    Please. If no one copied what was already out there we probably wouldn't have ANY art. It's through the inspiration of others that our uniqueness can pop out. Great video. Thanks for sharing.

      I totally agree - some people are sticklers about being 'original' but I, like you create through the inspiration of others' work. Thank you for your comment

    You are a very talented compassionate artist!! You are spreading your inspiring love through your rock creations. I sadly and suddenly lost my younger brother this week and searched everywhere to find an artist to paint his favorite scene in Maine on a rock. Thanks to you I will undertake this project and honor my brother. Thank You, Thank you.

      Thank you so much for your comment. I'm so sorry for your loss and I hope creating something in your brother's honor will help ease some of the heartbreak you must be feeling. Take care.

    I love this idea! I’m not an artist and it really stressed me out trying to draw something. I had stopped painting because of that but now I can try this method! Thank you so much!

    Thank you for such a helpful, instructional video! I also am often stuck in my tracks not sure what to do, and find myself painting the same trees over and over; except now I have recently discovered how to make cute sheep! :) I have been wanting to find ideas just like this with a way to transfer an image, and get creative from there. I am often obsessed with collecting rocks when we are on camping trips in the summer, and my husband even humors me by looking for good rocks to paint - but I seem to collect a lot, and then lack a jumping off point to paint. I have tons of rocks to paint this winter, and will go to your site to find supply links, and look forward to having ideas to help me paint pretty rocks thru the cold and snowy months ahead. I look forward to following you and finding more inspiration. We live in a resort community and I do find it fun and entertaining to leave rocks on the bike path when I am out with my dogs - I often leave them near intersections and garbage cans, as I figure that is where a lot of people will stop, especially if they have kids. I like to think they have fun finding random treasures.
    Thank you again!

    All I’ve ever painted were simple work rocks. I joined a rock group on FB a few days ago & the others were clearly artists….portraits, animals, nature scenes, I really felt out of the league. So I googled! And found this tutorial! Im just like you, a crafter, not an artist! But thanks so much for teaching me how to be, kinda, an artist! Oh, and, as a retired ele. Teacher I want to encourage you…your speaking and video segments were at the perfect listening/absorbing pace. You done great! 👍💕

      Sure. I love the site Vecteezy.com. Just type in "landscapes" in the search. Make sure to click the "free license" button on the sites far left side. You can check out the blog at www.acraftycomposition.com for additional rock painting info. Have fun!

    Can you use rub ons ...??? Just got some rocks and paint pens 🖊....ready to start, but wanted some shortcuts, as I am not an artist 👩‍🎨

      Thanks for your question, Debra. I haven't worked with either of these - I would think the primer would help out with the porousness. Please let me know how it goes if you try it.

    Thanks for the video. Is the semi-gloss cover necessary if the rocks are for indoor use only ?

    • @ACraftyComposition
      @ACraftyComposition  3 роки тому +1

      No, it's really just to seal the paint so that it doesn't wash off in rain. If you are keeping the rocks inside and dry you don't need to seal. It does make the colors pop a little more though. Have fun!

    DO NOT LEAVE PERSONAL INFO ON ROCKS..do not take her advice on that comment as> Painted rocks are considered graffiti and are illegal to leave in the park.” Parks authorities asked visitors to practice the leave-no-trace principle by taking everything you bring into a natural area with you when you depart. other than that enjoy personally I leave rocks painted anywhere as you all should...just dont leave your personal info on it or anyone elses info..........pain them leave them everywhere,,just dont get caught enjoy!!!!!!!!

    • @ACraftyComposition
      @ACraftyComposition  Рік тому

      Thank you for your comment. Yes, I believe that is correct for national parks and nature areas. I feel a neighborhood park/playground is okay. I also like to leave them near the entrances to medical buildings, parking lots, farmer's markets, etc. I left one at an airport and it ended up changing hands three times and ended up in Alaska! So fun.

      Thanks for your comment! There should be absolutely no reason for you to provide a credit card number. All my videos are free as well as all my blog posts/tutorials. I'm curious - were you trying to subscribe to my UA-cam Channel? or my Blog? I certainly don't blame you - I wouldn't give out my credit card either. I'm afraid the request for it must have been some kind of spam or something.
