The G80 3.8 V6 with the Ultimate Package & the G80 5.0 Ultimate both have the heated rear seats. The buttons for the heated rear seats are in the rear center armrest with the power sunshade button for the rear window
Aaron Starks 19 in the city is actually pretty good , that's the average for some v6 , but 21-22 in the highway is a different story that's terrible , the Charger v8 for example has a better highway MpG .. but combine what would it be .
So much info you have given is wrong. Moving into a V8 Ultimate gives you rear window sunshade; rear side window sunshades are standard on all models. In addition you can purchase a V8 AWD version as well. The V8 engined variant has 245 up front and 275 in the back tires. The V8 also has a continuous dampening control suspension. The car rides very well and in comparison to the German brands you save lots of $ at time of purchase and down the road for repairs as this vehicle will easily surpass the reliability of German and American brands after the expiration of its warranty.
Over the last 35 years, I have mostly owned 3 series BMW's. After lots of research, in 2014 I purchased a new R-Spec. Amazing car. I swore I would never go back to being a BMW snob. In 2016, my R-Spec was stolen. I decided to buy a Mazda Miata. Although it's a fun car, it's not a Genesis. Needless to say, later this year I will be buying a G80 Very much miss my Genesis, the ride, the comforts and impressive handling.
Interesting i watch reviews like this and everyone gushes over the price for the top of the line maxed out version of this car being equivalent in price to a base model german car.... and then theres soo many small irrelevant minor stupid nit picks about the car... this BY FAR is the best bang for a buck
car felt big to me though I agree for the money it is the best thing out there if luxury is your forte. I still think I prefer the Infiniti Q70. I do love the heads up display in the G which in itself could be a deal maker.
Mcnizzle3 I don't know if the 2017 G80 is configured slightly differently for various regions around the world but in California there are 3 buttons in the fold down armrest in the 3.8 AWD, two for heated seats and 1 for rear sunshade, while no button in the RWD (regardless of 3.8 or 5.0). Here we are only talking about the ultimate package, highest one can get
zihui1234567 I will have to take your word for it. Here in NY it seems impossible to find a 3.8 RWD. I even went to the Genesis website to configure one but they don't show every option. I thought that the ultimate package always included heated rear seats. Maybe, you are right.
They porked ya on the test car.. I just got a decent used one and it has the rear sunshade, and 4 drive modes. The snow .ode you failed mention. Front and rear seats are heated with a/c in the front seats... I lucked out and am very happen with the car.. great review, thank you.
Mine has rear seat heated and has window shade, I am sorry to say that but cargurus needs to change this person. Not even this video I have seen couple of his video just not good at all
Great car just don't drive over a pothole with it at highway speeds. Even the smallest (2 in. deep) pothole takes out the Conti ProContact Tx low profile tires that come on the car because of the heavy front end. Genesis is aware of the situation but has chosen to do nothing. This is a $60k coffin.
jahwangful yore joking right....Acura? You mean Merc, BMW and Lexus. Those are the people it rolling with and I think it's giving Lexus a run for the money as a matter of fact, even though Lexus design is a bit more refined and elegant. Acura fucking sucks. Their cars look exactly like the Hondas do. A fully loaded Honda beats any of Acura cars. The TLX is the most boring car out right now and Acura doesn't even make RWD vehicles. You do know that Acuras in the U.S. are Hondas in other parts of the world....they are lame enough to just be sold as Hondas can you believe that.
R they are no longer mixed in with other Hyundai models..as of 2017, Hyundai requiring dealerships to have separate sales and service departments for all Genesis models...just as Toyota did with the Lexus..love my 2016 Genesis..handsome vehicle..
Genesis Motors is well on its way to Failure . Their stress free buying experience is dependent on what the Koreans are going to ship to North America which means you can't order your car to your own specification . I placed an order for a Genesis G90 5.0 Htrac in Manhattan Brown with Beige interior in October 2016 . The dealer gave me back my deposit because the Koreans are only shipping the G90 in white, Black , and silver and 90% are 3.3T Which means only popular models that most people want . So if you want these popular models you are in luck , but if you want a 5.0 that will be crap shoot and forget about getting one in Brown or Blue because the Koreans stopped shipping those colors for now ( No explanation given ) . If Genesis Motors is going to be a Legitimate Luxury brand to compete with the Players in this field , they have to do better . 👎 👎

I really like this design especially the rear portion.
My 2016 Genesis has rear seat side sunshades, rear sunshade and heated seats. Maybe the trim level or your tester didn't have them.
Aaron Starks what do you average both city and highway Mpg ?
mikexcanxjerk I'd say city is definitely not good. About 19. Highway I get around 21-22. Fuel mileage on the Genesis is not great.

It actually does have rear sunshades and heated rear seats.
and that's why I'm waiting for G80 sport.

Lucky guy. Did you end up getting the 5.0?
Thanks, Dean
I love your R Spec.
Jk

Contrary to the Reviewer's Remarks, the Genesis G80 does indeed have heated rear seats. The controls are mounted on the fold down centre armrest.
Clayton Root is it only available in the AWD version? the RWD 3.8 doesn't seem to have it nor does the 5.0
both versions have them when you get all of the options. The controls are in the fold down arm rest.

I love that color. Wish it was available on the Sonata.
This guy has a versatile collection of shirts
My one has rear heated seats and sun shades for Windows. I don't know what is he saying
heated rear seat control are in the arm rest
y'all need to get an app!!!
I think you are one of the best reviewers on the internet. I appreciate your brevity and your attention to detail.

Why do you want a sport sedan from a luxury vehicle?
no car is going to be perfect
I want
Iooks good
No trunk pass through is no buy for me! Only ski available!

Long way to catch up with Lexus, Infinity and Acura etc..

at least spell infiniti right if you want to talk cars.
Hyundai has passed Nissan/Infinity. Nissan motors are garbage
that shifter needs to go...
i will take this genesis brand serious when they are no longer sitting on the lot next to a hyundai accent😂😂

In Toronto we seem to only get the G90 5.0 V8 ultimate and apparently the 3.3.T is a special order
