Hi Jeff , I have two Ghosts , the world record and deep black special editions. Awesome rifles. After extensive pellet testing with both guns, the Barracuda 8’s just nudged it, but not by much. The Barracuda FT’s and Diablo fields were also excellent.
As a Ghost owner myself, thanks for that little heads up showing and correcting that problem should it arise. As it's still quiet a new rifle to the market, any little foibles are still coming out so every one that's found and sorted is always useful 😊👍
No problem. It was a case of falling over the solution really. Everyone on the forums was convinced it was pellet fouling, when I was sure it wasn't. Fortunately, the rifle is so easy to work on it was easily solved. 🙂👍
Hi Jeff, Great video. I saw you and spoke to you at Pete's Airgun Farm a few weeks ago. Nice to chat. I have a Ghost and it favours Baracuda 8's. I also had an issue with the rifle two days ago not cocking and firing properly. It turns out a pellet had fallen out of the single shot loader into the sears/hammer spring area causing the issue. Two screws to remove the sear (watch out for the small pin too) and the remains of the pellet fell out. Now the Ghost fires well. I suppose its a design fault...hey ho ..carry on the good work and cheers for your efforts.
Good to meet you too. Yes, apparently the fouled pellet has been an issue. I guess that's why a lot of people were saying that was my issue. As you saw mine was just loose bolts. Thanks for sharing. 🙂👍
This HFT stuff you’re doing is great, I’ve only just started really not very good but I enjoy it, I did come to the Cambridge club for the diabolical shoot, but got a frosty welcome from the chap booking me and a friend in, I haven’t been back, I Digress, thanks for your content.
Nice video mate, glad you sorted the problem out. A prime example of why you should always take more than one gun to the range, in case one of them stops working! 8-)
Hi Jeff, it's beer o'clock time with a Jeff video 😂😂👍👍👍cool video and that impact airgun place looks ready tidy, that's a new place for you to shoot and hang out 👍👍 I think you had a Ghost in your Ghost at the range, maybe the range was built on an old graveyard or something 👻👻👻🤣🤣lol.. and a ghost un-tightened the screws on your rifle.. 🤔🤔🤣🤣🤣 but I'm glad you got the problem solved, nice one.. have a great weekend Jeff 👍✌️🤟
that’s a nice little range . ah the ghost dry nice gun and pretty dam accurate. shot a mates one a few times and it was sublime to shoot and handle . was not even very pellet fussy although ft barracuda go really well through it but so do jsb 8.44 or the air arms 👍
Hi, I'm near Soham, between Ely and Newmarket. I understand you're not too far away since you mentioned Mildenhall in a previous video. I might have to go to ImpactAirguns as the club near me only has a very short airgun range. I would like to test out my Walther RM8 over a number of distances as I don't quite have a long enough back garden to see what my pellet trajectory is yet.
Hi jeff, I’ve just got a new brc ghost and I’m having trouble with the trigger and can’t find a happy medium it either has no first stage or I can get a little first stage but the trigger is then really hard to pulled after that. Do u have any idea please. Great videos.
Hi Robert, I've had a bit of a fiddle with my ghost trigger and haven't been able to set it anywhere near what might be described as light. I just get to the point where it won't latch. I've got mine set just to the point where it still latches and everything works safely.
Not the sort of problem you want to encounter with an expensive PCP that's for sure. Hopefully it was as simple as a loose screw. Range looks quite good
Hows things in UK about using indoor tracks like this? You need to be part of a club and pay yearly club fees and track fees before you are able to go shoot?
Interesting video but sound quality was poor and I missed a lot of what you said. Granted I was watching on my phone and was out in the garden with wind. Cheers
There's a lot I don't know John, I still class myself as a relative newbie. I'll have to test that with the ghost. I know that I've found single shot loading more accurate on some rifles. I guess it depends how smooth the loading system is? 🙂

Hi Mark, from all reports I've heard no ghosts seem to be that pellet fussy. As you can see from my results there wasn't much in it. All the best.

Mine loves JSB Heavys, super accurate out to silly ranges for an air rifle with them.
I think I have some of them somewhere, I'll have to give them a try. 👍

Sorry to hear about your bad experience at Cambridge. It's usually friendly there.

Any excuse for owning more than one rifle is a good one! 😄👍
Thanks for the pellet testing , looking forward to your next video
Many thanks! 🙂👍

Great video would you say the ghost is one of the best pcps available
Thanks Maurice. That would be a big claim as I've shot very few PCPs other than the ones I've owned. Personally, I love it and would recommend it. 🙂👍

Sounds like the outdoor range there would suit your needs. Well worth a visit. 🙂👍

For a gun that cost as much as it does it’s not very good at all, thanks for your reply
Mine likes the AA diablo fields the best as well
😀👍
That's my point the Ghost is a top tier PCP and it loads perfect through the magazine at least .ine does.
Yes the action is very smooth. Guess I'm too used to using single shot loaders.
Not the sort of problem you want to encounter with an expensive PCP that's for sure. Hopefully it was as simple as a loose screw.
Range looks quite good
All sorted now hopefully. Not sure if the hammer recoil loosened the bolts, but something to keep my eye on. 🙂👍

Not all ranges in the UK require a membership. Some, like the Impact Airguns range are simply pay-per-session.
What head size were the jsb diablo's ??
4.52, die 43, 2021

Sorry to hear that, but there's not a lot I can do about the wind in your garden. All the best! 😄👍
A real shame about Theoben The Rapide 7 was a nail gun
I believe Air Force is still manufacturing under the Theoben name in the USA.
You should use the magazine. Shooting by loading 1 pellet at a time don't make it no more accurate I thought you would have known that bud.
