ADVERTISING
As content creation is our business and how we earn our living you will see advertising in our content from time to time in different forms:
We are very selective about what brands we work with on paid/sponsored content creation and as a rule we don't work with any brand that we don't already or wouldn't spend our own money on. We are incredibly proud of all our brand partnership content and it will always be disclaimed in the most transparent way possible so you know exactly what is with 'AD' on screen and in the description box. If the entire video is an 'AD' this will be in the title of the video.
Because we don't work with a large amount of brands on sponsored content we do rely on our UA-cam ad revenue. Any adverts you watch during the duration of our videos will earn us a small percentage of 'ad revenue' from UA-cam and we really appreciate you watching the adverts in full (and not skipping them), but only if and when you can. We also know that time is precious so no pressure.
We also use 'Affiliate Links' in the description boxes below our videos and if you make a purchase via these links we will earn a small percentage of commission depending on the sale amount. Not all links are affiliate links but just assume they are.
Any items/links marked with '[AD - Pr products]' are products which have been 'gifted' from the respective brands without a contract for sponsored content. This is still classed as a form of advertising because nothing is ever "free", brands are gaining exposure to our audience by us featuring them, so these items are marked as 'AD-Pr product' in the description box but we are under no obligation to feature these items. And as with our paid content, we never accept gifting/pr products from brands that we don't already or wouldn't spend our money on. If we have received a press discount on anything featured this will also be disclaimed.

I think ive missed something in the video - what did you do to the bottom to keep it tidy??
Great job!!!!
Beautiful ❤
This is great Emma !!!
Thank you x
Gorgeous! 🏅
Love your style
Dreamy lol, so classic and comfortable. Emma you have such a knack for DIY and clear instructions, very doable ( she says knowing full well she'd end up stapling her fingers to the plywood and cutting the fabric to the wrong measurements 😂😂😂)
Ah practice makes perfect, trust me I’ve had my stapling fingers to plywood moments over the years 😆
😅 there's hope for me yet!
Looks fab xxxx
Thank you x
It looks awesome! The only thing I didn’t get, how is this headboard secured? To the bed frame?
I actually did this myself many years ago and loved the effect ❤
Me too!❤
Nice and easy I love it....and the final result looks classy and chic 😉👍
Bises
Thank you x
Emma , beautiful project. I did not notice if the headboard is adhered to any surface. How do you keep it from shifting or falling forward onto your bed/heads?
Love this idea❤❤❤❤
Thank you Tiana ☺️😘😘
Love it! If only there was a way to attach a French cleat while still being able to use the slipcover.❤
I have been eyeing on bed head boards these days and this is just brilliant. Thanks Emma 😊
Thank you x
Hi Emma, Great tutorial! I'm planning to do something similar myself. I'm wondering how it feels the sit up against it? is it comfortable enough? Can you still feel the MDF through the wadding? Thanks xx
Excellent 😀
The result looks stunning. Bravo! My concern is there is a lot of fabric on the back side. Could get expensive? Could do an elastic edge on the backside as an alternative. Also, I’d definitely recommend serging or zig-zag finishing those edges as they look like they’ll fray quickly. Lovely stuff, though.
Lovely job.Can I also ask where your cream rug is from.Thank you
I would love to try this, do you remember what thickness wading you used?
👏👏👏
You are very handy.
Haha thank you x
Brilliant x
I made a head board like this but for the outside material I made a duvet cover stuck the headboard inside and zipped it. Of course the measurements for the duvet was different than for a blanket to make sure it was tight but it worked perfectly
That’s great! And a wonderful use of older things you already have 🙌🏼
Jopetas!!!!! eres una artista!!!!!!😍
Looks lovely and a great tutorial. One question tho - how did you attach the headboard to the wall/bedframe so it doesn't move? Thanks
We didn’t. Ours just wedges in behind the mattress and doesn’t move because it’s tightly squeezed in x
@@EmmaHill wow - I'd be sure it'd move in the night and fall on our heads! 😅
@@sallyannc3176it would depend on the bed but ours is very firmly wedged so it doesn’t move regardless of what you may be doing in bed 😬
You're a good sowner/seamstress
The headboard looks so good made that you could "fool" 😉👌🏻 us & bought it
✌🏻❄️
Haha thank you 😘
@@EmmaHill your welcome ✌🏻❄️
Is the muslin cloth necessary or could i make do without it?
Will the headboard fall down or is it secured to the wall?
Very beautiful!
And love the linnen covers. Also from Amazon?
The bedding? No that’s from Secret Linen Store.
Your project turned out lovely. I'm curious, though, is there is anything that prevents the headboard from tipping forward? Is it just the tension from the mattress that is holding it up and against the wall?
It’s our bed frame, we have an area where it can be tightly wedged so it doesn’t move at all. Obviously this would depend on the bed frame but if someone didn’t want to attach a headboard to the wall, a renter maybe, then I would suggest making one long enough to sit on the floor so the entire bed wedges it to the wall 👍🏼
Hi Emma, where your bed-frame is from please?
Gorgeous! Please tell us, how is it attached to the wall?
It’s not. It’s wedged into our bed frame so it doesn’t move 👍🏼
Love this tutorial - where is your bed frame from?
It’s from Get Laid Beds x
It’s like you read my mind!!!!! Again!!! lol
I’ve been trying to plan how to diy a new headboard! Can I ask which colour you used in the linen fabric please? X
It’s ‘beige’ which I think is now sold out as it’s not an option any more 🙈
@@EmmaHill 😂 I need to be far quicker!!!!! Xx same with the Uniqlo pu sling bag, even with my elite level shop stalking skills, I still can’t find one 🙈🤷🏽♀️😘

Hello, it's really good, I'm thinking of give it a try. Is it attached to the bed or wall somehow? Doesn't it fall on you if you move a lot while you sleep?
And the bottom part stays open, just with a hem?
Yes the bottom part stays open so you can remove it. I suppose you could add a zip but if it’s measured properly you don’t need a zip as it fits snuggly so wouldn’t ride up.
We don’t have ours attached the wall at all, it’s firmly wedged into a part of our bed frame and it is solid so doesn’t move at all 🙌🏼 You could attach to the wall with screws and D rings 👍🏼

Nice........
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ beautiful

Love your videos! Where is your mattress from please?
Our mattress is a Silentnight Eco mattress x
@@EmmaHill Thank you! x
You don't secure the headboard to the wall? What keeps it from falling over?
i assume the weight of the bed agaist it woud sufice fot it to not fall over?
😍! But did I miss how to fasten the board to the wall so it doesn’t fall?
We didn’t, it’s wedged into our bed frame. Obviously this will depend on your bed frame but you can add hooks to the back of the headboard and screws in the wall, it’s not renter friendly but that’s the only option unless putting it on the floor and wedging with your bed x
One way to fix to the wall is called a French cleat. But you’ll need someone with tools and know-how to help with this.
How do you avoid the fall?
Ours is wedged very tightly into our bed frame so it doesn’t move but you could attach to the wall with screws, make it longer to stand on the floor and wedge to the wall with the entire bed or make legs 👍🏼
This is the woman who says she only has one set of bed linen… let’s send her some cash so she can begin 2024 with two sets
Emma, please can you share wall colour number in this video?🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
great work but what is keeping the diy headboard in place? there is a probability of it falling over
I was thinking the same
We have wedged it into our bed frame so it doesn’t move at all 👍🏼
You don’t say how this is fixed to the wall, that is the bit I have the most trouble with.

Lovely hope did you attach to bed
