Thanks for this great and helpful review. I am 3 weeks into owning mine and am really happy. I, too, drove an ES before this, a good friend for 12 years, but it was time and I feel I made the right choice for me. I do agree with your comments about bumps handling and the G90 was rather smoother, but I love the look and feel overall of this (I got the Tasman Blue). The review helped identify a couple features I've been trying to figure out. Again, thanks! One thing to mention--the only quieter car I've been in is a Tesla
As much as I like Lexuses/Toyotas, I've to admit that the 2021 Genesis G80 is a gorgeous luxury sedan sold at a great price. I love that deep rich emerald green color of the car.
Hello Braeton, i think lexus have a very upmarket suv in the works. They have prestigious suv's now but i think lexus want to go more upmarket to compete with Bentley at a lower price and i think they will find a niche market and do well.

Color is a great shade of blue. The interior is very nice. I have a Lexus GS 350 AWD and may look at this down the road along with the Lexus ES 350 which has been updated. Thanks for an excellent review.
I am leasing the very same color and configuration of the G80 that was shown in this video. I previously leased a 2018 G90 and while that car was bigger, smoother and quieter than the G80, this car was better styled and sportier. While Genesis has bumped the price for these new models, they are still a good value compared to the Mercedes E Class, BMW 5 Series, Audi A6, or the Lexus ES. That said, Genesis has done a terrible job at marketing all of its cars here in the US. Genesis was the tournament sponsor for the PGA’s Genesis Invitational at Riviera Country Club (you know the tournament where Tiger Woods had his accident) and during the four day televised event it only had a single commercial that they showed over and over again and it wasn’t that good to start with. Genesis’ new SUV, the GV80 was not advertised at all. Come on Genesis, if you want to successfully compete with the Germans, you need a new marketing department.

Someone by my house has one of these. Looks good in the flesh. It looks very low, coupe-like. I don’t usually critique people, but I want this guy to be successful. I’ve watched him for years, but I will say that I notice that he speaks as if he’s the only one that is a enthusiast of automobiles. Genesis has been out for years, no need to insult intelligence. I love cars just like any other man.
xperts have noted that the full massage seats have a tendency to put the drivers to sleep, or at least over relax for the attentiveness needed for safe driving. BUT, as noted by most manufacturers of cars with massive screens in the middle console and full massage seats, they don't really care if you're paying attention to the road, only if you buy their cars, safety is the least of their concerns.
Man you've just really really sealed my deal. I have an 2018 G80 I've drove an ES an had 3 GS's. They've discontinued. The GS. No more. Funny when I went to get another GS in 2018 my dealer was like listen here no more GS but I'm not sopposed to tell you this my son n law has a G80. I'd advise you get that. That car is the real deal. Look they been out since 2008 but still under the Hyundai name. Good dam car too. The ES at the time didn't have all wheel drive and I had one before and the LS is over priced so I went and got a G80..in my opinion I'm telling you this G80 knocks out the GS. Ask urself why it's no more. Done. They don't make GS's anymore if they did I'd probably have one the ones you see today are left overs Lexus is giving them away. But that G80 my man you've helped me make my choice. Either the GV 80 or this. Getting it. It's bigger then the the one I have now. Love it. October I'll have mine. Not even tired of the one I have now. It's a 2018. Beautiful car with double the toys any of my GS's had. Lane stay. Heads up display. I can go on and you know I can. Faster then my old GS 365 HP to 303 and this new one is 375 hp oh yes I've done my home work but the way you did this you made it so easy for me to say ok I'm gonna get the car not the truck. When the G90 Truck comes out because it will I'll get that in another 3 or 4 yrs. Genisis is a very good car I've not had one problem but I keep my cars 3 yrs. I'll never purchase it just a lease in n out. But thank you for helping me make my decision. Dogecoin 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
