very educational. I like the idea of nail polish it's not something that I would have thought of. :), Side note: My local dollar stores are now $1.25.
Thanks for the soap saver tip. Now I won’t be covered in paint. I haven’t painted my nails in forever cause I’m always full of paint. lol. I don’t know why I didn’t think of gloves. Thanks for reminding me I’m a dingbat. Lol
Love the soap saver idea! I bought 5 of them at Dollar Tree. When I do it I do get a few spots on the bottom of the rocks, but yours didn't. What did I do wrong?
You will get a few spots wherever the soap saver comes in contact with wet paint. You can either dry the paint slightly before placing the rock on the saver (I used a blow dryer) or you can touch up those spots after the paint is dried. Hope that helps!
I didn't, I used what I had on hand. You can sometimes find paint at the dollar store, but be sure it's acrylic not tempera. Tempera paint will wash off the rocks in the rain.
Great ideas + beautiful unique ideas = Masterpiece!
Thanks for making this tutorial! I want to start painting rocks and you’ve taught me everything and so affordable!
Thank you so much! I'd love to see any rocks you paint!
Thankyou
Those soap saver are great!

@@JessicaHill Thank you Jessica, I will try the blow dryer. Love your tips!
Were can I get the transfers. I love all the different videos.very good.x
I found these at Dollar Tree but you can find them online as well.
@@JessicaHill I live in Ireland. Is there a site I could ordered them.thank you x
I would search Amazon for gold temporary tattoos.
About how long does it take the rock to dry before u paint over it?
will elmers extra strength glue work it's not the washable glue
A quick Google tells me that it is water-resistant, but not waterproof. The paint might wear off over time.
What paint did you use?
I used acrylic craft paint and dollar store nail polish.
@@JessicaHill Did you buy the acrylic paint at dollar store also? thanks
I didn't, I used what I had on hand. You can sometimes find paint at the dollar store, but be sure it's acrylic not tempera. Tempera paint will wash off the rocks in the rain.
what kind of paint?
If you look in the description of the video, I have a list of all the products I used.
