Wow I’m shocked once more! How did you read my mind? Lol 😂 I just got my bedroom a bed with no head board and was worrying about the budget for getting a useless headboard and two night stands… Your DIY is just what I didn’t know I needed! You are awesome 👏 thank you so much!!!!
This marks the last video of the year, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everyone! As I've nearly completed all the makeovers in my apartment (pending bedroom) the main focus in 2022 will be a new series called House To Home where I will personally makeover your home! If you are based in Sydney or NSW, you can register your interest via the link below: rlowell.com/housetohome The first episode of the series will be launching mid-January, so excited to share this project with all of you!
I move a lot, so this is not ideal for me. But tall headboards are recommended for Feng shui, and this is a great solution without paying for a headboard that doesn't match my style or bed frame. This has been a personal gripe of mine for years, props to your solution! The accessories like the nightstand shelves and lighting are just a nice bonus.
This is a great idea as you are in a rental , and don't have to drill into the walls. How would you deal with this bed if you decided to move out from this rental into another home? could you disassemble this piece? How would it survive transit to the new residence?
Thanks for showing us your process. I’m DIYing my own slat board headboard and your process adds a great insight into how I can improve the concept on mine. I’ve been hoping you’d do this since you previously mentioned it in your bedroom makeover. Thanks again 😊
This is a wonderful made headboard. I have been looking fir a love floating headboard like this but i dont have any talent for creating with wood. Thank you
This is so inspiring. I really love how soothing your voice is and the breakdown of materials/price. My only question is what brand and style are the bed linens? Thanks and happy new year!
Bro what did you purchase for the headboard? The kin mon table top he has on the video says it’s 1.5 m but on ikea it’s much smaller and only says it’s 39inch
Does anyone have any experience with attaching this type of idea for a headboard, directly into the wall studs? In my mind, I can almost replicate this idea, but save an extra half inch or so by fastening the bed frame directly into this headboard (attached to the wall), and eliminate the space that the added 2x4s would take up. The space between the wall with the head of my bed, and the opposite wall (where my TV hangs) is very tight, so I am trying to open up that space as much as possible. Great video, gave me so many ideas. Sorry if my explanation is difficult to understand/confusing. Thanks for the help!
You build this year ago ;) Looks very nice, gives me some ideas and I want to build one! Seems slightly flimsy but that could be improved easily. I don't have headboard but it really makes the room feel luxurious!
Very nice except for the fact that the amount of EMF contamination should be measured and steps taken to improve that and , most importantly, your health.
You really should not choose your drill based on its exterior style. Seeing it struggling on the materials you have drilled was tough. Other than that, really nice ikea hack.

I've left a link in the description as well.

This was an awesome video. Would love to see more like this!👍
What if the bed frame breaks and i need to replace it? Where do i detach the headboard from the bed frame?
This is a great Idea!
Amazing video 🤩🤩🤩
I should add that I'm 2 months in with mine now! I know you've moved on from the look, but I enjoy it as it works well with my surroundings.
Bro what did you purchase for the headboard? The kin mon table top he has on the video says it’s 1.5 m but on ikea it’s much smaller and only says it’s 39inch
@@shoemaniac100 I ended up using “Lagkapten” 140cm, rather than the Linnmon :) Works well
Love these ideas you have
That‘s a really neat idea, thanks for sharing! 🥰
I'm curious if you had to move, how would you take it apart if it was glued in?
Excellent!!
Hi, question, is this headboard..sturdy? did you test? :) thanks for sharing!
Amazing as always
Please do a tutorial on how how you hide cables for TVs
Amazing! Thanks
I love it ❤
This is excellent. Thank you.
Amazing!!!!
From where you get your bed frame?
That was so quick, nice, what I would need a lot of is patience lol

Is this the Malm bed? How dod you exchange the original headboard?
great idea thanks!
One question: how do you clean the floor behind the headboard?
I love this… thanks for sharing
Thanks for the great videos you make. Have learnt several helpful things from you.

Really like this! Not hard to do at all!
Where you buy the bottle water ?
Is this more of a queen size or king?
What color duvet did you get?
Please tell, where did you purchase the digital screwdriver?
Where I would get the screwdriver like that bro
What is that bed platform
Can you please tell me which bed frame is that? Thanks for the video mate.
your videos are amazing..but i honestly hope your voice is not dull or sleepy.
does anyone know what bed frame he has and size?
Very nice
Can you do a full apartment tour that you makeover? I wanna see how everything looks 😊❤️
Sorry to ask, but how much do you pay in rent for your aparment
Unbelievable!
You build this year ago ;) Looks very nice, gives me some ideas and I want to build one! Seems slightly flimsy but that could be improved easily. I don't have headboard but it really makes the room feel luxurious!
Looks great! What did you use to fasten the powerboard to the bedframe?
hi bro, spill the name of the apartment
Is the bed in queen or king size?
Queen size bed
I love it! Now to convince my fiancé that we don’t need traditional nightstands.
Can I request you to design my room? 😆
🔥🔥🔥🤯
This is a great and affordable tutorial!! What size drill bit are you using for the pre-holes?
Why not just buy the Nordli headboard for half the price?
Don’t forget to activate gorilla glue
👍👍
Bruh that’s not even the linnmom
Very nice except for the fact that the amount of EMF contamination should be measured and steps taken to improve that and , most importantly, your health.
Wouldn't have used those shelf brackets. Far too sore and visible for my liking. And yes I can do this better. Would give this a 4/10.
You really should not choose your drill based on its exterior style. Seeing it struggling on the materials you have drilled was tough. Other than that, really nice ikea hack.
